From what I understand, in many case the Cartels approach the officers and give them the choice to work for them or see their families murdered… Easy to point a finger unless you’re actually in that situation.
@someman7 At least they made an effort to be part of the solution until they received the unrefusable offer. The better question is why the Mexican authorities / politicians allow the cartels to thrive. 2cnd question is why doesn't the Federal Government of the Banana Republic of Americanista demand that Mexico clean up their sh#! Ho!e country up. It's incredible that Americans choose to live there.

@@angelroque5528There are several instances where cartels kidnapped and executed innocent civilians to keep the public in check. Sometimes they make their victims lie in order to throw hot water on their rivals. Just look at what they did to those 4 friends in Jalisco last year.
What do you mean? Cops don't "dig into crimes" over there. It's Mexico. Not even comparable to latin countries. Every single cop down there is complicit on some level. You don't last more than a day or two otherwise. It's not simply "many cops". It's literally all of them. This ain't like Colombia.
@@Ryan88881it's not like they have a choice, most of them have the choice of either working for the cartel or watch their families executed o have themselves killed
government = politics Politics = making deals, doing business ... Even with cartels ex: even for sake of keeping as much peace on the streets for civilians, as possible.
Had a friend from El Salvador tell me that one day back in his country while he was hanging out with his friends, a few teenagers walked up to them and asked him if he wanted to work for them. One of his friends said no (they knew they worked for a cartel) then the teenagers pulled out their pistols put them all on their knees and executed 3 of his homeboys. Then they asked the last 2 again. They were then hooked up on heroin and given daily tasks to carry out. The cartel dudes knew they wouldn’t try to run away because they needed another dose. Everytime. After learning about that and how he made it to America it explained a lot why he was mentally… unhinged. Good dude though, just an absolute severe alcoholic.
^ not everything is “cap” just because your insulated, sheltered mind is unaware of the crazy stuff that goes on in this world. *Could* this dude be lying? Of course… it’s the internet. But stuff like this - and worse - happens every single day

Do you remember a few years ago when the media circulated information about the mass execution of students whom the police arrested and handed over to the cartel? And later, a mass grave was found with several dozen bodies of arrested students. Yes the cops do work with the cartels and the majority cartel members are actually ex cops or special force
These guys actually got released, they didn't die. A group of armed men subdued and interrogated what is presumed to be four police officers from the municipality of Concepción de Buenos Aires in the Mexican state of Jalisco, who they recorded and forced to confess alleged links with the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG). The video, which has since been circulated on social media networks, showed the interrogation of the four individuals, who could be seen kneeling and clad in municipal police uniforms. At one point in the video clip, one of the captors demanded the police officers name the municipal police chiefs who are allegedly linked to the CJNG, which he referred to as “the four letters.” “The name of the directors is Mari Martínez and Joel Mora,” replied the police officer. “Joel Mora is from the (municipality of) Mananilla de la Paz, and Mari is from Concepción de Buenos Aires.” The interrogator then asked if the names mentioned by the police officer were the ones in charge of sending them to “monitor cruise ships,” and the policeman answered yes, but only “when the government and the Army enters.” The video clip lasts just 28 seconds, and the armed individuals do not identify themselves as part of any criminal group. Although the video clip started to be circulated as early as the morning of Tuesday, Aug. 16, there has yet to be any comment from the Jalisco Prosecutor’s Office. According to a report in Mexican daily newspaper Reforma, the incident occurred a month ago, and the police officers have since been released. pulsenewsmexico.com/2022/08/18/armed-group-interrogate-release-municipal-police-officers/
