An overpriced EV for many reasons: 1. Anyone buying EV for these specs will be solely for fuel savings where this car is overpriced for these specs. 2. Priced as international MSRP; which doesn't justify because it's locally assembled CKD. People here have different purchasing power and price parity. Optimum range would be 7-8 millions for C-Segemnt crossover. 3. EV infrastructure is primitive in Pak, how could one charge these cars for straight 8-10 hrs with medium power charger outside of major cities, with no charger on GT road and majority of motorways ( only 2 on M2) and no power supply in Rural areas. 4. EV adaptation should start from lower end transporters like 2-3 wheelers 1st to curtail major portion of community. 5. MG has a bad sale and aftersale reputation with parts and maintenence. 6. EVs are still portrayed as luxury or sports segment cars in Pak, which won't lead to any lucrative makret share because majority of population can't afford 'em.
I agree with all points, but at the moment, the other c segment crossover are stonic (6.2 million) and peugot 2008 (7.8 million) considering their price, you cant expect an ev to be in range of 7-8 million
1) This is imported CBU so price shouldn't be compared with CKD. Please share which other cars in CKD are available at or below international MSRP? 2) With a range of 300-400km, it covers 80pc or more of the use cases. Yes it will be impossible traveling to northern areas or villages today but a couple of EV chargers can solve that problem. 3) Agreed this is out of budget for majority of our population but kudos to MG for taking the initiative
@@SeriouslyTechy Stonic and Peugeot 2008 don't justify their prices either and well for EVs and Hybrids govt are giving incentives and tax amnesty for assembly and localisation. My main point is that EVs should be made accessible and feasible to buy here in Pak.
Correct and suddenly an EV has dropped from 3.5 Crores to 1.1Crores in Pakistan, this will appeal to rather large number of people in the "Starting Crore" segment

Bro you can't say a car is great by just looks neither can reject or signify it's shortcoming like power tail gate. It's an outta budget EV which should have been priced reasonably to serve it's purpose.
The most important aspect of mg4 is missed in this review. It is rear wheel drive. I have driven this car and it's more fun to drive than other EVs from Kia, Toyota etc.

1.1 crore PNR (31 lakh INR) and it is MG here we get Nexon.EV top end for 20 lakh INR(base variant at 15lakh INR) which is better in design, built quality, safety and features compare to this MG. Also TATA has better brand value than MG as they make there cars like a tank and it is not Chinese.
