If you go back and watch Lindor on the final out, while everyone else erupted in cheers and applause, he looked like he was finally able to relax and unwire. He’s was so locked in and so high on adrenaline that the come down must have been EXHAUSTING. But he had 3 frames of defense to play, and he wasn’t letting this game go. My shortstop. My captain. My MVP.

Definitely need to see Senga again, He's a necessary piece the longer this run goes. Keep ramping him up.

I love the game by game mentality. The team seems to have a good balance between celebrating the big moments, keeping it business, and not getting too down when things don't go well.

Something that stands out to me is the fact that this team has had a game by game mentality since June. This team went 9-19 in the month of May and since they turned the page to June they’ve been playing in high leverage MUST win games consistently just to keep the season alive. They’re ready for any situation and a good team consistently wins from a full team effort. Thats what we’re seeing now. Can’t wait for the boys to get some rest and bounce back stronger than ever.

I am still utterly gobsmacked! Think about it. At the end of May the Mets were 11 games under 500, the team was only a game or two away from being in last place in the NL East, and even one of the team's own pitchers called the Mets the worst team in baseball ... I had given up on the season, thinking we have some rebuilding to do .... and yet, here we are ... heading to the NCLS to play for the NL pennant, this is why I LOVE baseball.

I think I want Manaea game one because I don’t think you push Senga to potentially appearing in three games no matter what. Manaea could be available for innings in a game 7 if he starts the first one.

When Lindor hit that “Santa Maria” grand slam in Cleveland he pimped it, gave a little flex had some fun with it, but now it’s all business for him. He’s on a mission to win a chip and until he achieves that he’s gonna go about these moments like it’s just another hit and I am totally on board with that.

Thank you Jerry! I thought that was a weird moment between Bader and Lindor because Lindor nonchalanted his way out there to take it toward second when the runner was tagging. Preserve the force play. Protect against a wild pitch. Just not a good moment.

I’m going to give myself some credit for always believing in Francisco Lindor. As pessimistic as I can be about the team (particularly front office regimes), I never hate on players who are giving their all, and I was never pessimistic about him. I loved when they traded for Francisco and gave him the extension, and I was angry at the fans for not sticking by him-I still think the “thumbs down” thing was hilarious and the fans 100% deserved it (also, I kinda hate most fans). I knew it was only a matter of time until he showed why he’s the leader of this team, and why he’s still one of the faces of baseball. I wanted him to stick it to all the haters, but he’s a bigger person than I am, and way too classy for that.

I must say..... Luis Torrens deserves a few innings.....hes done a nice job this year and..... people forget.....hes even had some big games at the plate this year.

I'm confused, how is where Bader threw to the wrong play? Realmuto's run doesn't matter, and with that being the second out, isn't it more important to try and keep the force at second? If you throw to third, and the runner beats it, the runner at first also advances to second. It's not a HUGE deal either way with a 3-run lead, but I would think maintaining the force at second is the priority.
