Villians are quite literally people who felt and suffered, and wanted the world to experience it too. Although the trauma can obviously change a person, it does not excuse that the action didn't happen. They still harmed everyone, and has accept themselves as their own villian.

@@kiv3745 I agree with most of it. It does not excuse actions, and trauma has a lot to do with it. But, a sorry means nothing once you have gone through enough trauma and similar situations. A person can only break someone so many times, even with apologizing to them, until said person breaks and turns the villain. I have accepted myself as the villain by now, that is what villains do. Everyone is a villain to someone else.

Sometimes i wish there would be a follow up storyline to stuff like this, where the people who reacted would actually use the information they were presented with in a productive way, for example in this case, devising a plan to force AFO out of hiding and simultaneously getting him alone, catching him by suprise and giving him a professionally administered vibe check. But i also know how much effort that would take, and also that its the wrong part of my brain talking.
