FUN FACT: David Fry is a potential superstar that NOBODY is talking about. Second highest OPS in MLB and EASILY the highest OBP (.479) in baseball. Just wait til he gets some more at-bats. The fact he didn't even make the majors til last year (27) makes it that much more amazing to me.
David Fry is actually the 3rd string catcher. Vogt should give Fry more at bats . Make Hedges the starting catcher, alternating with Fry and send Bo Naylor back to AAA or give him some pinch hitter ABs. Fry has shown he can hit Major League pitching. Bo has yet to achieve that. And I don’t want to hear any stuff about his “defensive skills”. Hedges is at least as good defensively. Hedges also has a weak stick but I take him over Bo Naylor any day.
@@tonyc413You think letting Bo stay on the Tribe is Cleveland's way of hoping big brother re-signs?? That's my daughter's theory. It's got me thinking, anyway.
Home run pitch i only get to see the highlights i knew he'd come through w/ that double then he took 3rd.. and i called the homer just felt it... my favorite Indian of this era!! JOSE JOSE JOSE JOSE JOSE JOSE!!
It’s gotta hurt Lindor to watch how much fun Cleveland is having. Getting paid is great but he doesn’t smile or seem to have as much fun as he had when he was here. But if he didn’t leave we wouldn’t have Jose and Gimmy locked up. Guess it worked out for everyone.
Hitting under .200 with 7-8 more years and $250M left is NOT working for the Mets 🤣🤣🤣. Happy he got his payday though. Miss seeing him in a Cleveland uniform. Hope Kwan is locked up next. Turns out not throwing ridiculous o ffers at Lindor and Bieber was 100% the right move.
@@mericanignoranc3551 I don't think he was speaking for him, he was just speculating. And it's hard to argue that the trade has been productive for the Mets.
Lindor might cry now and then into a few $1 bills, but I assure you, he got paid and doesn't care a lick if the Mets win or not. Otherwise he might try hitting as well as he did before the contract.
What a weird stretch for Clase. Making the error two nights ago, then Naylor declined to throw him the ball yesterday, then he receives the DP ball BUT it has to be reviewed?! The universe is trying to shake our guy's confidence. He's so elite, though. Amazing season so far. Go Guardians
Again, can not express how amazing Freeman is doing in the hardest position in the outfield having NEVER PLAYED IT BEFORE!!! Every game he does something extraordinary....and only very rarely does he do what some might call rookie moves in taking a wrong angle to the ball. Yeah, 20 catches like the one at 5:10 is worth so much more than 1 or 2 (thus far) per month he might play slightly incorrectly. Happy birthday, you stud!!
The Clase last out redemption arc is complete. 😂 Recap: A two games ago on 5/19, he fumbled an assist toss from Naylor to first for the last out, giving up a run. Brennan bailed them out with a walkoff. Last game, 5/20, Clase was in motion to the bag and closer, but Naylor stood up and ran it the whole way, not risking a toss to Clase. And finally, 5/21, the redemption, Clase getting the save by fielding the double play at first. Lol. I'm curious what will happen next and if the saga will continue.
Lindor is just banking on his image and smile now because he doesn’t care enough anymore to actually perform and help his team win games. He was already trending that way by 2020 but that ridiculous contract was just the nail in the coffin. Sad to see
This is a good game to reflect on how deep this team is. Our leadoff man is hurt. Our ace is out for the season. Cookie is hurt. And yet, here is another quality arm; and we are doing what we do without much of a letdown from losing the human radar, the human contact machine, Steven Kwan.
In his first start of the season, Guards SP Xzavion Curry pitched okay but seemed to run out of gas and didn't fare too well in the 5th. The Guards Bullpen, also did not fare too well, almost blowing the slim lead.... thankfully, Closer Emmanuel Clase was able to secure the 1 run Victory for Cleveland. It's good to see Rookie DH-1B Kyle Manzardo starting to do better facing MLB pitching with another extra base hit. It was about time, Cleveland finally DFA'd that lousy Laureano with this terrible .143 Batting Avg.
@@troyyonally3681nope native Americans are actually more upset the tribe was taken away as Cleveland was the first club with a Native American player (two of them actually) so if anything you are trying to erase native culture by being a white savior. Hope that helps ❤
Troy, I grew up in AZ and spent time on several reservations. Indians and Redskins gear BY FAR the most popular lol. Stop listening to non natives telling you what offends actual ones lol. The NCAI (National Congress of American Indians) had no issues. Think about that.
0:48 im not a hardcore baseball fan by any means...but how is this a strike when you can see on TV its outside the zone? Humans make mistakes, they should rely more on video IMO
For the most part, the mistakes aren't egregious enough to change the game to a degree that MLB isn't not comfortable with, Angel Hernandez aside. Plus, it's mid May, where these calls aren't nearly as important as they will be in 3 months. Even with the robotic system, you need to have a umpire back there to call balls and strikes. The robotic system can only really handle pitching challenges, at the moment.
