Building my MFG Crosswinds, quick impression and compared against my old Thrustmaster pedals. Not a paid promotion in any way, bought with my own hard earner OT!
Those 2 pieces in the back are wall stops for those who are close to the baseboard of their wall. If your not close enough to the wall you can build up the space between the controller and the wall with spare wood. Keeps the unit from sliding back.
They are great pedals I love mine. The rear mount for the dampner can be switched over. That way you get the dampener centred and much more uniform feel between deflections. My dampener loosened up a bit after a bit of use as when new it was far too stiff on nearly every setting except minimum. Helicopters without spring is amazing, I add the spring and slacken off dampener for planes as I like the centering. Feels great like this though.
Ah thanks for the info, i realised after the video that the damper should be used without the spring for helos such as the huey and hind in dcs, they felt amazing. For the H145 in msfs its not something I'd worry about (removing the spring) h145 is a very different experience. Really appreciate your input and I'm blown away by the quality. I told my stream i felt like a better helo pilot almost instantly.
Considering these or Thrustmaster TPR for msfs2020. Don't have pedals to compare with. Will use with GA Cessnas and airliners like A320 Neo. Also looking at Slaw Device. Can't decide... It looks a bit odd with the not straight back and forth motion of the pedals. Is that annoying with the arc'ed motion?
I didn't mind the motion tbh, i liked the wider stance over the TM ones. You can adjust the sensitivity up if you don't want to physically move them too far
The Damper is installed wrong The original Maker was Replica Gear. The Black Clamp needs turned over to the other side of the Damper then screwed down so the Damper is less in a A Symmetric Position if done that way you will need less spring tension. Ah that A)Looks better and B) Feels better, thanks for the advice. The original install video I watch was like 7-8yrs old, maybe the ought to update it.
@@cutlass6332 I'm thinking of getting a set of the MFG peddles and do the same as you with the Damper. My Logitech Peddles are not smooth and are driving me crazy with non precision. I was happy to find your Video. It is a good video. Thank You I felt bad for you when I seen the Damper install because I felt He deserves to have it work better and feel better. I was compelled to say something. I hope I did not come across like a know it all forgive me if I did. I would love to see another Review on them after you use them. I love DCS World and want to buy the MFG's for that. Thanks again for your Video.
