For everyone who is upset about "the wasted opportunity for an interview about the album" - firstly, the interview is fun and very MGMT. Secondly, the host Tom Scharpling conducted a one-hour Q&A with the guys during the live stream presentation of the album - that's where all the questions about favorite synths, song order, and Elden Ring were discussed

MGMT should just switch up the game next time by announcing a massive world tour and the day after the tour concludes drop a new album (not advertising or playing a single track at any point on the tour). Then proceed to not tour again for years. Wash-rinse-repeat.

Something like Damon Albarn did with Gorillaz 4th album "The Fall", he recorded and edited it all on his iPad while they were touring for their 3rd album "Plastic Beach" on October 2010 and released it on December 20th the same year. I've waiting years for a collab between Gorillaz and MGMT.

I was so excited to watch this, when I saw the post on IG, but what even is this? This was so cringy to watch. And the “game, yeah meh and nah,” just stop. What a waste of my time. Poor Ben hardly even wants to talk. I wanted to hear about the album. Not the host talk most of the video. 😤😭😢
