Nice, I'm currently playing through MHGU again, and I'm planning to farm high rank silverlos for its armour. I'm also a GS main, so this is very convenient. Thanks!
@@finter4644 there are several others, such as the event quest Glimmers of False Hope, but they play out more or less the same. I picked those 3 because Storyteller is the best regular Silos farming quest, Silvery Rath the best for getting specifically his hyper mats and Tragedy unlocks Chaos Oil III, a very strong hunter art, so those quests are the most common ones that people will do right away.
Gold Rathian is MILES worse than SR. Silver Rath is acceptable with Glaive. But whats annoying about these raths is not their patterns but that shitty arena layout which I hate!
@@cesaritox09 unfortunately you're gonna have to learn them. There is no cheese. Check out Herny's guide, it's pretty good. In G-rank just figure out how to dodge the triple breath (walk under him to make it stop) and be aware that savage loves to chain the pin attack after most of his normal openings.
The SnS combo deals less damage and you'll need a handicraft set for optimal damage. I'm afraid you'll need more flashes if you do that. I picked GS because it's easy and stronger than most other weapons.
I actually did almost the same strat against hyper silver rath but with light bowgun. Not sure if I can really call it easy or hard fighting it is definitely an annoying experience. If we are talking about tough hyper monsters, hyper Astalos is definitely my nemesis. I already tried every weapon I know how to use and I still failed to win against it. I even resorted to my pellet/normal hbg set and still failed.
@@levobertus some of the stuff I do against regular astalos are way harder to do against a hyper one. Charge lancing, typical insect guild insect glaive, head sniping with hammer, I feel like I cant reach its head and wings
Ancients combine to 10, max only to 5. Of course you can bring them (in fact, I did here, too), but you'll just have more. I don't get hit enough times that I really need that many, but others might, so having them is better than just having 2 max pots and running out. Also I don't agree that ancients are more of a pain to craft than max pots. Dragon Toadstools take up a spot on your farm/trader and you will need them to make max pots. Kelbi Horns and Immunizer can straight up be bought at the trader when they're rotated in. Just buy 500 of each and you'll be set for a long time. No checking up every 10 quests and no taking up trader spots that could be used for latchberries. Opening the combine menu is trivial, imo, plus you do that for the flashes to begin with in this particular quest.
