I love how this is a reversed theme portrayed in Rise, where it portrays the Gods/Deities descending from above the Heaven. In Sunbreak it portrays the Devil rising from the abyss of Hell.
@@TheKnightDrag0n I honestly don't know if they're related or not... On one hand, they both have reduced, flipper like him limbs and splitting jaws. On the other hand, gaismagorm has the gogmasios skeleton which suggests he's related to him, and the serpents have a leviathan or serpent skeleton. Perhaps it's just convergent evolution?
@@reallycantthinkofausername487 The way I see it gaismagorm is a larval form of the serperts because of the splitting jaw, and wing abilities think about it like how xeno'jiiva is a larval form of safi'jiiva.
An interesting thing I've only just realised is how Gaismagorm is meant to represent the Devil and Malzeno a Vampire. Sticking to the story, Dracula gained his powers by making a deal with the Devil itself. Malzeno has a symbiotic relationship with the Qurios, who initially belong to Gaismagorm. They portrayed their relationship much better than I was expecting. This might very well be the best-thought final boss in MH.
but weren't Malzeno and Gaismagorm at each other's throats? Bahari stated that Gaismagorm was invading Malzeno's territory. or is what you said a reference to Dracula's powers?
@@jacktheomnithere2127 They were, the reference is simply Malzeno using the same power of Gaismagorm. Since Gaismagorm represents the Devil and Malzeno is a Vampire, Malzeno using the Qurios (Gaismagorm's own power) is a probable reference to that.
Malzeno is making sure the devil does not rise up from hell and destroy the world. I think that vampire dragon is trying to prevent the end of the world.
I got strong Gogmazios vibes from this from how it’s skeleton looks, the posture and the way it just moves around. It seems like it’s got a multitude of other Monsters attacks like Xeno/Safi, the Magalas, Teostra. Like it’s straight up a combination of all of them with the appearance of Narwa with it’s split-jaw. Overall a really sick monstrosity.
@Felipe NS Rise was at best good. Very lacking and balance wise very odd entry. Still enjoyed shit ton of it, but I'm a simpletone, anything with a monster hunter I will enjoy.
@@bigwhiteshogun "balance wise very odd entry" Almost every monster hunter has had major balancing issues tho, especially GU. Rise is far from unique in that aspect. So far tho sunbreak seems to be pretty well balanced overall. Let's hope that continues through the updates.
@Felipe NS Rise was the worst base game in recent monster hunter but it was still a good game overall. Sunbreak wasn't as good as Iceborne but that's to be expected given its not as big a game as World, plus it was still great and did a lot to improve on Rise
this may be the final stoy boss...but THERE ARE STILLMORE MONSTERS TO COME in future update..freakin insane..This monster is badass though, but I bet Nergigante wants a piece of it
Definitely. If Gaismagorm can be (loosely) inspired by the Devil and have the Magala skeleton, then why not have Gogmazios, who’s name stems from 2 beings who allied with Satan against God, and also shares the same skeleton?
I think it's unrelated to narwa and ibushi, they only have four limbs; but this one has six, also his mouth is more like an inverted star instead of a perfect square. It actually has more in common with gore magala; strong wing arms, smaller hind legs, and the ability to use other life forms to feed off their environment (blood bats vs frenzy virus). This is like some subterranean relative of magalas. At first I considered if this was ibushi and narwas child since they have that underground arena, but 6 armed animals wouldn't be related to four armed ones - we would see more evidence of ibushi and narwas having former wing arms, but like leviathans they don't and are unrelated to typical wyverns. This monster has six limbs like a typical elder dragon, but the first with wing arms outside the magalas and share ishvalda
From the depth, its voice can be heard "The time has come." from the depth,it beckons: "Come to me." as it feeds on stolen life its power grows even strong until it finally reveals itself. -abyssal archdemon GAISMAGORM
I had a concept recently about a class of monster that stands even above elder dragons. Called them Dragon Kings. Titanic in size. Makes even safi Jiva and zora magdaros look like children in comparison. If elder dragons are living natural disasters, then Dragon Kings are extinction level calamities that could go off at any time. The only thing stopping them from doing so is each other. In a sense their very presence and awareness of each other is what keeps them all in check. If one King tries to prematurely end the world, another King shows up to stop it restoring balance. When all but one Dragon King remains when the others are dead it'll trigger an extinction level event that will reset the earth back to it's primal days. Scary thought isn't it?
Yeah, they exist. They are called "Black Dragons" or "First Class Level Monster". They are not titanic in size, but they basically have the role of " living extinctions". In this classification we have: Alatreon, Fatalis, Crimson Fatalis, White Fatalis, Dire Mirales, Disufiroa and Merphistophelin.
Neither, it’s lived underground for ages and has been trying to surface for ages. However, Malzeno has been in a very long turf war with it and was trying to starve it out. It was a partial success, since the red bats with Malzeno are actually under Gaismagorm’s control
But what was the sole living bat leech ( I couldn’t remember their official name to save my life) that came out of gaismagorm? Are the bats premature gaismagorms?
Ok Gotta Say This This Monster Reminds me of The Skull Crawlers Form the Monsterverse a Lizard monster with a Narrow face Hungerless For Destruction and Is name Title As A Devil? But I even without mention the skull Crawler I have to say He might Rival Fatalis to some Degree
what if this isn't the real final boss its because the continuation of sunbreak might begin in 2023. And there might be a true form of a monster in the continuation of sunbreak. The monster look new at the continuation of sunbreak that people starting to believe that the company is replaying again and that order us to believe that what if gaismagorm isn't the real final boss and there are elder dragons from iceborne, world, generation and even the true final boss (hint: it's not gaismagorm!) And the quiros are alive and the hunters believe that there is something strong, afflicted elder dragon, the king of quiros and world class elder dragon (hint: that's not gaismagorm!!!)
Theres a very high chance for White Fatalis to be Sunbreaks final update. White Fatalis is an extremly powerfull black dragon known for causing sun eclipses or in other words "Breaking the Sun".
@@alexciesielski1840 I mean he wasn't directly trying to fight it. He was trying to starve it to death by taking all the food. Smart tactics but almost ruined the ecosystem.
the only thing i would've changed is that narwa looking mouth, kind of ruins it for me since it feels like another narwa, and reapting final bosses is pretty much vague, but this ones much different at least
This fight was fun the 1st time around but then you soon realize you are running a blademaster weapon and will have to spend like 30+ minutes avoiding bullshit AOE literally too big to dodge and trying to hit weak spots too far away for your short melee range to reach....
@@samuel30853s is that it? the skeleton and 1 move it has? by that logic every leviathan is the same, every brute wyvern is the same, every bird wyvern is the same, every monkey is the same, every bear is the same, you get the idea. thats not them reusing monsters, thats them using existing skeletons to create unique and different monsters
@@reallycantthinkofausername487 dude the fact that last gen MH like generation ultimate have more creative final boss is hilarious compared to this next gen xeno shara reskin lmao
@@majorpeepo i agree, too an etent but let's be honest, that's one hell of a high bar. The Serpents were great among the entire MH roster. I see this guy as a great monster with a nice design. They are no Gog level fight, Shara tier design or Narwa type spectalce but regardless... Gia is pretty good man.
Your setting your expectations wayyy too high for this game. New original Monster designs aren’t exactly easy to create and this game had a decent number of them already. Be happy with what you get. Considering what happened with Covid these past few years, you could have just gotten nothing.
A cool detail is how Gaismagorm’s claws are shaped. They look a lot like the paws of moles, which are used for digging and pushing through soil, which makes sense for a mostly subterranean animal. It makes even this creature that seems downright supernatural feel like part of the world it inhabits.
@@consumerjtc5835 Hey, the Admiral did help, as did the other hunter in the Fatalis fight. And the Serious Handler and the Old Lady did help in their ways... Everybody else was absolute trash however
@@josetapia9606 there were really only 4-ish people who did the logistics to locate and make the machinery within the actual fight there out of the MULTIPLE SHIPS and crew that came with us. Aiden nearly got char grilled not even a quarter way through.
In my first run, after she pulled that off, Gaismagorm was at critical health and the devil wasn't going down easy. Fio has never went down in any subsequent hut so seeing her go down at the last stretch genuinely sent me into a state of simultaneous rage and panic. I then solo'd Gismagorm to Proof of a hero in a focus induced rampage.
Men they really made a devil monster in mh. The final phase really feel like your fighting in hell and it gave me dmc vibes. Seriously they better brought gogmazios he now has 3 monsters that share the same skeleton in the game like both magalas and this thing.
Acxually no they arent the only ones. Nergigante, Valstrax, Shara Ishvalda, Xenojiivq and Safijiiva also use the same skeleton but their wings are modified to not have wing arms
God i cant even express how much i love monster hunter games... i thought world's end credit scene was beautiful but this one was so much more gorgeous and heartwarming especially because of how thye went more in depth with the characters i was tearing up a bit. I really hope future monster hunter games will be even better
Definitely feels like Book of Revelation Satan up in here. Attempting to crawl out of hell during the end times, but to be confronted by the player, who is essentially taking the role of Michael in sending him back to the depths. The final phase is basically the sixth seal being broken with the whole sky turning blood red. I was pretty mixed on him initially, just looking like a bunch of Pacific Rim kaiju pallete swapped to red, but those biblical references make him more interesting to me. I still feel that he looks like a giant demon Furious Rajang when he goes blazing though.
Timed out three times fighting him by myself but got him the 4th time. This thing is absolutely insane. I thought since this thing was so big and slow, it would be easier to avoid his attacks... I was so wrong. Great boss fight nonetheless, the music, atmosphere, animation and design of Gaismagorm is amazing.
Gotta admid it. When i was thinking what the final boss was gonna be, litereal Satan did not come to mind lmao. Fun fight tho. My eyes are bleeding for the rainbow epilepsy of the final attack but still a good fight.
What a perfect game. I never would’ve thought a MONSTER HUNTER game would be my new favorite game of all time, but here we are. I was actually gripped to the story, the characters, the grind, it was all so flawless. I was so nervous about the monster roster being small but they reworked EVERY old monster to a point of perfection that it really felt like we had so much content. Thank you, Capcom
i genuinely think this might be best story we ever got and the best final boss, The frontier moves, unexpected directions like creepypasta and malzeno disarming Hunter's weapon
@@squirtbrainz1219 I genuinely just felt depressed doing that quest, and I just felt bad for the lunagaron... I didn't feel like a badass hunter saving people from a terrifying monster, I just felt like I was putting a suffering animal out of its misery
@@reallycantthinkofausername487 To be fair, that's what the hunter is more or less doing through-out each series since from a lore perspective the elder dragons and humans of the past warred with each other to the point that the humans were sent back to the stone age while the dragons lost all sense of their version of language and devolved into wild animals in their death throughs towards extinction. The hunter is never really the hero nor the villain, just a guy in it either for fame, vanity, greed, or to protect their home town.
@@MarkFin9423 the canonicity of the great dragon war is... questionable at best. It seems to have been more of a scrapped idea from when monster hunter was going to be a more typical fantasy game, with sorcerers and the like. I also am not a fan of the idea of the dragons being hyper intelligent and originally having a language or culture or something. "Legends of the Guild" on netflix gave a pretty vague sort of, tease about it. They said something about how humanity was overhunting and destroying nature and then it clapped back. If I had to find a reasonable way to include it :Monsters, elder dragons especially, were being overhunted and eventually the elders recognised humans as a threat with a "kill on sight" policy and sometimes attacking human settlements, just like elephants today. Eventually culminating in Fatalis destroying the kingdom of schrade, and humans then learned how to avoid such a disaster from occurring again by joining forces with the wyverians
@@Amatsu_storm_approach its said that the yawning abyss stretches down for miles underground, so the question is: Would we be fighting full power gaismagorm on the surface or an even lower level
Yeah, but it's risky. Its Dereliction skill drains your health constantly, but either your element/status or raw/stun damage is increased, based on which skill scroll you're using. It's fairly common to pair it with Bloodlust from the Shagaru Magala armors for even more power. Bloodlust inflicts you with the Frenzy Virus upon entering combat with a large monster, and changes the way it works - it also starts draining your health, but boosts your attack and stamina recovery. Upon overcoming the Frenzy, all of your red health gauge is restored and you get an affinity boost. When the affinity boost wears off, you're reinfected, assuming you're still in combat. I like using this Dereliction/Bloodlust combo with Light Bowgun. The Frenzy Virus is overcome not by how much damage you deal, but how many hits you deal. Rapid Fire obviously deals lots of hits, so you'll overcome the Virus quickly enough.
The similarities this boss shares with other monsters are as follows: Safi/Xeno ‘Jiva: Both suck life energy, have blue glowy mouths. Narwa/Ibushi: Similar Mouth Structure, Similar feet, Hands, and Back Legs. Gogmazios: Both have exploding breaths, Both have Four arms And finally a feature they all share…. Bad ass Ultimate attacks.
@@HowlingDoom there's so many cringy character scenes that my brain just chose to forget those cutscenes entirely. At least they're slowly improving lol
@@HowlingDoom prolly a worst story in monster hunter than any other... like nothing is memorable about worlds story its as basic as it can get. rise was basic to a degree until we saw ibushi and narwa which spiced things up and now its even better with malzeno and this mother fucker of a demon dragon
As someone who prefers God Eater over MonHun, I really loved it when Fiorayne assisted me during the final boss. Actually made MonHun story pretty good
I am so glad I avoided everything to do with this devil to have a right proper first experience with it. And damn was I pleased XD from its fight to the theme that plays as you fight, it is on a whole different level than Ibushi and Narwa, literally. It also is probably the most unique looking out of the final bosses so far, it truly does look like a demon and will always be referring to it as such. It carted me twice because of off timings with GS but my goodness is it still a fun fight.
I finally got rid of Elder Dragon Satan just a few minutes ago. For being the final boss, Gaismagorm was way more manageable than Malzeno. Most of its attack are telegraphed (though I made the mistake of not using the Spellcaster before its crimson wing finisher, which I immediately undid about 10 minutes later) and what really I found troublesome was its massive health and hitbox. Fortunately, both your Palamutes and Fioraine can distract it long enough to let you deal some damage in its goldilocks hitzone (the vestigial limbs and its tail) before it turns around and tries to suck you into its mouth or roast you with some hellfire.
It is amazing to see his power and he even made it known that soon "The true owner of this world will be reborn", every day he hunts closer to "White Fatalis"
Xenojiiva, Shara, Allmother Gaismagorm has them all beat, i couldn't help but laugh out my excitement as i was gunning him at the wall with the ballista
Whatever we end up fighting in title update 5 if it’s the last update, I hope it gets another joint effort from the NPCs like this fight and the Galleus ship vs Gaismagorm cutscene did. One final hurrah to sunset Sunbreak, pun fully intended
Cuphead and mh have more in common than you'd think. They both had a bug expansions release on the same day, and you both fight the devil as the final boss
If you look up during his meteor attacks, it summons the meteors from a MINIATURE SUN, this thing ain’t a monster or an elder this is straight up a demon from the abyss
