It's Mezzo's ONE:12 Collective Batman 1989 action figure!
The Mighty Keaton Batman gets the Mezco treatment.
Although this is a very fine figure, this example has few problems that makes me question the hefty price tag!
This action figure features a nice amount of accessories, and having the two cape option is brilliant. But with its delicate skeleton structure it can be tricky to handle.

I'm afraid I would never spend this kind of money on a figure made of latex. It'll look great for a few years until the latex starts to rot and fall apart, at which point you've paid a hundred odd quid for a pile of broken bits, a metal skeleton and a few heads.

It is true that the materials used will deteriorate over time. Hopefully, if it’s stored properly, it will last a good amount of time. I have an original Boglin made out of a similar material and it’s still going. Not to say this figure won’t last though 🤣 Thank you for your comment and bringing this up.

It’s actually a cool figure .seem less bodies been around for some time so it’s really nothing new I have three myself 2 are 1/6 scale

I got my Mezco Batman yesterday and thank to so many videos I know now how to handle it. What was surprising is that my Batman was not covered in that white powder and is nice and black. Soon gonna put a video too.

Great figure, great review Matt. Recently purchased…the figure (body) looks gray, it’s not completely black as the head sculpts, did yours come that way too?

Ah, good question. I could if mentioned that in the video. When they pack the figure, they apply like a white powder to the main part of the body, so it doesn’t stick to the packaging. It does come off very easily.

Dude !!!! Mine has the same thing wrong with his arm same side . There are a few other people I’ve talked to on Facebook who had the same problem! I don’t think u broke urself my man . If u got it from Mezco u can get a replacement body for it . I got one from them myself they will look over the new one to make sure there is nothing wrong with the new body u get and u can keep ur old one so . U will have two of them . My broke one my roommate has used for his action figure photos “ACBA” so yeah in a way it’s a win win .

Hey, man! Yeah I’ve contacted Mezco to see if they can help me out. Still waiting on a reply, but I didn’t buy it direct from them. Hopefully it won’t matter as it sounds like it’s a common problem with this figure.

Always worth a go. They might try and help me out, or not lol. I sent them an email over the weekend, so I’ll give them a while to respond. If I get no joy then I’ll just live with it I guess.

Mine broke at the same area as well. There is a metal sleeve that connects the elbow joint to the shoulder joint and if that breaks, the result is as you have experienced. I have also contacted Mezco, almost 3 months now, and supposedly a replacement is in a shipping container somewhere. Send them your details and hope for the best.

Did you ever get your replacement from Mezco? This seems to be an issue for a lot of people, I too reached out and still waiting for my replacement

@@Monitt0 Got mine 4 or 6 months after my initial contact. Bad news is that they didn't do any alterations or improvements on the figure. The replacement had the same issues with stiff or stuck joints. I know if I force it, it will break as well. I'm never buying anything from Mezco ever again; I don't want to have to deal with this company ever again.

I love the figure, even with it faults still the best figure out there compared to the 1/6 hot toys version! I bought 3 of them! And one did have the same issue as yours with the right arm! It also broke, I contacted Mezco about this issue and sent them pictures of the damaged arm, and they’re supposedly sending me a replacement body. But still waiting! Great review though!

Just wondering between this and two of the beast kingdom batman which one is best to get? I know the beast kingdom 89 also has QC issues. Anyone has any suggestions?

I prefer the scale the Beast Kingdom figures are personally. But if you’re looking for likeness and accuracy, the Mezco is the winner. Although, the Mezco figure does have issues as well, you just need to be extra careful with it.

If I was able to go back and change things, I’d definitely give all the joints a blast with a hair dryer. It’s a very stiff figure out of the box, and others have said using a hair dryer works but you still need to be careful when setting it into a position. Hope that helps out 👍

I’ve seen this figure in person and it’s not worth the price tag, especially with issues that are known. Do yourself a favor and buy the Hot Toys one or the new Mcfarlane Batman/Batmobile

I have the Hot Toys on order. Just got to wait until 2877 until it gets released in the UK 🤣 I have seen the 89 Batman & Batmobile from McFarlane, I’ll keep a look out for it.

I’ve taken the advice from some of the comments and contacted Mezco, and see if they can help me out. I mean, this is definitely one of the best figures. I couldn’t even compare it with the Beast Kingdom one. But at least I can still move the arm without too much issue, it’s just very annoying.
