If this is a preview, of whats to come of the Mets this year, it' Ugly !!! There's a "Golden Rule" in Baseball ,that my Dear Old Dad taught me, 50 years ago, when I was 12 years old in Little League... "Good Pitching, Stops Good Hitting ! " Period ! That's why the best hitters in baseball, make out 7 out of 10 times at bat. So why Steve Cohen and the Mets management Didn't focus on this point during the off season, when they knew about losing DeGrom. Nothing against Maxx and Verlander, but come on, their getting up there in age, you can't expect them to carry the whole pitching staff. Yes, their great to have around ,with all their experience, helping the younger pitchers,etc. But they needed to get some younger stronger, pitching, in the off season, like when they had a chance to get Carlos Roden, but they didn't and the Yankees did. It's nice to develop young pitching talent, from your farm team, but the Mets can't wait around for another Tom Seaver , once in a lifetime, If they wanted to be a contender in October, this year.

well OOTP baseball did have the Mets as a barely above 500 team.

This was so satisfying to watch if they can keep this up the Brewers are gonna be a problem this year for other teams

I saw this coming as a Mets fan I really did.. Cursed and relying on the fountain of youth once again... Mets aren't going anywhere this year we lost Diaz for the year and we have 2 starting pitchers that are clearly washed up Scherzer and Verlander who by the way is hurt... Carrasco stinks the rest of the pitchers you don't know what your gonna get out of them, Same thing said for our Lineup, Lindor is horrible once again but he batted like a champ for his Country Pete Alonso is inconsistent and so is everyone else except for Jeff McNeil and Brandon Nimmo and Starling Marte ... Mets are lucky if they even make the playoffs this year ! It's a disgrace when you loose 19-0 in 2 games to Milwaukee
