Slightly incomplete information as that 60% buyback value is not free it comes at a price of around 35000. And also important it is only valid till car runs 45000 kms or less . More running of car will reduce its value from 60%

It uses the same transmission unit as on Compass and Harrier which eventually is a complete disaster. 15000 ods pe clutch chala jata hai aur Jeep ke engineers ka kehna hai ki car ko 2nd gear pe mat chalao. Aisa kabhi possible hai? When I spoke to the MG sales guy and I mentioned about the clutch issue, he literally had no explanation to how MG will deal with this situation.

Just to correct you. Regarding buy back after 3years and 60% cost payback This is only applicable if u inform during buying this vehicle. It's a plan, under this plan the vehicle will be under scrutiny by the company for all the 3 years, If we don't buy the plan, this buyback is not applicable. It's just like the leased cars.

Remains the same as in Compass and Harrier with the legacy of pertaining issues clobbered with it. Hope for the best for Hector as claimed by their sales executive that its slightly tweaked to bypass that issue.

The MG Hector is sold as new Chevrolet Captiva in other markets, its only the branding that has been changed in India. Beware Captiva was a complete disaster in Indian market because of the unreliability and poor after sales service.
