Testing an MFJ pocket loop tuner against a dipole with an Elecraft KX2. This test used wire loops.
Note: I replaced the wire loop with a 10ft copper pipe from Home Depot and the results were greatly improved. I will share in another video.

i believe the recommended length of the piece of wire for the Loop for 20 Meters is 13 Feet. I would also try to get it in the clear. For a Loop Just divide 180 by the frequency and that will get you where you want to be

great report! does the 9232 not come with a loop? mine's coming on monday and i'll be severely disappointed if there's no loop in the package. /guy (73 de kg5vt | wqpz784) [later note: oh, it comes with the _wire_ not an actual loop. product photos border on being a misrepresentation and i thought an actual loop came with it. serves me right for buying an mfj product i guess--they can't cut enough corners]

You get wire instead of a pre-made loop so that you can cut lengths for several different bands. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS! What do yo expect for $60 when other loop antennas are in the $300-$500 range? Duh....

Loops need to b free in the air and away from objects. Why would you put the antenna on something? Try to put it up and away from any object and you will get better results. Else you are just wasting your time.
