But Superman literally gave no shits when beating the crap out of Zod that he was destroying dozens of buildings. He could've tried to move the fight somewhere less populated, like, I don't know, the HUGE BODY OF WATER RIGHT NEXT TO THE CITY. In Age of Ultron Iron Man made it a point to move the Hulk away from areas with a lot of people but here the so-called selfless hero doesn't consider that he's probably killing thousands of people.

Yeah really though. This scene is what made me absolutely despise Superman. Such a powerful being, surely he could try to steer the fight away from the city. Instead he casually flies through crowded buildings, killing God knows how many and just callously goes about his business like nothing is wrong in the next movie. At the very least, he should have had some major negligence liability. I honestly wanted Batman to kill him. It seems like the logical thing to do. As long as Superman exists on Earth, he opens the door for escalation. As we have seen in comic book movies. When the Superhero first shows up, the villains that start to come get badder and badder and more innocent people die. Batman should have stuck that spear right in Superman's heart.

At least the Avengers show remorse for their wanton destruction. That's the entire plot of Civil War. Superman just goes on like "lol nope, nothing wrong here". On top of that, we see the Avengers making it a priority to try and contain the fighting and protect civilians. Superman again just throws Zod into packed buildings. Like come on Supes.

Basically the general audience of today, unfortunately.

I personally enjoy the dark gritty undertones in both Steel and Dawn and love the contrast to the light-hearted marvel films, I only stopped like DCEU when they tried to go like marvel with League, which I hate. If I could have it my way I would have made Man of Steel. Then with Dawn of Justice, I would have kept the hatred between supes and batman flowing even to the first justice league film. I think they should have made Superman the full-fledged villain of Justice League to subvert audience expectations. Would have been epic. Just imagine it. The perfect trilogy, Man of Steel, sets up Superman with dark undertones. Dawn of Justice, sets up a reasonable dislike towards Superman. Justice League, makes Superman the villain. If I really could change things and make my own DCEU, I would have made Man of Steel and kept the Wayne Industries Easter Eggs. Then I would have made Batman film as a prequel, showing his origin as a good man, but in the end, he loses Robin, turning him darker and more sinister. Then Batman v. Superman would have built on the previous two movies, by clashing two characters we had grown to like in both Man of Steel and Batman. I would have saved doomsday forever and instead brought Zod back for the final battle, but a bit more crazy. No flash/cyborg/Aquaman email stuff either. Wonderwomen would appear also to help defeat Zod, yet in the end, Batman watches as Zod kills Superman (with a neck breaker to mirror Man of Steel) and it flashes back to Robin dying the same way. Batman is flustered with rage, picks up a shard of kryptonite and stabs (a distracted) Zod in the head, killing him. Next, wonder woman arrives, then a flash film, then an Aquaman film and then justice league, (so that justice league isn't forced to spend it first act introducing the characters because they already have movies to build from) The team must come together to stop a bad guy, and thus resurrect Superman to help, but instead, Superman returns but completely evil, and the team is forced to stop him. In the end, Superman wraps his arm around Batman's neck to snap it (again mirroring Man of Steel) but remembers his own death and stops, slowly returning back to his former self just in time for the whole team to COME TOGETHER and stop the other bad guy. SO if you've been following: Man of Steel (2013) Batman (2014) Batman v. Doesn't matter. You see this is the problem many people don't catch on to. look at it again and think about from the perspective on the ground. the utter hopelessness that you lives are literally at the mercy of these beings. good or bad.

This cut and editing was way better compared to theatrical version. This cut should have been played in theatrical version which allows audiences to connect with the story. As a DC fan I am waiting for MOS 2 with Henry Cavill reprising his role as Superman, hopefully Zach Snyder will be back to direct that movie, let the studio give more freedom to synder this time since they have already fucked up Justice league movie.

I think it would've been good too but I think having it strictly from Bruce's perspective makes feel almost scarier as if you're running through all the destruction with him.

It's a cool version of how the WHOLE scene plays out, but I prefer the original for BVS because it takes out all the context and gives you an idea of what it would be like in the confusion of being stuck in the crossfire of a battle where you have no idea what's going all. You experience the movie from the perspective of a civilian which makes it more frightning, and lays the foundation of why Batman hates Superman. Batman is only going by what he saw, without context. But it was cool to see how the two movies tie together which I've never seen done before in movies. Two differant perspectives of the same scene. then tied together.

Nah, there's no point of showcasing the exact same scenes from its predecessor.
