@@madbot4710The fuck are you doing here listening to an hour long free album when your going to talk shit on a GOAT. You have the energy of a reddit shitposter about you sir.
uhh WHOA. I didn't see this was the deluxe edition. I've listened to the original a billion times, got to the meat wad "hey shit head!" call and I'm like "ok it's almost over", came back to the window and saw it was only half done? let it play thru...oh my god. It's like realizing your favorite movie has a part 2 you never knew existed.
Remember finding this at my Local library back in the late 90s not knowing who it was. To fall in love, I knew this was special when I learned ATHF was on this album. 11/10.
I also discovered this album at my local library. I also uncovered Quasimoto there. Who is this mysterious ahead-of-their-time influencer who ordered these gangster CD's? One step ahead of the game, yo. I think it might be a childhood friend! Remember CD's?
This did not exist in the late 90’s my dude! Why folks always over do the embellishments? Doom dope, glad to have you here. But no library in the late 90’s had this nor had zed changed his name to Doom yet! This album like 2003-2004 fella’!
Funny, this album dropped after the 90’s ended! Zed hadn’t become Doom yet. Why folks always way over do the embellishments? Glad your a fan, happy to have you, but don’t be such a little lier plz!
I really dig these albums! I _think_ my favorite is probably _Basket Case,_ if I had to choose one. I don't know, because they're all fire! I wish the "Man in The Mask" was still alive! He could turn H2O into cognac! 🎶 R.I.P. MF DOOM - B.C. D.C., O-Section, Cell #17, up under the top bunk. 🎶
MM FOOD is still my personal favorite, but in terms of which album is the best on a 'technical' level it's DangerDoom just because of the mixing and sequencing. It's on a whole different level.
I don't have one cuz it depends of a day and mood. His discography is just stunning from start to finish. Can't get enough of his lyricism and abilities as MC and producer. One of the very best to ever do it. Thank you Daniel, may you rest in peace.
"Dont block the screen, lunge across... adult swim aqua teen hunger force." The stories behind each of his albums... phenomenal artistry at its finest. Exemplified the essence of DOOM.
In the world of psychedelic Hip Hop, MF Doom the unique MC was so underrated but if you get into his cypher he's going to hit you in the head with the bone!
Operation DOOMSDAY and MM FOOD might be bigger classic and Madvilany much more important but I think this is my favorite album from him. Front to back no skip and what a great performance from Danger Mouse too. His sound makes MF DOOM even shine more
Idk have you check out viktor Vaughn? I heard he's got a few different tapes, that directly tell dooms life different... just say you didn't hear it from me, but viktor Vaughn is the end to all means, g of all kings an speaker of outer worldly beings.
I dont know if im just too classical brained or what. . . but in bada bing when DOOM says "had a nice surprise hidin" could that be a reference to Joseph Haydn's Surprise Symphony??
I swear every time Talib says Doom spits to scoobi doo I look the song up and listen to it again, mid song and go back to finish the song I was just listening too…! Real facts if that makes cents too u
just here rhyming in a comment section, noticed the lining within a surrection, now we're paying buffalo bills, sleight of hand raises appeals, waiting until you're chasing down your meals, my lyrics are carving, revisit when you're starving, teaching lore to the horde, reaching for forevermore....
This is probably the greatest rapper in the world. Sucks that we lost our man to Covid. We lost so many folks to that virus, RIP Doom you will always be my favorite.
Dangermouse getting interviewed about the production for this album (at least according to a 16 year old forum post I just googled): Danger Mouse is a firm believer that techniques and ideas are what make for quality tracks, not gear. “I don't want anybody thinking you have to have any one thing when you can use anything and make it good,” he says. You've heard it before, but it's not DM's excuse to avoid revealing his studio setup to the biters out there. “When I was younger, I would hear, ‘So-and-so had this piece. If I just had this one piece of equipment, all my shit would be better,’” DM says. “I put off [projects] here and there so that I could save up and get this gear. I spent thousands of dollars on stuff still sitting here, and I don't even know how to use it. It's just retarded. So that's why I try not to go too into depth about the details of my setup. But I can definitely say it's cheap. It's not expensive equipment at all.” However, Danger Mouse will say that a couple of his favorite keyboards of the moment are a Korg MS-2000 and a Roland Saturn 09. “Money Mark [who plays on Dangerdoom] has been getting me more into a lot of stuff keyboardwise,” he says. As for software, DM has used Digidesign Pro Tools and Apple Logic in other people's studios, but he prefers Sony Acid Pro at home. “I used to use old samplers and a lot of old drum machines and samplers, and then I made a switch years back,” DM says. “I basically use that program now in the same way I used those.”
