I booked my Astor Smart MT on Nov7,2021 and enquired at showroom regarding delivery, they told me it will be on end of March. Waiting for that day ❤️. I love this car ❤️
My father owns MG Astor and we have already done 5000km+ on it. I would like to list pros and cons over here:- Pros:- 1. Engine is very good. We went from Gujrat to Bihar by this vehicle. Speed was mostly 120kmph on highway. It never got heated up. 2. Paint quality is also nice. Black color. 3. It is super comfortable car. We didn't got tire at all in 26hours journey. 4. Our model is Sharp(O)/Saavy 1.3L Turbo variant. It is very much refined for a 3 cylinder engine, pick up is very good. 5. Interior and quality of whole car is superb. And build quality feels good and car is spacious too. 6. Mileage was initially bad like 7kmpl. But now after 2nd service, we are getting 12kmpl in city and 15-16kmpl on highway. 7. Headlight throw is impressive. 8. Car have a lot of practical bits like each front door pockets can take upto 2 litres of water bottle. Overall 8-10 litre bottles can be included. 9. At high speed car feels confident and steering is good too. 10. There are 5 USB ports in car. 2 rear and 3 front. 3rd one is behind IRVM. 11. Tyres and brakes are great. Continental Utra Contact 6 makes braking good. Cons 1. Rear seat passenger doesn't have a separate cabin light. So in night it gave rear passenger problem. Car could have got more interior lights. 2. Sunshade of sunroof is thin. So, it heats up car. 3. Mg ismart drive sometimes work and sometimes not like internet tracking doesn't work at all even at places with network. Smart key works all time. 4. If this car would have had hybrid system then I guess it would have been better. 5. Auto Dimming IRVM would have been good too. 6. Boot space if could have been deeper like loading lip was adjustable then you can put big 3 vertically. Otherwise it's okay. I have not tested ADAS that much. But while overtaking close the collision warning system otherwise it will start auto braking. Overall if someone wants car like some what both of the world like little bit spirited driving and features with safety. Take this car's turbo varient. Worth it.
I have booked an Astor Sharp and awaiting delivery by April end or so. I am ever so worried since then regarding the AC performance owing to large sunroof and thin sun shade! You said it heats the car.. but I want to know, is it something that can be fixed by keeping the AC on Lower temp?
@@anupvsaw thin shade may heat up the car but by 2-3 °C maximum. Ac on fan speed of 2 at any temp will do job under 5 mins and cool down whole car. If you want to cool it down quicker adjust fan speed to 3 or 4. After that you can keep it on 1.
One's who think its a chinese car. 1. Its manufactured in india 2. MG is originally a British Co. , now the funding comes from SAIC. No other intervention. 3. Since its made in india and sold in india, india gets more tax than china per car and that to directly when the car is sold. (U should have basic taxation knowledge to understand this, if u don't, then don't argue unnecessarily. 4. Even if its current parent co. is SAIC, its a 5 star rated car and the adas makes it one of the most safest car in india, apart from being the most luxurious car in this segment.
Well said. Its a good product that's made in India, providing employment to lakhs of Indians. Giving tax to the government. I don't see any reason to oppose this product. Its as much Chinese as Jaguar and Land Rover are Indian.
Every point is true but for me, the main issue is SIAC is state owned co. means at the end, the profit is filling Chinese government which is using some part of that money to illegally occupy India from all sides, Assam, Leh, Pakistan and will do from the south as well as now Srilanka will come under their control. If SIAC would have been a private co. I would also promote MG cars which I do now also but reluctantly.
@@finderskeepers7293 bhai, not only medicines, but high quality plastics/polymers too. Almost every good quality plastic manufacturing machines comes from china. So, attacking one car is utterly non sense. Also, most of these people can't even afford Astor, they are just spreading negativity.
feature wise its the best choice. I felt it was bit under powered when i drove 1.5l compared to mid segment SUVs which could have improved a lot and it would have great if MG provide 6 gear option... and the most unfortunate thing is the non availability of base model which is the value for money option
Astor is the best in the segment . its in its own league. I do own a Astor Sharp Optional (With ADAS). The interior, Side & back profile . The Cornering fog lamps , the auto wipers , the boot space, steering modes, Smooth body roll, Especially the safety features which come with ADAS(NCAP 5 rating) , the panoramic sunroof , the best thing is the 360 degree camera and Digital key(can go anywhere without carrying a key ) Best thing is Ismart App . Creata, seltos, kushaq doesnt have few features which Astor has and which are usually in Mercedes or BMW . It is a premium car you can buy within 20 lakhs. Some cons are : 1. No auto dimming mirror We can compensate this with a dashcam mirror setup (70 mai mirror dashcam) 2. no ventilated seats These are the only two cons which for me isnt a major deal breaker. The deal breaker is the ADAS , 360 degree camera , adaptive cruise , panoramic sunroof . a car with these features is a futureproof . even after 4-5 years later, this car wont be outdated yet be one of the hi-tech car at the segment even after 4 - 5 years.
Finally a non-sunroof wala variant in a review. MG seems to have ignored lower model deliveries. I booked on the first day (21st Oct) and the app still shows 6-9 months. Customer care also says the same thing and the showroom guys have no idea either. If you have got a non-top model delivered then consider yourself lucky.
Same thing happened with me I booked nissan magnite xe (base model) at Dec 8th 2020 ( 3days from launch) . Got delivered it in July 2021. This things happen when you book a base model. Sad bro. But that's the reality 😕
MG is doing 100% partiality to its base variant customers ..even these shameless dealers also saying same thing if you book top variant you’ll get the car within 2-3 months but for base variant like style n super it will take 6-9 months.. really shame on MG n to its dealer too. Seems every year they r gonna deliver only one or max to max two base variants.
@@jogeshmoharana4203 you are wrong. I booked my mg astor smart manual variant on 21st Oct and got delivery on 23rd Jan '22. I was lucky that I got delivery in Jan'22 because according to my booking id, it was showing probable date of delivery as 1st Quarter of 2022. Love this car. It is so luxurious inside as well as outside. Miles ahead of it's rivals such as Creta, Seltos, kushaq and Taigun.

When i commented on a video about tata not including updates and tech inside their cars,stupid blind fans are commenting like ' you die in an unsafe car watching tv or something'😂😂 Well, interior is so important as others see the exterior ,owner sees interior and obviously outside ,but it should be a nice place to be in...my friend works in MG showroom,he said vehicle is having comparably good safety too....so i like MG
I didn't drive it on steep hills but during my TD i did take it to a very steep and I mean very, very steep gradiant with auto hold enabled and the car did not roll back 1 cm
While the car has AI and modern features and boasts of best in class infotainment , it's unable to fix basic USB feature like folder scan. Even in Hector it has the same issue. Songs stored in multiple folders in USB stick cannot be played based on your choice as there is no folder scan option. All songs gets mixed up and it plays in a system driven random order! It's a basic USB feature available on all mp3 players and entry level cars. It's unfortunate that a hifi car like this is unable to provide basic features while it boasts of AI. Repeated complaints to MG has not helped Car drive etc is good
@@SuyashKaul No its not. It shows you have no idea of what you are talking about. Besides, anyone buying a compact crossover is not planning to take the car and do drag races. That's done by hot hatches. Besides the Astor is a lot more comfortable than the Seltos. The only drawback for some Indians maybe its crossoverish looks.

lol looks like you get triggered too easily.. it could also mean that he is the primary driver in his house and his wife doesn't drive any car and can have this car as backup in case the primary car is not available.. there might not be any gender angle to it
If you take service pack for 3 yrs, then cost per service comes to about Rs5500. Milage in city is between 13-15 kmpl for 1.5 litre (post 3rd service) and about 11-13 kmpl for the turbo. Highway milage will be higher. Safety: 5 stars in ASEAN NCAP. The ZS EV scored 4 stars in an earlier Euro NCAP test.
Owner Review is not upto mark, he can't able to present technical points ( as according to me owner have done rehearsal, trying to speak in English, but has many grammatical mistakes 😅) I think owner will also feel same driving experience in Top model of Alto And also it's seems new driver or no driving experience ( low exp) , nothing new as it should be in ownership review. If they are making it in India, giving employment to lakhs of people and encouraging ancillary industry in this country, I don't see what your objection is. Then don't forget all the people who are being employed at the dealer level. If you can employ that many people then you deserve to complaint.
