AOA sir one thing you have missed that the build quality of cover of paranomic sunroof is not good as compare to sportage it's paranomic sunroof cover looks like a piece of cloth
Parking brake does release and applied automatically when your seat belt is fasten. All you need is to fasten seat belt put it into drive or reverse, press accelerator, it will release automatically. Same when you finish your journey, turn off the car or unbuckle your seat belt, car will apply parking brake automatically
@@BBOverDrive I told you my experience as I own one! But of old cluster. So maybe there is software issue in new MG HS ( new cluster) cz they are programming cars before delivery.
Excellent review. I was confused between purchasing sportage AWD, Tuscon AWD and MG HS about a year ago. But I chose sportage because of all the reasons you guys have mentioned above. In my humble opinion, Tucson and Sportage are basically the same car except for a few cosmetic difference in features. I eliminated Tucson because of the lengthy booking time and I personally found Nishat group to be exploratory in the way they increased their car price within a few days of opening booking. Also Tuscon has a beautiful front exterior but the interior is sub par and un refined plastic compared to its competition. MG HS was also eliminated as a choice because they have a very poor 3S network. Also it becomes too expensive to drive due to high octane requirement. The suspension is actually very stiff. I was upgrading from a vezzel which also has a very stiff suspension. One more thing that I didn’t like about MG HS was that you can’t control air conditioning setting with physical buttons but have to use the infortainment system which I found to be laggy at best. It was a very difficult mental transition for me to go from a Japanese (Honda) brand to a Korean (Kia) brand. I didn’t have the assurance to jump to a Chinese (MG) brand. All in all, im very happy with my purchase decision and your detailed MG HS review has further confirmed to me that i made the right decision and the things i was feeling about this car were actually true and not just in my head. Dear Waqas, Don’t you think Kumho tyres are little hard. How much you keep PSI in tyres. ? Only thing for which I avoided to get MG is it’s hard suspension. I heard it several times But did not experience personally.

I totally agree with your opinion. I am currently in China and MG is solely SAIC product and it is 100% made in China The UK flag is a deceptive marketing as Asians and also Chinese people like the west a lot. However when I see here in China the locally assembled cars are no less than any competitors in the world specially when it comes to production of EVs. MG HS or for that matter any turbocharged veh will have its toll on running cost in short term and replacement cost in long term because mostly turbocharged vehicles need turbo replacement after 100k miles
To be honest China is a hub of production of all types of products. Incoming days it will be more successful bcz of coming sedan and small cars of low budget.
Good review,I'm mg hs user,dct is high performance transmission,so it gives a good sporty feel ,but even then it's quite better than Sportage ,Tucson,it's also wider & longer than both of them,3 rdly ,I use she'll v power ,it's price difference is only 9/- per litre ,and no knocking issue.
Some questions, with some observations. 1. There should’ve been more info on its transmission. 2. Dos and Don'ts of this particular DCT? 3. Why was it heating up? What were its customers doing differently that due to normal usage it was heating up or were they using it differently (driving like an A/T, CVT?) that was making it heat up? What were those reasons and why potential customers should avoid repeating those same mistakes. 4. Stop/go and incline/decline traffic conditions usage? How different is its usage from other transmissions in these conditions? Why? - (would’ve made it more technical but still would’ve been appreciated by a niche segment of the viewership) 5. Petrol usage? Mix or pure HO? Yes or no? Why? Any experiments done by anyone in their circle in this regard? Their views? Or views from previous usage of turbo vehicles ownership. 6. Rear visibility is as, if not more important as the front but agree with the placement of the rear view mirror. What was the location of the POV camera on your face? Forehead or on eyes? 7. The views on the stiff suspension was a surprise. 8. Seems like the pockets on the back of the seats are for keeping documents and the door cavities for oddly shaped objects. 9. Turning radius maneuver was funny. Should’ve done it in a parking lot or around some obstacles or maybe reversing in and out of a tight spot. Such a maneuver would’ve given a much better idea of its capabilities compared to its other two competitors, provided there was such a test done for them also. 10. Overall the review was not very conclusive. Surprising for a six million rupee investment! Either the reviewers were weak in their assessment or manufacturer is facing an ‘I.D.10.T’ error. 11. To make the review more relevant (understandable/relatable) to the Pakistani market it should’ve been compared with Civic, Altis, Sportage and Tucson. 12. Earned my 👍 on the decibel checking feature. 13. That FWD price comparison was 👌 14. Why did his watch keeping changing its face? Good work!

To answer some of your questions; - POV camera is head mounted, the location is forehead to be exact. - Turning radius is there to inform our viewers if there's a huge difference than an average car of its category. We haven't conducted any precise tests for any of the cars. - We both shared our opinion and tried to educate everyone based on our knowledge. We encourage car users to share their experience as well. - We did compare it to the same category of cars that we have reviewed i.e. Tucson & Sportage. Comparing it with Civic & Altis wouldn't be fair.
Absolutely professional and in-depth review. Love ur review. I completely agree with u in all respects. Perhaps the best available option at the moment is a Sportage FWD in the market with vast 3S dealership and spares available. Alone Karachi has 11 3S dealers of Kia.
i am 100 % agreed with you .. i just bought mg hs recently .. its has too stiff suspension even compared to civic plus you can feel the friction of engine piston moving on ur accelerator pedal as if it is out of engine oil .. plus front view is awful .. i decided to go back to buy civic again ..

Actually your review is fair and very well Balanced. Actually the problem is that consumers who have bought MG know that they have made a blunder. Now as a matter of fact they are in a fix and do not know what to do with it especially after waiting for 8 or months for delivery of their vehicles. Second every body knew and knows what issues turbo charged engine have and costly it is to maintain including the DCT technology which most of the people are unaware of. Furthermore it’s a Chinese product just like a Chinese smart which has more features than apple iPhone but has no durability because of its inferior Chinese parts quality. The price of this car is 14,000 dollars in China which is 24 lacs rupees in Pakistan. What people expect that in 14,000 dollars China won’t give you superior parts. Again i would reiterate as I have spoken to many MG users that do not want to listen anything bad about it as they know that they have committed a blunder with an addition that MG dealership network is horrible and it’s further in Pakistani market is uncertain. We can’t compare it with Korean technology which far more superior than Chinese technology as it competes with Toyota and other Japanese auto manufacturers in North America.
A major question from my side, can you compare its brakes with tucson? I drove tucson and its brake paddle required a significant amount of force… is mg the same? Secondly, can you compare mg’s road grip with sportage and tucson?
I have driven all 3 cars. Sportage AWD and Tuscon AWD have better road grip compared to MG Hs. On the other hand, MG Hs is the same compared to FWD sportage and Tuscon. I haven’t done a brake comparison, but im using sportage and its brake are perfectly fine. No issues with it.
Excellant review but you didnt notice that inspite all sepcs amd featutures its windowglasses inclusing windscreen are plain like Mehran and not tinted like corolla or civic, a basic luxery ffeature is missing
I bought glory pro and they are giving car as first priority as bank booked car and premium givers . The only draw back in glory pro is paint issue other wise there is no problem

4 points need input from the video makers 1. At 10:50 presenter says it has 162 HP and he thinks it's class leading. That's not correct X7 figure is 177 HP. 2. While checking AC performance, I suggest presenters to use digital temperature guage/ infrared temperature gun to come up with a number in °C of the chill air being blown from the vents. 3. Discuss the Kerb weight of the vehicle in question. Rate them according to weights. As per my info X70 is heaviest with 1675 kg weight. 4. Use digital paint thickness checkers to evaluate thickness of coating done on the vehicle.
You missed so many things in this review. What about the digital instrument cluster? You didn’t even touch the driving assist features. How is the ground clearance? Can 5 people fit in the car?
Thanks for your suggestion. We’ll add our opinion of cabin insulation in the upcoming reviews. We test a car for a few minutes (3-5 minutes) and then share a glimpse of the decibel meter in the final review. Otherwise, the segment would get a lot longer.
I have always had similar views about MG brand. A Chinese car being marketed as British does not seem a good start tbh. Secondly, if it is such a great brand why don’t we see it ranked among top 10 or even too 15 brands of the world. Looks shady

I bought top of the line Daihatsu Rocky/Toyota Raize. Sportage, MG, Tucson were in the list. It costs 4 to 4.5m Self import 5 grade vehicle and it is worth every penny if sunroof is not required. It got all features infact more than MG HS, to say a few it even auto parks in reverse along with adaptive matrix headlights, the cornering lights, adaptive cruise with Apple car play, 360 camera with front back sensors, blind spot, lane assist. You name it. Above all, it gives 17km/l in city.
Its 'G' as per my understanding. The premium comes with black roof, leather stitch steering. Furthermore, dealer options are available in JDMs e.g. mine got auto reverse parking.

The instrument cluster has been upgraded to a fully digital one, are the graphics easy to see during the day time? The MG-HS being sold in Australia & England has a different transmission altogether, but who to blame, cos in Pakistan it has become a standard business practice to cut corners. On paper it seems too good to be true, however cosmetically and asthetically it gets full marks.
Shaheel after your review I am bit confused which option to opt in Kia vs Tucson vs MG. Kia I don't prefer because it's size is smaller than other both. Pls guide as far as durability reliability is concerned.

MG is a good chinese Car. I uses good quality parts, Engine and others are from General Motors. Turbo from Mitsubishi same as Civic Turbo and Electrical Parts from Bosch GmBH
To some extent your analysis is right.. but at the same time the features they are offering like blind spot monitor, 360 camera and others are not present in the competitive cars.
A car should have solid foundations on top of which features should be added. MG Hs has a laggy turbo engine, questionable transmission and a stiff suspension. No amount of features can paint over these issues for me personally.
Excellent review Have booked one, made me shaky. Don’t you think after all it is good value of money ! Other three doors can be opened by lifting the door opening lever twice 2. After sales service and parts are real concerns, however I believe, being state owned company and its presence in UK, Australia and Middle East markets will keep company on its toes
Pretty Bias review. Comparing with Sportage FWD price is unfair. Sportage hardly have any feature, complete in plastic, underpowered with just 2000cc engine, interior old fashion and now going to be old model by early 2020. DCT Lag is well known in the world. But if you compare with other transmissions, it has more advantages. The suspension is not that hard, as they try to project. I have been using latest models civic, I tend to go to sleep earlier in this car, due to more up/down swings. However you do experience some jurks on rough roads/sharp road jumps, but than this is closer to jeeps not saloons.
We have shared our opinion after carefully reviewing HS, Tucson and Sportage. This review is based on our observations. Your observation may defer. We have already mentioned that it has a lot of features that are not present in any locally manufactured car. DCT + Turbo lag is quite prominent in HS and our viewers should be aware of it. We’ve compared its suspension with Sportage and Tucson and they both have softer suspension. However, the handling of MG HS is better than both it’s Korean rivals. Comparing it to Civic is unfair.
@@BBOverDrive you have been very unfair by putting camera on you head and suggesting the front view as restricted. Civic was taken as reference, as I have been using it. This SUV gives you a feeling of a robust , comfortable and a excellent drive.
We put the camera on the forehead in every review. You can check our reviews of all other cars for reference. If you’re satisfied with it then that’s great. However, as a reviewer we need to show the complete picture to our viewers in light of its competitors.
@@BBOverDrive because I have been driving different vehicles including Army for the last over 40 years. So the view I get in this SUV is just excellent. Therefore, I felt your concern on front view is not justified.
Buy Shell V power its absolute 95 Ron and only 10 rs expensive than the Standard petrol..the high octane at Total and PSO is 97 Ron and is around 150 rs whereas Vpower is 95 Ron(recommended for HS) at 129 Rs Also MG has proved itself for me in rain flooded roads of Lahore just yesterday and I was impressed by it whereas I saw other cars struggling so every bit of road clearance in this car mattered ..yesterday was when I was truly happy to have purchased the HS
How can we check the current filling the fuel I think Pakistan don’t have any one car for auto fuel sensor to check current fueling in my car tank after & before in digital. For example i have 10 liter petrol already in my car fuel tank and I want to take fill 10 liter more from any petrol pump so can you told me in Pakistan any car have auto fuel monitoring sensor device for check current fueling check on the digital meter If we take demand to vehicles manufacturers then every petrol pump person will fill the correct and whole petrol in our cars
They have over engineered this car as BMW and Merc using same technology but still they face many complication with state of the art parts so in my opinion only time will tell it’s durability and supply of parts…. Very honest review keep it up 👍
I had Sporttage FWD & then i got MG HS few months back. Its really really very unfair to compare MG HS with Sportage FWD. Sportage FWD literally comes with nothing. Its just a box with no features at all. No leather seats, no electric seats, No parking sensors, all hard plastic dash board with not even single piece of leather in it, only two air bags, no adaptive cruise control, no paddle shifters, no auto trunk closing, no blind spot detection, no 360 degree camera, no ambient lighting, no lane assit, no lane departure, no anti collision alert, no radar, no auto locking, no trunk opening from key or inside, no information in meter like tyre pressure & temperature monitering & list goes on & on & on. By the way same is with hyundi Tuscon. Then how can u compare 5.7Mn of MG HS with 4.7 Mn of Sportage FWD. In my humble opinion both Sportage FWD & Tuscon FWD are of no competition to MG HS even AWD versions of both vehicles comes with far less features as compared to MG HS. Please compare oranges with oranges & dont confuse people with ur one sided opinion. By the way there is a very planned compaign being launched against only one brand i.e MG. I hope you people are not part of this
I agree with you regarding features. But MG Hs actually has a very stiff suspension compared to Sportage and Tuscon AWDs. Also the turbo response is a little laggy. And the mileage is less compared to the competition inspite of it running on high octane. Also internationally, this car is reported to have transmission issues. All the features and beautiful interior of MG cannot paint over the fact that a car should have strong fundamental pillars before these fancy features. That is why i chose sportage AWD. But yes, you are right, the features in MG HS are a world apart compared to its competitors in Pakistan.
Absolutely right ! I think it's the first time in Pakistan that we are having such a car with loads of features which was never here even though Kia Sportage was launched long back than MG HS, and totally agreed it's a big empty BOX and nothing different to Grande/civic and in this review they didn't even appreciate it all these features which you have mentioned above , it's a great car in this price and thanks to the Chinese manufacturers atleast they are providing all the luxury in amazing prices. If you compare all the features with any German or even Japanese cars simply you just can't have it in this price, best example is Corolla cross starting from 8 million. What should i say about Pakistani mentality if some company brings some good fortune for them we tend to speak shit about them without even experiencing it. I would like to congratulate all the true MG HS owners I'm sure they are having a great time with their rides.

You guys literally nailed it. What an honest and true review. I believe people generally attracts towards the cosmetics rather the functionality and durability. And this is the case with MG. In my view, Sportage has come out to be the best SUV amongst all.
17:00 Fuel average is too poor. 9-10 km per liter on long and my friend has MG and it is giving less in cities. Moreover You cannot find High Octane in smaller cities. How can you run a car on High Octane all the time that is already Rs 150 per Liter?. This car will be expensive in terms of fuel costs and there is no doubt about it.
