To expand on the tip on the food buff Felyne Explorer, it only works if the quest you departed on is capable of "crash landing" you in a random spot of the map. Since low rank quests and harvest tours (regardless of rank) will ALWAYS spawn you at base camp, Felyne Explorer will not work when used with these quests so bear that in mind so you will not waste the buff.
The most depressing thing I see in most of online hubs is the people who have armor sets and decorations equiped that give them nearly two pages of incomplete skills. Some of which go up to 9 points. I blame MHW
no, this skill system is just isn't intuitive. having even just 9 points makes it worthless. at least in world you'd have less effective version of the skill if you had fewer points. no points are actually wasted
@@Zaney_ two vastly different systems, while I agree it's somewhat unintuitive, I don't think it's worse. Infact, I like it more in the old gen games. I dislike how much of mhw works anyway so im a little biased :p
As a new MH player this was probably the most useful video or guide I’ve seen thanks. I was especially wondering about escaping pins and mounting monsters.

Been laying for a bit and I had no idea you could do that interaction with the ballooner when on a hunt. I can't tell you how frustrating it can be to try and find a monster when you don't have much psychoserum handy. Thanks.
First MH Freedom Unite was my bae game, now its MHGU....Im so happy i bought a switch for this :D MHW disapointed me in terms of content so this one here must do it :D
Yeah, I loved MHW for the first couple weeks, but very suddenly ran into a wall of "no content" once the story was finished. MHG and MHGU just have such a large roster that it's easy to justify picking it up, even though I already played the hell out of MHG on 3DS.
Now this is an excellent and amazing guide thats quick and too the point. Gives a lot of great information and doesn't belittle anyone for their chosen style of playing. Possibly one of the best I've seen.
I've had generations for a while but barely played, then i got World and played like hell. Getting back to generations, a lot of these tips are things i didn't know and will help me out a lot when i'm starting off, so thanks you so much =D
Learning the all the unique things keeps getting better and better :D I just saw the old mh3u map in this game. This seriously is the ultimate monster hunter game
Also when playing as prowler you can always see where the monster is. The unlimited stamina is awesome for the manditory deliver quests. Did one where I got the eggs and Rathian never noticed my kitty

I thought the rathian and rathalos only swarmed you on the delivery quest. I never thought they just did that whenever you grabbed an egg. Great video!
Some Guy Gen’s tutorials in general are pretty terrible compared to 4U. Great Jaggi was a far better tutorial punching bag monster than Great Maccao imo. Though they probably slumped on the tutorials because Gen was intended to be an anniversary celebration title for vets.
I just bought this game on switch for $11. Thank you for the tips and I was playing Monster Hunter rise but I felt it was lacking something not sure what it is so I'm going to play this one because it has more content and more things to do. I feel like this is more hardcore than rise.
Orion I feel you. I was mostly done with 4U and going through Gen with my cousins until I watched some Omegaevolution videos and he did all these shortcuts and my mind was blown.
I wanted to say, its a nice vid but on Felyne Explorer this does not work on Harvest Tour Quests or Low Rank Quests (secret areas do not spawn in Low Rank)
Wow i played MH GEN for a long time now and i did not know about supply drops haha =) It would have come in handy at the Crazy Devil Dämonjo quest " A new Land" ^^
I am stuck where I have to complete BORING fetch quests! Is there a way around this? I am not getting any new hunt quests I skipped all the fetch this egg, fetch this mushroom fish this fish that quests but it seems i need to do them since Now I am not getting any hunt quests. 20 hours in right now.
There are key quests, you never have to do ALL the quests to progress, but you will need to do some. I recommend kiranico.com to determine which you need to do.
It seems so much different than gen and I haven't played in a while. I just got a switch and GU, should I bother transferring my hunter or should I start fresh? I think all I got that's decent is Dreadking armor and Silverwind SA
Its amazing to me how many people dont know raths will come to you if you pick up a wyvern egg. It makes their hunts so easy, since not only do you never need to leave, but you can just drop a trap where theyre gonna land.
Also, let me add this, for a stress free hunting/material farming, turn off the background music!! Don't get me wrong. Capcom did a great job for the sound tracks but hearing the jurassic frontier large monster music for hundreds of times is getting on my nerves. Besides, silencing the music opens up sounds you may have not noticed before.
How do you unlock more arts? Ive done multiple quests that are supposed to unlock arts but I still only have the 3 I started the game with. What the hells going on?
This is great.. unless you're stuck playing offline like me and have no friends locally either, like me. Then this game turns into probably the least fun you can have farming. especially in grank and hyper monster, where hunts take like 40mins.. it's just not fun. that's why i dropped this game. hyper monsters have too much health and damage, and it's hard or nigh impossible to make many endgame sets to kill the hyper monsters because in most cases you need their parts to craft and upgrade it. which is so frustrating. hyper monsters should've just been harder hunts but with no unique drops like the tempered system in world. And don't even get me started on the horrible Deviant progression system. What a mess of a game. especially solo
That single piece is Najarala G rank armor, its a mixed set with alloy and some other parts to give HGE, windproof low, crit eye 2 and speed sharpening (a nice early G rank set i made for myself)
The beginning armor is a mixed set that uses alloy, jaggi, and the chest piece is Najarala - all G rank. The others in the video are Toka (the samurai looking one) and silverwind nargacuga (the ninja looking one). There's a little bit of seltas armor in the video as well.
