Very nice shots and colors. The best I have seen so far from the Texas Leica. Well done! There is no need for large format, when you have a 6x9 camera, that is so portable. Stay tuned.
I'm sooo sorry about your dog. It truly is a heart breaking thing to go through and it sucks! Thank you none the less for still sharing with us. Beautiful photos.
Dear Marcus, 8 photos per roll is so little but at the same time is something that pushes us so hard to get something good out of each roll. During the last year I’ve started to think that my digital cameras are my practice tools I need to use to get better with film. This is why my Canon bodies are collecting dust and I went back to an old Fuji xpro1. Images are good enough and the experience is the closest I can get to that of a film camera. Keep up with your nice work!
My condolences on the loss of your dog. I had four growing up and it's emotionally draining when they pass on. Fantastic pics !...luv the colors and the old vehicles.
That ending is straight out of a Wes Anderson movie! Sorry again for your loss. Car shots turned out great but if you did want to go back and shoot again we might be there in December haha :) :)
Your experience with the dog was indeed sad but unfortunate. I am glad that you were able to pull yourself together and continue. Mexico seems to be a country best represented by color images. It can be overwhelming to decide upon what to focus and to what degree. I get it. Some is better than none, Still, one leaves with an aura of emptiness and incompleteness because there is so much to see and capture. It is a fantastic buffet for the eyes that can only be savored and digested on click at a time. Like the after effects of a satisfying meal, take a nap, then rise and begin again.
First of all bro, really really sorry to hear about the passing of your dog. Hope you're doing alright. The photos were stunning as always. I don't think there was single photo that didn't just jump out and inspire me.
Nice I didn't expect to see that kind of architecture there. I always appreciate what you do with your videos and this camera. You and it render the scenes perfectly.
So sorry to hear about your dog, Marcus. They really are a part of the family. Despite what was no doubt a very difficult time, you've made some beautiful photos,. I found myself pausing on almost all of them, trying to take them in! Love your channel and your energy, keep doing what you're doing : )
Great video as always dude!! Sorry to hear about your dog. The images you got were great!! I particularly enjoy the one at 8:23. I totally get what said about wanting to be present. I just got back from a trip to Arizona and I shot a bunch of photos and videos for my channel but finding that balance between creating work and staying in the moment is definitely a challenge.
@@MarcusLloyd I feel you, I was there twice already (with dogs). Nevertheless, I'm totally a dog person so I got me a third one. 8 years and counting but he still behaves like a puppy 😊
I feel for you on the pup my guy. A similar situation happened last year with my mom's dog. Wanted to say about the scene with the cars, yeah you missed out on some potential amazing shots and I get it hurts but at least you learned something from it and you're able to take that knowledge with you going forward. I just discovered your channel and I'm loving it! Keep it up & cheers from Canada.
Sorry about your dog. As another commenter mentioned, they are part of the family and it’s hard. As for the photo of the car, don’t fall into the trap of thinking your best shots are the ones you missed. Instead, focus on the next one that you’ll get because of the lesson you learned.
Rainy day, so I’m doing some binge YT viewing ;-). Wow, I also shot with a Fuji GW690III, so we’ve covered very similar ground. I seldom shot color because my lab, though I loved the people, did not really do a great job scanning my negs. So I shot and developed/scanned my own B&W, mostly. When shooting color, I always liked Portra in MF, but preferred Ektar in 35mm. Can’t say exactly why. A long time ago I did a lot of photo content on YT. You might find this video interesting, where I go through a physical photo portfolio (not sure it was a successful experiment, esp from the old low-res video days). Anyway, I think we share some similar interests re city shooting, so it’s been nice seeing your work. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-48xisughuLc.html PS: Very sorry to hear about your dog, esp that it happened in an unfamiliar environment, while you were traveling. It’s always very difficult to lose a pet.
