True Masters and Morons well damn quit frankly anything really they both have such deep complex engrossing stories, lore and mythologies. For AC I would say start with the First civilization (Isu) but then do more for that series cause there is tons to do stuff on. For RE do any of the lesser known viruses such as the ones in the other media like books comics or the side entry games not the main numbered ones

Yes and no. He was at worst a Well-Intentioned Extremist type of villain. But after being crippled by Skull Face's attack he tried to make amends with his erstwhile ally and friend Big Boss. He also masterminded the Les Enfants Terribles project which would spawn the creation of Solid Snake, who would later correct most of the mistakes both Zero and Big Boss had done. It's also worth noting that the Patriot AI's that he had created to control the world deviated A LOT from their original intent, plunging the world into chaos and endless war to fuel the war economy. So he both helped in sending the world to hell and helped in procreating the world's savior. Although in a very roundabout way.

If Big Boss is meant to be the Darth Vader of the METAL GEAR franchise, Zero is the Emperor Palpatine.
