So much respect that you spend so much time learning every nook and cranny of the game... only to use said skills to make the game as meme as possible.
Here's something that I never thought about and now it bothers me: Raiden (and Snake) keep everything they acquire in their back pocket, from the bomb sensors that become useless after Fatman to multiple missile launchers with loads of ammo. WHY DID RAIDEN THREW AWAY HIS MASK WITH THE BREATHER THAT ALLOWED HIM TO INFILTRATE BIG SHELL? Like, did it never occur to him that it might come in handy in the middle of the ocean? The swimming parts would be so easier, and Emma could use it to breathe too, given that Raiden can hold his breath way longer. Of all things you could throw away in a mission like this, an infinite oxygen supply would be the last of them.
@dismal I get the joke/explanation, but it's clearly at the elevator climb at the beginning of Raiden's mission, cause he not only does it on camera, but that's the exact point at which if you go back to the water you have the regular 02 gauge.
The Codec conversations between Raiden and Rose are the hardest ones to sit through tbh that and the feature length cutscene before fighting Solidus at the top of Federal Hall
@@texasgent4694the cutscenes and codec calls that follow after the Metal Gear fight until the next gameplay segment that us the Solid us fight take a total of around 45 minutes. It's actually ridiculous
I'm just glad you didn't edit out those intense bassy orchestral hits every time your character goes thru a loading door. Those were an integral part of the game's tone.
It was painful and hilarious watching Vamp get slapped around by Raiden. I remember him being a pain to fight on the harder difficulties, never knew about that strategy.

This was arguably my most favorite game when I was a teenager. I'll never forget the amount of pot I smoked and wasted time I had with this game learning every single easter egg. I fricken loved it! And when the HD version came out, I platinum'd everything. These games are so amazing. I wished more people played them. They don't get the respect they deserve. And MGS4 is still the most advanced button mapped game I've ever played. Online was ahead of its time. No game has come close to the stuff you could do via your character.
I still love the team names for the Metal Gear Rays. We have the Alpha Eagles, Beta Force, the Charlie Hellhounds, DOG PATROL!!!!! And the less important Echo Lions.
The ending fight is the most anime thing ever created. Fighting your evil step dad in the rocket Power armour with the swords on top of the federall hall whole constantly bleeding.
@@jb_lofi Oh yes, there was a fucking gang ring of us; showing each other's memory cards. Back then we couldn't get that many games when we wanted so we had to make do with what we had. We pretty much rotated the games and got pretty damn good at them
