Not gonna lie, I didn't want this figure because I was wary of Mezco and the issues their other Spidey figs have, but it looks pretty good. I'm still just gonna wait for a Mafex version though. I think if Hasbro were to re-do a classic Spidey 2099, they'd need to use the Renew Your Vows body.
@@CYeoung Honestly it’s a good buck for Miguel since he was always illustrated a lot bulkier than how other artists tend to draw Spider-Man. That said, I don’t think this buck is perfect for every Spidey, I still wanna see them do a proper Romita Sr or Bagley Spider-Man on uniquely sculpted bodies.
@@CYeoung probably too late for this but what the hell do you find on that mold!?! Hips are too fat, shoulders are low. They need to make a mold for spiderman like nightcrawler has since they have similar movement styles and so similar physiques.
Great review! You’re my favorite Mezco reviewer. Something about the way you go over the details, articulation, and comparisons that make it above everyone else for me.
You know man, I subscribe to several action figure reviewers and you’ve gotta be in my top 3. I think it comes down to your enthusiasm. You don’t come off as a reviewer picking apart all of the problems, more so a fan showing off a cool piece. Even when you do have issues with something, as we all do lol, you’re still enthusiastic about it and appreciate it for what it is. Big fan of yours for sure.
Great review Wade! So many valid points & very thorough information. This is actually my first Spider-Man 2099 figure & I couldn't imagine needing another. Even though I've had it awhile always a pleasure having you review a Mezco Toyz One:12 Collective figure & always dig your pics at the end.
Solid review man. You sound really happy with the figure and you did a pretty good job translating that into the video so much that for a second I was starting to regret on passing on it lol Great review and congrats on the new addition to the collection
You see my screen name do you know I got in on this. This is a truly awesome figure. For me it's a contender for FOY. It's not often that a future version of a character is anywhere near as good as the original. Two exceptions to me are Spidey 2099 and Batman Beyond. Given that Mafex is leaning hard on 90's characters I think Spidey 2099 will be coming. I also think Mafex might be the first company to give us a Doom 2099.
Ordered him. I hated the mezco black symbiote Spiderman it cracked on me the first day I got it. And the accessories where shit. They barely gave you any hands. But damn Spiderman 2099 looks amazing. And yah I'm waiting on mafex version which I'm sure will be made after across the spider verse releases so yah won't be while before we get that unless they release before the film which I'm hoping that happens.
Not gonna lie I didn’t watch the whole review but I made sure to hit the like 👍🏼. It’s like watching The Batman lol it’s great but I don’t wanna sit through it 😄🔪🔪🔪
Wow, I’m surprised… Surprised that anyone could like this figure! Nah, but honestly, I wouldn’t call this figure magical in any way, when I busted him open, I thought he was just aight. The articulation is a bit looser than I would expect, I wanted more butterfly motion, and you’re tweaking if you don’t think he looks like he’s wearing pajamas. He looks like he’s ready for night-night. I wish the costume was tighter on the body, so that the musculature could show through. For $120, I was hoping to be mind blown, and it just didn’t make me FEEL the way some other Mezcos have made me feel. I’m also not half-white half-Hispanic, so it was very difficult for me to relate to the figure
The first couple of reviews I saw of him I commented that something seems off with him. Either I’m getting used to seeing him or what. It’s cool but I am ok without him.
15:46 what are you thinking? that body looks god awful in terms of anatomy, proportions and articulations, they should give us another spidey 2099 but with a cooler more mafex inspired body with double ball pegs at shoulders, neck, writs, crotch area, legs and feet which is less expensive, more durable and more pleasing to see the spiderman hasbro didn't age well it looks like a tumorous bag of meat, study a little bit of anatomy and you'll spot it but i guess the medium collector doesn't know about this, but his brain is capable of spotting automatically the defects. so HASBRO PLEASE GIVE US A NEW BODY, HIRE AN IMPORT ENGINEER AND DON'T LISTEN TO THIS GUY even if he makes cool reviews
