You know while I can appreciate so many of the drum machines, nothing seems to encourage to want to abandon my mainstay, the classic Sequential Tom. I have 9 cartridges and the ability to do reverse is awesome.
it is still my main drum machine ...I don't like the snare but the rest is good. Especially the Kicks and the hats ...Has 2 x Midi ins and a Midi out. Cv/gats and sync...So it is the prefect partner for my modular. Will never leave my studio.
Can you please show a birds eye view of the knobs when doing this type of video in the future? A bit annoying not being able to read the names of the parameters being changed.
Modern analog, good machine. I cannot find it anywhere in South Korea. The difference between 'tanzbar' and 'tanzbar LITE' is significant. Vermona DRM series are only competitors. any others?
Got it! Thanks for clarifying. Really appreciate the feedback. Finally, how much menu diving is involved? Seems like a really solid product, just not keen on loads of hidden secondary functions :\
They are both great, the Drumbrute is less expensive and has a more powerful sequencer and you can actually get one. The Tanzbars have a more retro sound and sound great, but are pretty rare and hard to get a hold of.
Perfect Circuit Audio thank you for your fast reply! Actually I fell in love with the drumbrute, but you know how bad it is to wake up one morning next to a bride which cannot satisfy you anymore :) but your answer is usefull, I'll give it a try...
It is a difficult machine for me to understand. I have one and only get accidental pattern sounds. It is frustrating, in my opinion the manual is written very poorly.
I always get confused when trying to do knob recording. I've pulled it off, but every time I try again, and read the manual, I get confused. Can you tell me how that's done again?
LondonLilicash Yeah, I've got the manual and it's not that simple. There are more button presses and the translation is terrible. There's a thread on gearslutz that I keep having to google but even on there everyone is confused. I'm hoping somebody has it figured out and can explicitly define the steps, and make it work every time.
Sounds Good. Though I'd argue there would be more of a fun factor if several people all played a individual percussive instrument together. Ok, that's not as practical and so old school. Though the old school method of playing would generate more of a human rhythmical structure and would bring like minded ( as in at least they like percussive sounds) together thus may also make more social music. We are social animals .
+evolution rhythm That would be super fun and thanks for the advice, but 99% of our viewers want to see these types of demos... and that's why they follow us! Thanks for watching. :)
