At least they put it at the end here lol but yeah...for over ten years now I've said that Kids is their weakest song. MGMT is so magical that to this day Kids is their worst yet the best song for them pocket-wise. TBH, I feel good for them. At least all their albums have been top notch.
woah, chill out! we all are entitled to opinions, no need to demean others. I am not high, I just personally love tame live and recorded, kevin and his band do a great job.
I met james the guitar player in vancouver last week, he tried to catch my pizza that my girl knocked outta my hand also met andrew and got a mgmt shirt signed and my picture taken with him @ the commodore!!!! what a night!!!
HAHAHA I love the Kids performance, it's just too funny, I love how pretty much the entire band leaves and then Andrew hides. Even Ben comes up to sing. Too funny.
I love the part at the end where the two guys on stage sang karaoke to MGMTs Kids then some randome guy came out on stage and did a guitar solo over the entire thing. Absolutely Brilliant!
It would be cool to see MGMT collaborate with Foster the People... They should make a studio their 4th studio album with them. Overall 2 great bands with great vibes!!!
I don't think its all their fault. The sound guys should have turned Andrews mic up and turned the drummer's mic down. Actually all of the sound levels are off.
Alguien sabe porque Andrew Vanwyngarden se tapa con su manto cuando canta kids? lo he visto en otros conciertos y hace lo mismo!! que significa? alguien que sea real fan de MGMT que me explique?
Congratulations was good, no doubt. But...to my ears, Oracular Spectacular was damn near revolutionary. Very experimental songwriting that was equally catchy pop music. They rode the line between the two perfectly. Congratulations was good...but a bit too cerebral for me. It's a great album to smoke a joint to...but Oracular was just plain...spectacular. Pun intended I guess. :P It was like a young modern Flaming Lips. Such great tones and textures on that album...
i think the only bad part of them live is the vocals.but i have a feeling they get high or something before shows, and theyre only half with it anyways.
In my opinion, these guys gave us 20 minutes of uninterrupted "high calibre" classic rock n roll, they can afford to destroy the end of their set with "kids" the way they did.
they seem so fucking tired; of playing and touring so much. they dont really like playing the big 3 too much (t2p, ef, kids) so it seems really relentless.
Solos were pretty ridiculous in kids :/ just waaaaaaay over the top, and voices kinda weird. I kind of feel I can't blame Ben and Andrew for the bad stuff in Electric Feel/Kids, the rest was pretty good though imo.
Eh idk if I'd call them a real psych rock band... and yeah after watching this I'm not sure if I'll be going to their show at the end of this month the vocals aren't good live its Not the mics either... some bands just aren't good live
