I was assaulted and robbed on Sunday 7 September 1997 in the afternoon on metrorail near Paarl and will never, ever take this disgusting method of transpirt again. Having said that, your videos are beautiful and remind me of before 1994 when I could safely take a trip from Kraaifontein to Cape Town with my granny as we did quite a few times But never again after 1997.

Cool compilation! What’s with the siren things those trains blow instead of having horns?

We don’t use sirens on trains in America except for a specific maintenance company called LORAM. I’m not exactly sure when’s it’s used since they are hard to find, but their equipment can be dangerous.
