Hello 👋 Nice 👍 The old man started ours as kit bought from a Manx dealer in 1968 ! (Kyotoe) But not a Manx 😂 Built from wrecked vw’s from the Aspen Dump as there was no junkyard at that time! 56 years and still a survivor 🎉 appreciation ❤ as I have done all that work also!😅 Vw love hate relationship ✌️
Very nice build.. I'm waiting on an inheritance to be finalized and then I'd like to have one built... Do you build buggies for others? I'd definitely consider you to build one for me, as you do some very nice work.. thx for sharing... Take care and God Bless....
This is the second Manx that I have built. I have built Kit cars and high point restorations for many years. I would consider building one for you. Thank you for your kind words. This one will soon be for sale as I am beginning work on a 356 Speedster Replica. It will be a high-end build like this one.
So i have a question. Did you modify the side panels of the manx to have the sides where the 'doors' would be? Because they usually look hollow there and it sort of shows how the manx looks like a tub, and i liked this design choice better. Thanks for sharing
Awesome Manx! I have a red Manx Clone sitting on a shortened 63 Bug chassis. My Dad and I built it when I was 13. It desperately needs restoration but I'll never sell it. I watched in awe as my Dad removed the body and cut the chassis in half and shortened it. I thought he was Superman.
