@@AFCManUk yes we open and close doors in both ato mode and tripcock. There is a switch where the doors could automatically open when stopped in platform in ato area same as thameslink class 700’s do when in ato and the driver just closes and presses ato start but that function is not enabled on lu for safety reasons. Drivers check the platform is safe before opening doors if there is a issue on the platform its safer for passengers to not get caught up in it so LU drivers maintain control of door opening.

@@AFCManUk the 3 tones when at a station in ato tells the driver the target point has advanced same as a signal clearing to green means we are good to depart so once platform checks are done doors closed and then we depart.
