If you have the time then its no problem to make it look good. I expect to upload a new film in a few months about a MF 35X Multipower 3 cyl diesel which I have restored during the last six months. This time I also restored the engine totally, the steering box, the multipower clutch, the hydraulic Pump, the lift and everything else. This little film might be of some help for you when you restore your tractor.
Nice job. Mine is a gasoline powered (Continental) model. I just got it, with a Davis 102 loader attached. Aside from a couple of oil leaks, which I'm going to soon fix (why I am looking at youtube vids), it's a nice little tractor.
@grabberism Yes it took me half a year and about 2500-3000£ to new parts. Now Im about to start the restoration of MF25 (MF 825 the french model) and Im looking forvard to get started.
@balmoral12345 Its a very fine job you have done with the Eicher. I couldnt have done it better myself. And you are right, your 35er looks different in many ways but they were made different for different countries. And my misic is: Fur Elise and Pour adelaide.
Beautiful, fantastic job. Must have taken you ages and cost a lot for tools. I have a similar tractor 1960 model, but it smokes and leaks oil from under the gearbox.
couple of questions? what was the eventual cost of all the spare parts? also it appears you spraypainted it, would it be possible to achieve such beautifull paintjobs with a brush?, i'm asking becaus i'm an 18-year old student who might get the chance to work on one of these as a hobby soon
The total cost of all the spareparts was about 4000 $. I spraypainted it myself and the costs for paint was about 400$. You have to spraypaint it to get the beautifull finish and that you cannot achieve with a brush. I have 2 more videos where you can see how I spraypaint another mf35 and a mf 135.
considering the fact that mine is still running and working i don't presume i'll need that much spare parts. and as for paint apparently the mf dealer is willing to cut me a break because my dad bought a brand new one a short while ago. seeing this and all the available information on the internet i think i'll go for it :)
good job!!! i rebuild my Eicher panther this year! it looked like this MF 35!!! there are also some videos! of the rebuild and finish tractor on my chanel!!!! my MF 35 looks in some way different! other brakes, whole fender, not so many electronics, i´ve only a oil pressure gauge a tractormeter and a amperemeter!! my question! which music is ist?! it sounds very good! P.S. sorry i´m a german boy and can not speak english very well! please forgive ;)
I see the west Yorkshire tractor and engine club is flagging the comments again . They would be better doing away with charging £5 per tractor at newby hall next year
