Amazing, amazing run. Thank you so much for still doing runs in MH4U, much less with a weapon there’s not much TA out there for. Those dunks on Garuga were some of the most impressive stuff I’ve seen in MH. They’ll stick with me a long time to come. Cheers and thank you so much for doing these runs!
That's some good hammer play in old monster hunter, it may be not as quick or flashy as it is in world/rise but it had that oomph when you managed to get a monster tired and dominate the fight or when you could stop a monster right in its track with a very well positioned attack that gives the game sone weight that the new games lack.
I feel like old b.tigrex had a lot more impact in his roars compared to world and after thinking about it, i've come up with 2 reasons:: 1. old visual is seems bigger + more intense screen blur 2. there is a much larger delay between the inhale and actual roar (inhale and roar is slightly higher pitched as well) was there any reason to comment this? n o it just came to mind great run though! (also i know its citra but how would I go about getting 4u? do i need a copy of the game itself or an iso maybe?)
Do you use the official Citra builds or do you use a custom one? Because there's a small input delay that I get only in 4U, which is not present in XX, really weird considering they are games by the same franchise. Anyway, great run and happy to see this game is not dead even in 2020!
There are a couple of neat combos you can do with it (such as Lvl 1 Charge -> X/A -> X -> X which can be done infinitely). This video uses the strongest attacks that the hammer can do like the Lvl 3 charge and the hammer swing. But yeah it's pretty simple in the older games. But hey, if it works, it works!
