this unfortunately would never happen in greece , even with rotting christ for example! ALL HAIL to estonia , a little nation that admires , promotes, respects and exports its national metal music/national culture!!!
And what can I say?!? The Public "just loved it!" A great modern - hard rock/punk rock - version of a classical opera song from the 1950's. This was also the main miniseries lyrics and theme song to "Tuule pealnemaa" about the Estonian raise to independence, soon followed by their fall to the Russians, then Germans, and eventually orchestrated inclusion in the Soviet Union which started a 45 year occupation. Simply, I love this song and Metsatöll rendition of it!
Üle vainude valendab aur Vahulillede udune voodi Igaühel on südamelaul Igaühel on see isemoodi Lähen karjateed, karukell käes Kutsun hiliseid laule ma koju Ja nad tulevad männiku mäelt Kõige viimane udus veel ujub Minu laule vist teavad siin kõik Õhus ripuvad kellukakannud Kuna kõik nad siit karjamaalt sõid Nüüd üks vallatu plehku on pannud Üle vainude valendab aur Mul on närbunud karukell süles Igaühel on siin oma laul Ja ma oma ei leiagi üles
+florenna Had to look up what cloister was, but no, klooster in English means monastery. Pirita klooster was in its time a monastery of Saint-Brigitta, but it was essentially destroyed in 1560-1577(set of events that led to its destruction).
Fantastic band! What a spirit! I attended one of their show just days before the war with russia. Will go again after our victory. Hail to Estonia! Слава Україні!
I always look for English translations, and either someone has already posted it (thanks!), or I get a very vague insight via machine translators... In this case, a native Estonian confirmed the most surreal lines for me 🤣
Enamus ei saa aru laulu sõnadest. Mina Metsatöllu mehi ei tunne aga superhea coveri tegid. Laulu sõnade autor oli hingevalus Eestlane sest võitles EV vastu (näiteks Liivamäe lahingus). Minu jaoks on absoluutne andekus bändi poolt. Valter oli laps ja segaduses aga oli EV vastu võitleval poolel. Hiljem boiss saru kus seisab, sellest ka lugu. Hingeseisund on võtmesõna. Padar, Toome jms hardkoor rahva lemmikud, tehke järele mida Atso läbi ammuztas
I know this is by far a long shot, but does anyone know the name of the plucked instrument first shown at around 0:10? I've been searching everywhere and I can't find anything.
+Luke Bradley en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kannel_(instrument) The kannel ([ˈkɑnːel]) is an Estonian plucked zither, one of the family of Baltic psalteries which includes the Finnish kantele, Russian gusli, the Latvian kokle and the Lithuanian kanklės. The Estonian kannel has a variety of traditional tunings. In Estonia, studying the kannel has made a resurgence after some years of decline. et.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kannel et.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rahvakannel et.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kromaatiline_kannel
