I feel for Macy. She wasn’t THAT bad. I think people are making a big deal outta nothing about her rendition. I seen the Instagram post she did before singing it saying how super nervous she was. We’ve seen a hell of a lot worse.
I agree. Plus the way I see it is if you're asking Macy to sing it, you pretty much know what you're gonna get. She has a VERY distinct style of singing so it didn't surprise me one bit and all in all i didn't think it was that bad. Plus personally, it's the national anthem. I don't think in my 40 years I've ever heard ANYBODY do a rendition of it where i was like "Yes! Now THIS is what i call music!"😂
That’s Myles Garret defensive end for the Cleveland Browns he’s in the face of. Myle’s could snap his ass like a twig. Kelly needs to go sit down some where.
@@Cin3mattic I’am calm I really don’t give a shit about Kelly. I was just saying that he made the mistake of calling Myle’s a NBA player. And that IF it was a serious confrontation, that he could break Kelly like a twig.
Honestly, MGK is very, very disrespectful. He LITERALLY had the nerve to call Slipknot a group of weird 50 year old guys in masks. If you don't respect the people who built the genre up, you don't belong in it. I would give anything to be a rocker because I respect those guys who give everything on the stage and put in the hours. I wish I could be recognized by those guys. No, they're not my role models, but they're undisputable and unstoppable when it comes to metal. They are some of the craziest, funniest, most successful bands in the genre. And this dude .... I cannot even. Edit: I'm not saying Slipknot is not a ... weird group of guys for lack of a better word. They definitely are their own form of weird, but they are an awesome group of guys. Corey Taylor is a hilarious, energetic guy who always tries to make everyone laugh or smile. And he does it because he's been through some struggles. Like, suicidal struggles. To me, that makes him a great person because he tries to make other ppls lives better. I don't care if you agree with me or not. I'm just putting my thoughts out there. 🤷🏼♀️
I would never, ever, no matter what, disrespect a legendary band like Slipknot for any reason whatsoever even if I actually hated them. The amount of influence they have, alone, would backfire in my face at the slightest disrespecting action, it's simply not worth it. You just need to respect your elders.
Slipknot didn't invent weak ass bubblegum punk, MGK sounds like an even weaker version of Green Day and Blink 182. I'm not a thirteen year old girl, so that kinda music isn't for me.
@@Fister_of_Muppets you said that perfectly! I still can't believe MGK's shitty attitude & comments toward Slipknot!! Especially when you realize that the ONLY reason he has beef with them (well, with Corey) is the fact that he went all fanboy thinking Corey was going to feature on a song but then backed out because MGK wouldn't allow him to write the lyrics to his part. MGK is a 30 something year old "man" who is acting like a spoiled little boy that didn't get what he wanted!!! I'm embarrassed FOR him!!!
@@mattk8810 facts also mgk was a part of the super bowl music festival and being there at the nba all star game excuse the hell out of him for being a fan of basketball he literally has a Cleveland cavaliers championship ring but I digress
Knew him when he lived in a 1 bedroom apartment adjacent to Shaker Square ridin in a cream bug drop top rooming with his best friend who is still with him till this day. He told me his dreams on the roof top before he had to leave his place. All the shit came true. Let me tell ya, he don't give a FUCK what ppl think. He was drawing in his hairline with a eyeliner pencil. Look at him now. We stayed friends for years even after I moved to Atlanta. We didn't stay friends probably cuz of my twin but I'm PRADA him. He got other 💩 he worried about like those weird Hollyweird parties sacrafices and sick shit he can't stay away from that he's witnessed in that dark industry. Changed his spirit. But he's still talented AF!
Ehh i see your point , but mgk is not this punk guy the world sees him as ive been listening to mgk for over 10 years , mgk is straight up gangster and ive seen him have fear and just fuck up people , remember size matters a lil but experience is what wins fights. Ive seen mgk headbutt a mofo and the guy got knocked out
He wasn’t fake, mgk actually grew up on hardcore punk rock and pop punk before it became a trend and than he was a hip hop head too. But along the way he just started to follow the trends because his words “ there’s nothing more punk than being a poser who steps outside the box “ Mgk new album will be titled mainstream sell out He is trying to make a statement that “ real “ punkers are nothing more than judgement misanthropes who are too afraid to step out of their bubbles Same with metal head elitist See every one wants to be in their own little club. That’s how the scene has always been It specially has been extra critical of emo people back then And on those punkers and metal heads who like other genres like rap or pop punk Mgk isn’t fake, because he doesn’t hide who he is I think fakes are the ones who judge others but when they are alone They wish they could be as courages as mgk
@@metalfan6962 at least he's better than most punk bands nowadays that act all hard and act like they have actual cred when they don't lmfao. Punk and metal fans in general are some pretentious ass pricks
so the "basket ball player" he got in the face of is actually miles Garrett defensive end for the browns mgk and the browns have a pretty good relationship, along with members of the team so that wasn't anything serious he's havin a good time with a friend. don't get me wrong he's said done alotta dumb shit but damn you breath wrong and there's a story made nowadays
I mean you can tell MGK a bit nervous on stage there he loves cleveland, he loves basketball :P maybe overthinked what he was gonna say going freestyle
he is releasing a rap album and has released like 10 rap tracks up until when ur comment was made... ur prolly notr a fan so u dont know everything about what ur talking about but if u see his fans (like me) say that he hasnt maybe we're not just imagining shit... we r humans too and have logic so give some thought to everyone's opinions
He did absolutely nothing offensive or mean spirited at his appearance here, idk why people are freaking out. Oh yeah, because it's MGK and people will take any opportunity to trash talk him even when he's not doing jack shit
@@xfacterman1047 Other people instigate the feuds. Just like the whole beef with cory taylor. Cory started it, and everyone applauded him. Yet when mgk understandably said something back, everyone lost their shit and made it a bigger deal than it was.
@@mattpunk931 so you're just gonna ignore why Cory Taylor said that in the first place? Mgk started this when he was talking shit about veteran bands for wearing practical shoes instead of designer boots during shows because it doesn't fit the "state of rock n roll". He had dropped one punk album by the time which was a commercial success. Apparently, it was so successful, he feels he can talk about what rock should be. Look, he can say what he wants but I don't understand why he or you wouldn't expect any backlash after trying to talk down on bands that have been doing this for decades. Success doesn't guarantee respect. Just ask nickelback. But hey, that's been mgk's thing for years: throwing stones first, then hiding his hand.
He’s a massive Cleveland supporter though, so I’m sure he has probably had quite a few more interactions with Myles Garrett than anyone really realizes. I think he’s just having fun for the most part and enjoying himself to be honest. The slipknot shit was dumb, but it got more eyes on him. The Eminem shit was dumb… but it got damn near every single eye on him 😂… not my ideal marketing approach but hey, it’s working for him 🤷♂️
@@TheMan750 and we all know it’s true yet some idiots still believe it. michael jackson used to do the same and publish fake articles when he was about to tour or drop an album
I'm not a fan of MGK or his music, I will give him credit for standing up to Em, even though it sank his Rap career & now the feud with Corey taylor. I'm concerned for MGK, because he's running out genres 🤣😂 IMAO. Can't wait to hear his country debut
@@MakotoKinoSailorJupiter2020 He said he didn't know she was underage and deleted the tweet when Rosenberg told him to. The beef started when Rosenberg & or Eminem demanded a public apology after he deleted the tweet. Mgk said he tried to contact Em to talk it out but Em never responded and then Mgk was banned from shade 45 for not going thu with it.
He got kicked out of the rap game and now pestering a different genre, he’s just disrespectful to those who built and paved the road to music like slipknot
I went to the NFL Hall of Fame game probably 20 years ago and Macy Gray completely butchered the lyrics to the National Anthem. I was about 10 years old but I'll never forget it. The cringe in the air was tangible lol
I don’t really like MGK. But I do respect his attitude in that clip. I'm of the mindset that you can make fun of something you like or somewhere you live to a point. There's nothing wrong with someone poking fun at his hometown, his lack of sport skills or his sense of fashion. I do that sometimes too. I'm from Virginia, I think it's kinda boring here; but I still love it. See, you can do that. You can make fun of something you love and still love that thing.
I'm with you there. If I couldn't joke about my teams... well I was raised in Chicago and lived in NOLA so it'd be pretty depressing. Not a fan of MGK personally, but seriously, some people here need to cool their shit. And gotta love the people talking about "I'd kick his ass", you'd be lucky to get tackled by security before you assault someone over some shit like this.
When tickets toy downfall came out and was making such high numbers I was just proud pop punk was getting Maintstream attention again after 20 years. But literally any time the guy opens his mouth it makes me hate that the revival came from him
If i was MGK right now…id step away from everything and focus on me and fade out of the spotlight for a year or so and make rap music. I think he is well capable of coming out with a great record if he took some time off and out of the spotlight for a few. Just my opinion. I think he is very talented but id let the heat die down and stick to my roots…which is rap not “rock n punk” music.
Mgk is a talented dude but his speech was painful to watch and some of his pop punk sucks like that Emo Girl track. Despite all the hate he gets you gotta respect his hustle and that it paid off. He still gets good streams & sales on his albums and his very presence triggers Em stans hard. Mgk seriously needs to go back to rap though, avoid being in the mainstream media like he was before and get some solid features I loved Hotel Diablo.
@@smkxodnwbwkdns8369 The Em Stan cringe & Mgk hate band wagon ignorance in this comment is beyond a heavy L. I could write a long as comment shutting that argument down but a simple Google search should be enough for you on his discography, sales, hits & certifications.🤦🏾♂️😆
@@wiseguy240Winston I’m not an Eminem fan either though I respect his talent. MGK isn’t talented. And I say that as a musician who can respect music I even personally dislike if it’s of quality.
@@wiseguy240Winston I’ve heard high schoolers rap better than what I heard on “rap devil”. It was pathetic. And his main claim to fame seems to be that he’s “young” which is a pathetic trait to hang your hat on when soon you’ll be old which he will be in a few years
I think people should really ease up about MGK...what he said about Corey Taylor and Slipknot in general was effed up. I'm a die hard Slipknot fan..a "Maggot" if you will. It's just annoying at this point knick picking at this guy now.
That "basketball player" is the incomparable Myles Garrett defensive end for the Cleveland Browns. Maybe do some research before you skete all over RU-vid.
My kids and my nieces and nephews love MGK and so do I !!! I-Love his songs! BTW, my nephews and nieces are 22, 26, 28, 31 and 32. My children are 12, 13 and 16. My husband and I are 50 and 53. He has a very diverse age group at his concerts. We are going again to another concert in the near future!
Awkward appearance? Am I the only person who realizes this isn't the first game he played in? Dude is over 6 feet with a bankroll to match. He belong in the celebrity game. Smh.
MGK is from Cleveland, probably the biggest rapper from there. The player he was talking to is Myles Garrett, star defensive end of the Cleveland Browns. I’m pretty sure they know eachother
I think a lot of his negative feedback is jealousy honestly and upset Eminem fans lol. However I will say if I was him , I would no go out in public in some of those crazy clothes but that's just me.
Nope, Eminem won the battle upset about what? i don’t appreciate how he rode Em’s d*** for clout but hey it worked this dude is real life clownery. I don’t know how it’s supposed to get worse at this point.
I don't understand how that guy still gets a podium... If anyone should be cancelled it's MGK... He's not charismatic and disrespectful.. don't see how he still have fans or ppl who actually like him
I can't stand MGK just as much as the next person but don't lie you post these videos about him because you know it's going to get attention lol. Gotta get them views haha
Be Me - *looking at MGK* Me: If Reaching was a person. My dog: That was funny dad. Me: Why are you talking?! My dog: Shit.. Meow. Me: Thats better. Now as i was saying DETROIT BABY WHAT!
Im surprised he didn't start dissing Michael Jordan during the All Star Game, the same way he dissed Slipknot when he's just a newcommer to the punk scene.
