The Monsoon was good for business, Uncle Stevie, thinking of building a mote, by the junkyards entrance. No Aircraft, after awhile, was also much appreciated! Pete did his dance again! It was a real hullsbalue for this give hundred team! Oh boy!
Mets is on fire right now to spite all the brown lead's their still really good imagine wat there record would be if they weren't blowing leads fr maybe 20 games over by now
Mets intend to make a real push they need a reliable #1 starter #2 bring up luisangel acuna and get him in there NOW, HE HAS SPEED ,SPEED, SPEED. HOW MUCH WORSE COULD HE BE THEN Mcneil...#3. 2 bullpen arms or move McGill or Peterson to bullpen or whenever
Forgive us fr not showing up! Luck a the draw! Caught us, on one game. Mests sht there pants, when grand salami caused them too Upchuck there pizza pie! Judge record breaker!
The series exposed Juan Soto as a defensive liability (at least to me it did). According to Statcast's Outs Above Average metric (OAA), Soto was the sixth-worst defensive outfielder in baseball this past season.
Soto was not brought to the Yankees for defense so stop it and now one bad play in the outfield he is trash FOH dude is hitting 300 and is on base most of the time for our captain to drove him in
Clearly you don’t listen consistently.. they’ve been talking about the Yankee problems outside of judge Soto and volpe.. and Sal still didn’t believe in the Mets when they started to get hot set clear criteria that would get him back invested and that was how they performed in the ranger series… they cooked and then swept the Yankees passing the bar he set more than he expected… why are you here listening just to hate ?
It's too soon imho. I love alvy but the Mets as a franchise have put a ton of meaning into that "C" and we need at minimum a long term extension/contract before considering it. I could see Alvy getting extended this offseason, assuming his play is consistent the rest of the season, but I honestly don't know whether alvarez/the Mets are ready yet. If he is willing to, and the Mets truly believe in him, a 10 year deal isn't absurd as it could help both sides, Mets get a premium by extending him at 22 when they don't remotely have to and Alvy would get the security of being "set for life" and the Mets could throw a bunch of bonuses in there that will make up for Alvy signing before (hopefully) he is the 100% face of the franchise. Have any significant franchise record broken by alvy, and possibly some position specific ones, like most HRs, RBI, hits etc. If this is remotely realistic I can't see why it wouldn't work, the bonuses would basically up his contract to a proper "franchise" amount and if he triggers these bonuses the Mets will likely be ecstatic as he would be the unquestioned Captain and leader, an all-time great and possibly in the argument as the most important offensive player in our history. And I will always love Wright, and it would be amazing to have Alvy be in the conversation with him. We can't make a 22 year old "The captain" if he could be gone shortly thereafter. I'm a Mets /Jets fan so pessimism runs through my veins and I would die inside if he was the captain but not a "Mets lifer" and just like with Wright there's no rush, a true leader doesn't need the C to lead the team.
@stevenholmes4324 maybe a good team like the Astros will pose a challenge but Yanks were outclassed. Yanks could rattle off a bunch of losses in a row and who would be surprised?
Mets are not one player. They are collectively a team. One individual can spark others but it is up to the team collectively to succeed. Alvarez is a good player and provided a spark but it is required that all players contribute to keep things going.😊 In this lineup, only McNeil is not contributing.
Not much of a surprise that Sal is feeling himself after the Mets wins over the Yankees. However, he better be careful what he wish for in regards to the Braves. We all know Alex is currently plotting some deals to improve the team. Sal and the rest of the Metsies better enjoy it while it lasts.
🤦🏿♂️ these radio guys 🤣🤣🤣🤣........ In a long season team plays bad for a little bit. Everybody screams MURDER DEATH KILL.... Now they're playing well, radio guys turn into jockstrap washes 🤷🏿♂️
As a met fan and for my friends that know me, after falling 11 games under I never waved the towel but I was realistic that things weren't looking good and was expecting them to stay the course (hover around the .500 mark). It's obvious that Alvarez is a huge spark for this team and shows the value of having a very smart and baseball savvy catcher leading your team. You couple that with how the team is clicking on all cylinders and you have a recipe for some magical stuff happening. Season is still far from over but every met fan should be enjoying this ride in the "grimace era", even you Sal, lol. Let's Go Mets!!!!
You know, it was times like the last few months that separated the bandwagon Mets fans from the REAL Mets fans. I'll always love my Mets and yes it was an embarrassment for a while but I always believed in them. I don't know what went on in that clubhouse but something lit a fire under their butts and the REAL Mets fans are reaping the benefits. LFGM!!!!!!!
Even the junk yard dogs, were barking! Think nothin of it! We did this fr you, to help you think better of yourselves. Even Oakland n The White Sox, win bàllgames, every now, n then!
Aaron Judge has been the best player in baseball for about two months now. But we appreciate your lame idiotic appraisal of the situation when he hits a Homerun.
Im not getting ahead of myself until we are at least 3-5 games over 500 we have been here before the mets have to continue to win series it starts with hopefully a win vs the astros
didnt these idiots a week ago call the mets a failure, cohen a failure. i mean, its not easy blowing smoke day in and out. but these two are legendary. lol
...whichever way the wind blows! Though it's entertaining, this proves once again that sports punditry is borne of inaccuracy and pure conjecture. Play the games! 162 of 'em!
"Met's are a good team" but last month you said "Met's are a bad team". Let's look at overall record please. I think Yanks will do better than the present awfulness and Mets will do worse than how great they are now playing.
i feel like this is the Mets every year lately. They go thru a stretch of great baseball, win 10 out of 12 or something like that and then the all star break comes and after that they fall flat.
im worried the bullpen is gona take us down a notch though, the mets will come back down to earth a bit at least. we have to not completely collapse. that will be the test, how do we endure when things arent going so well
