That feeling of “You ever just feel like a side character?” Is extremely palpable when it comes to seeing people speedrun EX Deviants. It’s so cathartic and satisfying.

i got to agree, older gen and mhgu have the best speed run. Heroic run was one thing, but there were a couple light gun dual hyper monsters run that were insane. The timing between switching status shot between the two monster sync so perfectly, both monsters die from tri blast and cluster while being status lock. The all ammo reload skills were insane, the skill looks kind of mid at first, then you realize you can do cluster/crag Lv1, Lv2, lV3 in quick succession. The skill ceiling for light bow gun raise dramatically in mhgu compare to previous gen due to hunter art and internal ammo imho.

Grimclaw's Wingarms are also just a very good HZ on their own at 57, 2nd best to the face which is 70 when enraged. Peeboz has a lot of fun runs to watch on their channel, definitely recommend em. Also countering Soulseer's claw move from, what definitely LOOKS like behind, still baffles me to this day.

something i noticed with the narlycuga is that he stayed on the right side of its face since its tail attacks came around that way and the jumps went to the left side so he wasnt hit by the jump despite being up in his grill

That guy Is great, i would recommend to watch his bloodbath vids and that one EX hellblade hunt where he only used the plesioth hammer(and also used Guild style).

Not a lot of people know this but you can loop the valor spirit slashes infinitely (as long you have gauge for it) Thats why I much prefer using Unhinged Spirit than Critical Juncture

Note: Valor counter for LS counters anything that os considered a physical attack, so Rathalos fire balls, narga scales and the like are fair game, anything considered pure element like Gravios beam and Rajang beam from my understanding cannot. Feel free to correct me If I am wrong, I am swaxe main with swaxe brain.

i think the arm has a no knockback hitbox during the recovery animation and that's what he's countering

The second counter he does that you replay multiple times including at 17:54. He's legit countering the step tigrex takes that does a smidgen of damage and can trip you. Look at the tigrex's right hand (left hand from hunters pov) homie is actually crazy

Elemental multiplier is very high in GU. So its normally always the best way to go with some exceptions

You should watch some valor GS speed runs they are awesome

Oh they replace the Deviant Music whit Nargas, thats so good. I wont recommend Elemental LS, Narga is just a good matchup for it thats all. Well all of Nargas Stuff is quiet easy to roll. I recommend watching a SA Run against Brute Tigrex in 4U. They use Evasion, but its epic regardless. 11:15 that role isnt that hard, only the Head has a Hitbox, dodge before he starts the Bite, and your save.
