Here is a quick tutorial on how to install and secure a bracket onto a gas strut.
1. Rotate the retaining clip around the collar of the ball socket.
2. Pull out the two locating holes to remove them.
3. using a pair of pliers grip the ball stud and pull it from the socket.
4. Place the ball bracket over the ball socket and firmly press downwards until you hear a positive 'click' indicating its securely in place.
5. Reinsert the retaining clip into the two locating holes and clip it back over the collar of the socket.
You have now successfully installed and secured a bracket onto a gas strut.
