I have zero music theory knowledge, much to my detriment - but I'm wondering how the last bar works musically. Like you say it goes off key slightly, but it still doesn't sound wrong? Is there any rules as to when you should / shouldn't do this or just a case of listening and if it sounds good do it?

Hi Jake. The last bar doesn’t work musically if you’re referring to the chord being in the scale of E minor, which Neptune is. The last chord in the sequence is B major which does work tonally though. The best way to explain it is musically you wouldn’t expect to hear it, but in the right chord sequence it can work well and give a great impact to a sequence. We hope that makes sense :)

I think this last chord is harmonic minor chord (D sharp-Fsharp-B)
