The real protagonist of the Metal Gear series is not Big Boss nor Solid Snake. It is Revolver Ocelot. He's there at the start and he dies at the end, and he plays all sides from all angles in between. He's the true survivor and, to achieve what he has across all of those groups and goals, he is the true master of stealth. He just does it psychologically, not physically.

I get your point on why would the real Big Boss risk his life while being hunted by many to kill him - unarmed, in hospital clothes. You're right. BUT, ask yourself this -- Who would they even put instead of the real Big Boss to safely escape with a fake Big Boss? In that case, the real Big Boss is PERFECT for that mission since his military experience is more than exceptional. He's the only one who could've rescued Venom Snake from that living hell in hospital we had all witnessed.

Kojima said that the game ended as intended. The last "incomplete" mission everyone talks about is just a bonus mission thats a prequel to the 1987 metal gear. So the game itself is completely finished.

Hey I admire your supreme appreciation of the series, I too feel this passion towards Metal Gear. But I sincerely disagree that a minor NPC sharing the same model of an injured, wrapped up patient at a hospital means that the entire ending is a lie or some kind of hallucination. If anything I think the most likely explanation here is that they simply recycled the same model as Ishmael for convenience purposes... the setting being a hospital with many unwell patients. MGSV is great but still a little unpolished in some areas so it doesn't shock me that they'd reuse some models. Regardless I respect this dedication to the series, and it was an enjoyable video nonetheless.

Cloning the Ishmael model at the start is a red herring to create confusion. You can't use that to determine anything, it's unreliable. There are a lot of cloned models in the hospital. Venom being a separate character fills a plot hole in MG and MG2 with how Big Boss could be in two places at once as a terror leader and a Foxhound commander: It wasn't him. It was Ahab. A fake Big Boss. It also serves to fulfill his role in the saga as a villain without having to really follow that path- until Venom is killed and he is put on the defensive. Outer Heaven was just a red herring to cover up Zanzibarland, his real project.

My personal theory is that both the Ishmaels you meet are people who underwent the same process as you but didn't take to it as well as you did. they were expendable at that point. the real big boss was never in the hospital.

Honestly, the only thing I truly care about and know has to be a misdirect is that Venom and Big Boss are not on the same side after all! You look at how much betrayal and deception Venom went through in TPP, losing Quiet and his men along the way, and finally being told he was just a pawn to take on the world while BB takes his time building up Outer Heaven…how WE felt finding out we were playing a whole other character all along…that does not spell out “oh we’re best buds!” Even Miller and Ocelot end up at odds with each supporting their own version of Boss… You look at MG 1 and 2 with how the real BB sent in Solid Snake to actually destroy and kill his enemy, and then Miller steps in to guide Snake in killing the real BB (or try to at least)…hardly something you would do if it was all a ploy! Ultimately, we all know how it ends, but it just makes no sense for everyone to end up on the same side when we all know where their true loyalties lie…

Since many theorize that Kojima wasn't fired but was taking a vacation, it may be possible for the ultimate truth to reveal itself in time. Maybe it will be subliminal or it won't. Although I get the sneaking (pun not intended) suspicion that it already has been revealed and it's been staring us in the face the whole time.

Speaking of MGS 3, back when it came out I played it on my PS2 at my dads house every weekend, and I’d be at my moms during the week. I probably logged over a 1,000 hours on the game, just playing it over and over again. There was one time where I stopped playing during The End Sniper Boss fight, I didn’t play for a week. When I got back to my dads and turned on the game, loaded my save, the game opened with a cutscene I had never seen before. The End catches you sleeping, then captures you and takes you back to Graniny Gorky Lab and puts you in a jail cell. Then you have to travel back to the foot of the mountains to defeat him still. Turns out Kojima still got his way, with a boss fight lasting a week. That’s what made these games so special, even after playing it 100 times you would still find new things that you didn’t notice before.

I would be really sad if the ending was a lie. Besides the cut content I felt very satisfied with the ending. It actually explained how it was possible to kill big boss in MG1 and then him reappearing in MG2 in a very science fiction way (like every MGS, "nanobots") and not just magical.

I think the line between the creators actually having done this is some sort of significance VS it just being poor mistakes in the writing is being blurred here. Your using mgs snake eater and mgs phantom pain whilst ignoring the events of mgs peace walker which took place after mgs snake eater. I feel like your grappling in the dark at something that isn't there. Some hidden truth that doesn't exist. I mean the ending of phantom pain was an abortion. The part 2 in phantom pain has got to be some of the most disappointing gaming I've ever experienced in a mgs series.

For all those that believe that the Second Ishmael shown in this video was "just a recycled character model" - 1) This is one of the finest game development studios in the world, who spent more than 5 years developing the game. 2) The Second Ishmael was meant to shock the player into thinking he was the original Ishmael... But why keep it that way in the "Truth" mission - when everything we were supposed to see should have been factual? If Venom imagined that character into looking like Ishmael in the first Hospital mission, that same model should've looked different in the "Truth" mission (THAT's where they could've used another random patient model instead of Ishmael's 😉), otherwise the "Truth" we played was no truth at all, and was still just an interpretation of how Venom was seeing things from his perspective, not the "Truth" of what truly went down. I Seriously put my 3D scanned Face into MGS: TPP Phantom Pain as a Mod Last week :) One of the craziest games every. Truly, it was crazy to play as myself :) Fits the plot even haha.

The greatest game series i ever experiencend. Of course back then when i was younger most of the brilliant story went over my head but growing up and replaying all of the games several times and diving into the deep lore i realized what a genius kojima is. MGS5 is not trolling the fans...it´s another insane move of the madman delivering his vision. This man pust so many cultural and political topics and set them into various legendary story arcs...it´s just awesome. Thank you mister kojima.

I even collected the zero nukes block with hundreds of mates and than still nothing got changed from konami, yet Koshi seems to run out of resources and nothing is left from the old glory days... just the smell of a being phantom dust

Pause 9.27 and you will see big boss also standing in door way hiding from gun fire just after the one in hallway is shot down and venom turns to run other way. I remember years ago pointing that out thinking it was proof of it being real and Ishmael not being illusion but big boss is shot in hallway then when venom turns you see him staring at you in door way lol weird feels like lazy add ins but could be bigger meaning.

Pretty obvious now, but the most likely reason for us seeing 2 Ishmael's is that Ahab is hallucinating due to the shrapnel lodged in his skull. Earlier in the same mission, the color of the fire becomes altered while going down the stairs. Ocelot later says in a cassette tape that he may end up having hallucinations. And all scenes with Paz were also hallucinations combined with false memories.

Or we could just consider that A) it was just a person similar to shock the player when he gets gunned down, and to make a person look similar why create and entirely different model with just one or two subtle changes when you can remake it, or B) To emphasize that venom isnt seeing things right due to the shrapnel in his head and is seeing "phantoms"

It always felt off in some way. I mean, even in Ground Zeroes, it always felt like a memory (and not really a very accurate one) of the events. After betting MGS2, and if you play MgsV, we have the feeling of GZ being an induced memory to Venom. Now, my Question is, was Solid Snake trained by both of them? Venom and BB? Because in MG1 Venom seems to know pretty well Solid Snake. And even more, Big Boss used Venom in the same way The Boss got used, and that was when BB truly become the evil he himself fought many times in the past. Another Question, do you think Solid Snake knew the truth about Venom in any shape or form? I mean, in MGS4 when talking about BB Solid Said "the less people know about the truth, the more they can fantasize".

I have always felt this game...no this hole series of games, has the deepest mind altering truths. This story should never end. This game playing it on the PS3 first then replaying it on the PS4, I've seen these same facts you are showing and I can only ask my self the questions because we don't know this most wonderful person Hido Kojima and his attention to the details and the story's true depth... This game should never end, only I hope he can finish the story??? KONAMI is a parasite on metal gears ass.

here is an observation that is worth looking into: the only thing psycho mantis can actually do according to MGS are: telepathy (mind reading and mind control) psychokinesis (moving objects and himself with his mind) turning invisible (within the visible spectrum specifically, he DOES remain visible in the infra red.) yet in MGSV we see him among other things: -phase through solid matter (such ass a helicopter or hospital walls) -interact with the dead (Ocelot killing the DARPA chief was an apparently an issue, which it wouldn't have been if mantis was also a medium) -and just to make sure, i've played through the entire sahelanthropus fight with thermal goggles on and didn't see him once. and keep in mind MGS takes place later in the time line, so if anything mantis should have gotten more or at least stronger abilities by this point, not fewer.

When the game was new a few people talked about the 2nd Ishmael but then, when people were talking about the story a bit later on they all just overlooked it as if it wasn't important or put it off as a filler model to fill the room which is clearly untrue because it's too well visible and even focussed on directly. Not to mention that the so-called truth mission states that only 48 hours passed between Venom's surgery and his escape. That's literally impossible especially without nanomachines lol

A little hypothesis (just for fun). MGSV-GZ is developed in a different universe, that's why: -the guns have different names than the real life like in other games -snake and ocelot have different voices and personalities -volgin has fire powers instead of electric -the Skull unit (bosses) are repetitive The multiverse is explained by the wormhola and Metal Gear Survive (a simple explotion can open a portal to other dimension)

Ok so hear me out here what if MGS as a whole was all a dream the medic had while in a coma as he first dreamed of the action packed early adventure of big boss and later his clone solid snake until finally giving himself a role in his dreams

Ishmael is clearly Venom, manipulated into believing he's a savior, a martyr for the new world Big Boss wants to create. I swear I love it here y’all done managed to find sooooooooo much about this game to prove it’s much more than just a game

What we are seeing is the fragmented memory of a PTSD addled mind trying to make sense of a stressful event. Ishmael is a combination of characters both real and imaginary tied together by the image of the legendary hero, Big Boss. The initial setup of the scenario doesn't make any sense, if Big Boss was actually there to protect Ahab then why wasn't he armed? We see that the doctor has a pistol so there is no obvious reason why Ishmael (if he was Big Boss) wouldn't have had weapons stashed in the room to facilitate a defence or extraction in the highly likely scenario of an assault or assassination attempt. Whenever he has previously been on a mission where procuring weapons onsite has been the only option it has been because of political instability, this situation didn't have those parameters and therefore weapons should have been available in one form or another. We know that Big Boss is a skilled CQC practitioner but he's also a tactical mastermind and wouldn't have overlooked the vastly improved chances of survival provided by being armed. Big Boss is confident in his hand to hand abilities but he's not cocky enough to think that he could extract someone important relying on his fists alone when better options were clearly available. I don't know if you've highlighted this in previous breakdowns of the hospital scene but if we look at the shirtless model of Venom when available later in the story (Afghanistan onwards) we see he has a large scar on the front of his right shoulder but if we take a closer look we see a smaller triangular scar next to it that would be concurrent with a stab wound. If we look at how the knife thrown by Quiet is positioned in Ishmaels shoulder we see that the wider spine of the blade is at the top and this matches with the scar where the wider section of the wound is also at the top. Therefore we can conclude that Ishmael is Venom in this scene but his mind has put things together wrong because it can't make sense of things. This theme of confused recollection continues with the way Ishmael talks, he constantly says 'We' rather than 'I' up until the first combat scene where he says "I'll take right, you take left" followed by "I'll run a distraction" where he does neither. Ishmael also has pharmaceutical knowledge that while not beyond the limitations of Big Bosses knowledge, suggest the shared mind of a medical practitioner. Big Boss dressed in a hospital gown and wrapped in bandages to protect his identity doesn't appear until he crashes an ambulance into The Man on Fire. Where he was until this point I don't know but this is the only confirmed point at which they are in the same place, everything else is just the confused recollection of someone trying to make sense of bad situation. The mind makes up stories to make horrible events seem understandable.

Venom Snake is supposed to be the venom of the original Big Boss. Hence Venom. V(Ahab) Is Naked Snakes'(The true Big Boss) Best Soldier and personal Guard. He's the only one capable of preforming tasks that resemble The true big boss all the way down to the legendary CQC. (Although Big Boss' CQC is far too superior.) Venom Snake was supposed to be the vengeance incarnate of Big Boss, Killing those who destroyed mother base 9 years ago. This is why some of the wandering soldiers attack you on sight. And only Actions that big boss can perform (CQC or using a cardboard box) peaks their interest, that leads to a fulton extraction. Bog Boss's clones were, to a certain degree, rebellious, chaotic, and confused by their genetic nature. Each one of them sought to kill the other to prove who's better than the other and the original Snake. This is why Venom Snake was entrusted with being the ultimate distraction to the world while the Original Big Boss(John, Jack, Naked Snake, and ofc, ISHMAEL) continue to Run Fox Hound while you run Diamond Dogs and make your own legacy with his name and his face.

I think the truth mission is how venom sees the truth when he found out that he was just a body double.

I feel like Ishmael's in-game model being used for the patient that's supposed to look like him is probably just for convenience. I also don't see any reason for there to be two Ishmaels in the first place; it doesn't add anything to the narrative

The problem with invoking thr "unreliable narrator" trope is that we, the audience are privy to moments that Venom is not. For example: we SEE Ismail walking away from the ambulance wreck with Ocelot while Venom hangs unconscious inside the van. This cannot be explained away by saying Venoms memory is faulty or manipulated...because he doesnt even witness the event. As for why BB would put himself in harms way to rescue his body guard? Well, he didn't. He went in to extract his body double...the person who was gonna take the heat off of him while he operated undercover for the next few yrs. In truth, the whole situation doesn't add up because the ppl coming to kill BB found out he woke up from his coma, but WHY? If he was such a threat, why not eliminate him BEFORE he wakes up? And even so, why send an entire squad to wreck the whole hospital and murder everyone in it when it would have been far easier and safer to just have someone undercover take him out quietly? I had to shut off my brain for that one and just go with it. I admire your desire to see more layers and complexity in whats presented, but it gets to a point where you basically just unravel the whole story and all meaning it might hold by assuming everything is a lie. If nothing you see can be believed, then theres no point in investing yourself in the story. Just my opinion. I enjoyed the video regardless. Cheers 🍻

Theory: The twist is you are Chico. Venom has Dissociate Identity Disorder(source: Medical Paz scene)Ishmael, Skull face(disappearing Skull face scenes), Kaz, Ocelot , Quiet are all alters. Skullface's burns line up with venoms horns. Kaz and Ocelot act different this game to any other game, their are written like one dimensional characters that represent anger and logic. Quiet represents Chico's wishing he didn't constantly open his mouth with his friends dying because of it, in both Peacewalker and GZ tapes. Go look up the deleted artwork, you'll see a skull faced Chico who has such guilt he's wearing Paz's poncho. Venom has guilt about Paz (medical bay scene) but in Ground Zero Big Boss is indifferent to assassinating her(opening G.Z dialogue). If you look up enough D.I.D. material you'll find that it causes people to split to protect the brain from things to horrible to live with knowing, like torture or loved ones dying. Who do we know who's been tortured and forced to torture via sexual violence? Chico in GZ tapes. Who's totally missing in Phantom Pain? CHICO! the phantom pain we should feel is the gap of missing Chico. Chico is the hidden ground zero personality, that's not allowed to emerge. His brain would rather believe he is some medic then believe he's responsible for Paz's death. So how does Skullface torture Chico if Chico is Skullface? Skullface is an induced alter that does all the dirty work. I've read in D.I.D. sometimes one of your alters takes on the identity of the perpetrator . this is an MKUltra Manchurian Candidate induction by what I believe is the real Ocelot/Skullface. My only source for this is a guard line in GZ which says something along the lines of he looked like a cowboy for some reason I cant remember his face(paraphrase). So skullface could be a real guy in this fiction around G.Z. time or he could just exist as an induced Manchurian Candidate Alter used by hypnotherapist tortures like we know Ocelot to be(MGS4)

Didn't in the prologue Ishmael go into the room on the right - into which he pulls Venom into - and a confused Venom mistakes the man standing there as Ishmael as he lags behind? And they look exactly the same cause they didn't want to model another person as it would be just another wrapped up patient?

Why hasn't Konami started development of the NES titles? MGS and Solid Snake 2..... These games could be a part 2 and 3 or TPP. And connect the dots between the NES titles and the PS1 game from 1999. Its a financially sound idea, come out with 2 remakes about stories never told on modern day gaming.

its just a red herring dude. Big Boss enters the hallway then quickly maneuvers around the crowd and ducks off into the room on the right. The camera snaps back to Venom Snake just before Big Boss goes into the room. Venom Snake trails behind because he was messing with the gate for some stupid reason (last one close the door maybe). Venom shambles through the crowd, like a kid looking for his mommy, then wave checks his homie but its just a rando and gets lost in the sauce of his butt cheeks. Everyone does the flop and Big Boss dies a little on the inside for the stupidity he just seen.

There's one thing that proves Venom snake is in fact the medic. And it's the Paz scenes, Big boss never cared about Paz like the medic did. All those scenes with Paz are hallucinations caused by the medic's guilt. He has big boss's memories and experiences but it's HIS hands that failed to find the second bomb, HE failed to Save Paz as the medic and not Big boss

Who else thinks MGS1 was a good balance of intriguing story, good gameplay, and AN EASY TO FOLLOW NARRATIVE! MGSV was great on gameplay. Nothing else can compete with it. But the story line......Jesus. What a mess. Hideo is an artist, but most fans truly love the feel of MGS1 and 3.

but what about volgin/man on fire? or how eli and venoms dna didnt match? volgin gave up on killing venom as soon as he actually got a closer look at him. if venom was actually naked snake wouldnt volgin have killed him? and if we take into account his connection to mantis, who connected with ahab and maybe ishmael or ishmael and maybe ahab, wouldnt he be able to some what tell the difference between them since mantis said he was able to read deep into peoples thoughts, no amount of subliminal and memetic rewriting would completely remove the original personality, as shown by liquid ocelot at the end of mgs4 and he had nano machines helping him be ocelot. this isnt to say volgin wouldve been told by mantis who was who but mantis wouldve known who he wanted his revenge on and probably wouldve help volgin focus on the og snake instead of the fake one. of course after cyperus, skullface had a stronger lust so volgins want was overruled but the same logic could be applied here too, though skullface was after revenge on the world so it didnt matter what snake was. but then we get to eli where the revenge is back on snake again, of course without ishmael mantis couldnt redirected it, and eli probably didnt care or was blind with his hatred. point being volgin didnt kill venom so its likely venom isnt naked snake. in the case of the dna not matching, ill say that its pretty easy for ocelot to lie about them not matching or switching dna samples to get a negative so take that as you will. overall i think venom is medic still because of how mgs4 ended and how the big boss is the one from mg2, old and new foxdie probably wouldnt have killed venom if he was the big boss at the end of mgs4 since his dna isnt the same as eli's, even with the graphed body parts of solidus and liquid it probably wouldnt have killed him. that is if the patriots didnt also code new foxdie with venoms dna included.

I still remember buying this game the day after it released and the sheer fun i had just unlocking all the equipment i wanted before moving on in the story. Especially the walker you unlocked when you went to africa. A truly great game and while my xbox 360 broke back in the day and lost all of my saves. I am considering buying it again so i can think about how great it was back then.

Something you should research if you haven't already, Digoxin, the drug Ishmael gives you. It actually suppresses your heart rate, and isn't a stimulant as he has you believe. Conveniently when Venom is hit with it, afterwards is when the hallucinations begin, but is also where the changes in the Truth mission stop. He's misremembering the events that unfold when he takes the photo from the doctor which changes the entire context of the game, but nothing after that. The cutscene with 'the actual Big Boss' and Ocelot is a scene without Venom, and therefore is a result of something he's inferring without actually knowing, it's Venom's truth, given to him by the Truth tapes (which unlock in the same way as the Paz truth tapes, through arbitrary gameplay until it's just given to you), and in the same way that Paz's Truth is a lie to Venom, Venom's Truth is a lie to us.

I hate to break it to you, but this is a very common trope in movies where an actor is duplicated to create a confusing scene where the protagonist thinks their associate has been killed before it's revealed it was just someone else who looked exactly like him. I can understand reading very far into this if you're unfamiliar with the media this game is inspired by, but it's just meant to create a fun scene where you think Ishmael is killed before the real Ishmael pops out from the side and saves you. The truth is, it was canonically just another patient who looked just like him due to his obscured and generic overall appearance.

You could be right. But you also might be looking to far into the double use of Ishmael model. They put him there as a distraction and a butt joke and I think copying the model just for that makes more since than creating a whole new character model for a few seconds of gameplay/cinematic. Also there are two Big Bosses. As seen in the original metal gear games where solid defeats first venom snake then the real Big Boss

maybe if you believe the lies the game tells, you'll find closure but looking into it makes you feel the phantom pain

Solid Snake was conflicted in the grave yard against Big Boss, if he really wanted to he could’ve put Big Boss down. ALSO the script for V states that Ishmael would’ve beaten Quiet if he had fully recovered from his coma.

Unrelated to these revelations, I just noticed something from the Shining Lights mission: when Snake walks down the hallway and transitions into a demon, the same way he sees himself in the ending cutscene, a firefight is suddenly heard in the background. This is the same noise you hear in both the very first cutscene in the game before the tape is played, and in the final scene when Snake breaks the mirror and walks into the darkness. The gunfire continues as the camera cuts to the bodies of soldiers on the ground. Considering MGSV is a memory recalled by Snake listening to the tape from the Man Who Sold The World, could he be blending two memories together here? Two memories involving the death of his men, once by his hand and another due to following Boss's orders and playing the role he needed to play?

The recycled model of Ishmael was only to make players go towards him, going through the crowd, rather than just waiting at behind and getting killed.

Kojima is a great story teller, but I wouldn't leave him in charge of a damn bowl of Jell-O.

Indeed there is something missing. Already in the first run of the prologue I noticed the doctor saying about possible hallucinations due to teeth and bones in Venom's head, and I thought this aspect was crucial in the story. I even thought that the Skulls were just creation of venom's mind and they don't exist... But then this aspect is never referenced anymore. Finally, knowing that Ishmail is Big Boss, I noticed he has both eyes. Surely there is something more to tell.

Very well done! But i for once do not believe MGSV was shipped as intended, I know this is a hardcore base here but still Kojima is only Human despite what Kaz says. That would mean EP. 51 was always meant to be unfinished, yeah Koji renaming it the Phantom Episode and showing 30% of the cutscenes 95% fully voiced w/ jaw dropping artwork is genius but doesn't get over the real life problems at Konami that went on in the final months. It sure as hell works but it was never intended to be that way. After the DS announcement, Koji also stated when asked what kind of a game it will be, he said It will be a full game this time. But again, well done, awesome new discovery. Always keep the legend alive, merry Christmas 🎄

I had everything but closure in MGSV. The ending was so inconclusive it made me feel uncomfortable, preempting my struggle searching for answers ever since.

U are a genius these are interesting points, but to me i like the fact that it wasn't really snake it was just you, me, the player in general. I remember playing the game with passion, i helped all my soldiers and build the base fully, all allies and never killed someone in action unless i had to. I felt great i was like damn snake is the best chacter ever, until the game told me that it wasn't snakr it was me, in a way the game tells you "you're awesome, thanks for being a part of metal gear" at that point i really didn't care anymore who's snake and who's not, the series came to an end and it was phenomenal

The truth for me is pretty simple. Which better way to protect Big Boss than make him believe that he was not Big Boss? The one who left is the Medic that believes himself to be Big Boss while we being the real Naked Snake believe ourselves to be a "fake". Also the fact that the sharpnel on his forehead may cause hallucinations makes it much more easier for him to be manipulated by a fabricated story that doesn't distinguishes real from fantasy. The doctor states that the sharpnel couldn't be removed, but who knows? It was way too convenient for it to be there rather than not. Also, dataminers had removed the bandages from "Ishmael" and his model is no other than the medic in Ground Zeroes...

I've been slowly getting back into metal gear and holy crap how did I never find this channel? Subbed and ready to binge the entire channel this is great content!

I am fascinated by the fact that Kojima uses interpreters when he clearly understands and probably speaks fluently multiple languages and always uses a Japanese interpreter

I'm sorry, I don't buy it. I really would like to tho, but I think Kojima is really done with MGS (and Konami, especially after Survival). Tho I'm grateful for all the games, after MGS1, Kojima was always pushed to do more and more, even tho he wanted to part ways with it. MGS2 tried to be the last one, MGS4 was indeed the one that filled all the missing pieces of the story and by MGSV you can clearly feel how Kojima was already tired of expanding the series... The game just expands in a way to make you understand why you had to kill Big Boss 2 times, how did he created 2 large military companies and how did ocelot, miller AND Zero influenced the whole plot, explaining how ocelot ended up with Liquid, Miller with Solid and Zero not hating Big Boss. It also references the main plot of the 2nd game stating "anyone can be Solid Snake, the perfect soldier". I don't find the game rushed nor unfinished. It's true that the final part (Eli, the kids and Sahelantropus) was left behind, but it just adds more story, not being crucial for understanding plot holes or so. Yeah, Venom is unreliable, but it does not change that fact that, at the end, there where 2 Big Bosses who you had to kill after the events of V. If there is a 6th game, I would love to play a MG1 and MG2SS remake. But I really think MGS saga is over, and, without Kojima, I really hope it's over.

Kojima is the only man that can truly bridge the gap between games and reality, not VR or ultra-realistic graphics, but the feeling you get from a game and how it lasts forever

Sounds Like a severe Case of personality disorder or shizophrenia. Maybe to cope with the past, He Had to imagine to be another man, so His Brain could handle the pain? All the symbolism make Sense If you think about shizophrenia, Not only is He another man, He hallucinates a Lot in and right after the Hospital Scene where He probably Had many painkillers. We See how He remembered, experienced Things, from big Boss perspective. Not what actually happaned since er are all big Boss so WE suffer with him, with His illness in this Game. And Not somebody who really Recorder the facts.

With the fact that 1984 is such a big influence I believe the events of the game aren't replacing Big Boss with a double but a repatriation of Big Boss after Peace Walker.
