The second build is really a breath of fresh air, it feels really powerful against certain monsters which the regular style gets completely countered (bazelgeese for example) thank you for the inspiration
@@YokaiNox for my testing the sneak attack version also works really well with the new primordial malzeno ability, it was activate basically during all of the time of the hunts I have tested (risen and afflicted monsters ) , highly recommend you to give it at least a try
@@nataledesposito2075 Indeed! It works quite well in combination and gives a pretty much free ATK Boost to the Build without having to change much. It will likely be incudet in a future video aswell.
Thanks, I appreciat it! I'm actually working on an upgraded GS Build right now 😄(Over the course of a Hunt uing Primordial does make a difference. But it's actually more for comfort than it is for damage. The +40 ATK from Blood Awakening hardly makes a big difference, since we're already hitting super high numbers) Just took a small break to jump back into World for a while ^^
That's a nice setup. One of the Amatsu GS Builds will be similar to this. But depending on how you're playing it should definitely have Bloodlust Lv 1 to make up for the negative Affinity more consistantly. That's the only change you might wanna considder right now 👍🏽 If you bring a Fighter Palico that will also be a good way to get rid of the negative Affinty for a while. The other one will be using a Blood Awakening, MoH, Peak, setup that actually has very similar Damage but is more comfertable and can be used against anything. It's good to have an option like that because Afflicted Monsters will give us Bloodblight. Wich sadly makes a Dragonheart Build completely useless, since we get healed with every hit^^"
could you by chance tell me what layered armor you used for the thumbnail? i know that the helmet is gold rathian and the whole thing just looks so good!
No problem at all man 👍🏽 Head - Gold Rathian Chest - Guild Palace Arms - Guild Palace Waist - Hawk Legs - Guild Palace (You unlock the Guild Palace Armor from doing Arena Quests and getting the Coins)
Sadly the Lucent Narga GS has no chance to beat the Chameleos GS. It's because it needs a Rampage Slot Upgrade first to use the Lv 2 Rampage Decos + The poison on it is just too low. The uptime on Poison for the Lucent Narga GS is super low. Chameleos GS has 4x higher Poison. It's 20 Poison vs 80 Poison 😅
You can find it in Episode 5 of my Layerd Sets. ▶ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ipTfz3vLDp0.htmlsi=tEtch6DG2AI-VMQt (It's just colored in gold on the Thumbnail and uses the Hawk Belt insted)
Hey, sorry for the late reply, i've been buisy for a few days. Do you mean select the Skill when melding Talismans ? Sadly that isnt possible. You can only get Frostcraft Talismans from Vigor melding, wich is RNG based. but luckily Frostcraft doesnt seem to be that rare.
@@YokaiNox All right, this makes sense. So, the only way is to Vigor meld and wait for the skill to randomly appear. Thanks, thats a big help. I did not understand the process.
That will depend on each Armor Piece and if it has Skills you dont mind loosing. You can see wich Augment method i used in the "Augments" section for each Build here.
There definitely are enough Slots. You are literally the only one who's has run into an issue with it lol. Wich of the Builds are you talking about though ? We'll figure out what's going on for sure ^_^
I'll gladly help, but i'm a bit confued 😄The Decorations you need are all listed in the Video. If you start by placing the biggest ones first everyhing else will fall into place by itself. Always start with the Lv 4 Decos and work your way down from there. If you're still having trouble with it after trying this let me know 👍🏽
I think he's right. If the talisman has no slots. Then all the decos you listed don't fit. There's 17 decos but armor only has room for 15. Btw, what was the rampage deco you used?
Depends on wich one you mean. Regular Narga GS: Just not very good anymore in Sunbreak and gets outperformed by alot of other Greatswords Lucent Narga GS: Decent replacement for the Scorned Magnamalo GS, but can not beat the ScoMa or Chamaleos GS in overall DPS.
Thanks for the feedback, i appreciate it! Glad you're enjoying the content ^_^ Gunlance is very high up on the list right now & depending on what news we get about TU6, there may be a TU5 Gunlance Video happening soon😁
I mentioned in the Video that there will be a seperate one for the Amatsu GS 😄 The issue with Amatsu Admant spam is that it's not very effective against alot of high tier monsters due to their movement past a certain AR Lv. But you can bascially just use the first Build for it exactly as it is.
..eehm..lol 😄 I'm gonna guess that you didnt watch much of the Video, or skipped quite a bit. Because I do use the Risen Valstrax Gloves. The Risen Chammy ones are only in the Budget Version of the 1st Build. Wich also already answers your question 😄Since Budget Builds do not use Augments, that one runs the Risen Chammy Gloves to have access to Build Up Boost. As you can see, the R.Chammy Gloves are not in the upgradet/augmented version of the Build. Insted they are replaced by R.Valstrax since augments are includet there.
You can find it in this Episode of my Layered Armor Sets ▶ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ipTfz3vLDp0.htmlsi=dHazVhrAVThE4gHZ (Only difference is the waist and the coloring)
@@YokaiNox It shows the budget version but the weapon is maxed out. That means you have access to all the upgrade materials needed which isn't budget at all.
@@mrmrton08 The upgrade-state of the Weapon makes no difference to the Build whatsoever 😄 The only thing it does, is slightly increase the Damage. You just upgrade the weapon as you go on. There's also no reason for me to make the same Weapon again from the start, when i already have it upgradet. (This is the No.1 GS to use overall now. The only things that factor into actually "chaning" something about a GS Build right now, are the used Parts. Wich are all non-augmented. Wich upgrade Lv the Weapons has, makes no difference to the Skills, wich is what determains a Build.)
I have to try this. My GS build right now his 128 normally and maybe 500 with TCS. Not a great sword main, just trying it out, it feels very underwhelming.
Do you have any recommended builds for Amatsu GS? I have one my own build with Attack Boost, Crt Boost, Wex, Offensive Guard, Frost Craft, Dragon heart, Wirebug Whisp, Heroics, Stun res, and Max Might all maxed out, except for Crit Eye + 3 and Blood lust +1 and MoH + 1, Coalescence + 2, Frenzied Bloodlust + 1 and Defiance +3. I get like 1072 on my attack and 40% on my affinity. I hit like almost 16k or higher on sleeping monsters and on SAS counter, I get like 5K to 9K. I was kinda hoping I could get a little higher on the damage. This is a similar build that I have, but I'm using the the Risen Kaiser helm, Risen Valstrax Greaves, Virtue Coil, Rimeguard Mail, and Buff arms. My talisman is a Dragon heart +4 with Offensive Guard + 2 and it has 2 level 2 slots.
Nicely put together! The Set seems pretty well optimized and is pretty close to one i've been messing around with to run some tests. Like i mentioned at the end of the Video there will be a sepereate Video for the Amatsu GS aswell. Right now the Amatsu GS is in kind of a strange place.. I thought it would be alot more dominant for some Builds, and could crack into the 10K range for SAS already. But when doing the math it turns out that the Amatsu GS is still kinf of a "trap" or Sidegrade in alot of cases. But there's a very good chance that TU6 is gonna change that soon and Amatsu GS will have some clear winning Builds. I wouldnt change anything about your Build for now 👍🏽 Any change will be hardly even noticable in the DPS at all atm.
Frostcraft only drops from Vigor melding (RNG). The best way to get something with Frostcraft fast, is using the Zinogre Event that drops Melding Acellerants as reward. That way you can meld lots of Talismans quickly. You'll ofc still need melding meterials aswell though.
It is indeed. Mathematically it now shares the no 3 Spot with the Chammy GS. Top 3 for GS is so close in overall damage output now that it hardly makes any difference over the course of a hunt though^^ (Unless you go for very specific Builds or monster matchups).
Frostcraft only drops from Vigor Melding. So the best way to get one asap, is to focus on farming Talismans in general & throwing in the new Zinogre Event every now & then. It will give you tons of Melding Accelerants, wich will drastically speed up Talismanin farming as a whole.
As in a different Lv 1 Deco you mean ? For Greatsword Stun Resistance is always good incase of unwelcome suprises. The new Inspiration Deco is nice aswell incase you have access to it already. Otherwise Lv 1 Decos will dependent on what else you're Build is using atm.
@@nook458 Right now Frostcarft is only avilable on Talismans from the Vigor Melding, wich is RNG. But luckily the drop rate for it arent bad. You should get one pretty quickly if you're farming Talismans. But if you get it as Augments in you Build, you can also use a ATK +3 Talisman with [2-2-0]
Normaly it isnt that bad to get, but i have a had a few parts in the past were it definitely took a bit longer than average. Sadly there's nothing we can do about that rng^^"
@@YokaiNox yeah bruh. But I got 1 level 4 and 1 level 3 deco on the head then use it to add more skills so I guess that's it for me. Thanks always for awesome Builds bruda
Glad you enjoyed it Cyrax! Thanks for the feedback ^_^ Yup, as Master of Hammers mentioned here you'll have to be 241and beat R.Valstrax or R.Shagaru to get the required Material. So you're very close to unlocking the Decos!👍🏽
Yes, all of these are still some of the best options for TU6 aswell 👍🏽But if you want, you can use Primordial Malzeno Chest, Arms & Legs for these Builds aswell.
@@eco9807 Nah, you can just add 1x Level of Bloodrite with a Decoration. Great Sword doesnt need more than 1x Level, so using the Helmet would be overkill and also limits the Build in other ways aswell.
This dropped right before the Bonus Update, since nobody expected it to come out this early in June. Mathematically though "outdated" is definitely not the case. The change that came with the Bonus update makes pretty much 0 difference over the course of 90% of all Hunts lol. The extra Damage from Bloodawekaning over the course of a hunt is less than 1x Lv 3 charge worth of damage😅at most, and less in alot of ither cases due to monster Health. Either way, there will be a new GS video aswell, like already announced in the Video😊 Thanks for the feedback.
@@elk3407 Yup. It suprised alot of us after going over the math. It's a nice boost when you look at the single Hits, but when you do the math on it it ends up being right around 1x Lv 3 Charge in total😄 It's only because GS has such crazy high DMG output on single hits or short bursts. Either way It's a nice addition that will be on alot of future Builds. But is it game changing ? Absolutely not.
@@Eli-iw4kb 😄Good thing is, alot of these parts will be used in the future aswell. So working towards them or having them around will definitely be benefitial in the long run. You can totaly stick with the previous GS Builds aswell though ofc! 😊
If you're talking about the Frostcraft Talisman, sadly it's just down to RNG. So the fastest way is to farm anomaly quests, do the Zinogre event that drops lots of Melding Accelerants, and spam Vigor Melding.
your build is very strong but I think you are missing some optimization in the speed category. since your builds are shackled by mail of hellfire you need some defensive options most of the time or you will be a burden in multiplayer. quick sheath, focus (faster charged is faster out of danger), defensive boost to counteract fast attacks and tank some things. i like the divine blessing, but buildup boost was, when i was testig it inferior to dragonheart and offensive guard combined. on the second build you dropped offensive guard if i saw that correctly. your build is still really damn strong i love it, its just a little frail when it comes to getting hit.
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for the feedback! 👍🏽 Gotta say there are quite a few outdated things in what you're saying though. Quicksheath is completely useless on GS right now because we have the "Powersheath" Switch Skill (Wich is literally the fastest sheathing option for GS + it pulls you out of danger & buffs your ATK). There's not a single meta Build that actually uses Quicksheath anymore 😅 Focus is great of course, but very situational too now. Wich is why i mention it as a personal preference depending on playstyle. For both Strongarm Stance & Rage Slash Focus is not very optimal, unless you're playing a more oldscholl way like i mention during the 2nd Build. For Strongarm you want to go into a charge, but then use the Counter when the Monster Attacks, so you do not want the charge to be faster because that lowers your timewindow for the Counter. Same things goes for traditional Rage Slash Playstyle. Dragonheart is okay on GS, but the issue is that it's completely useless against all afflicted Monsters. Since getting Bloodblight will always heal you above the activation treshold for Dragonheart, and deactivates the Skill. The second Build can definitely run Offensive Guard aswell for anyone that likes having it on a Rage Slash Build Just comes down to how you play the weapon personally. There's likely gonna be a Bonus Title Update Build for GS coming aswell that will be a "Offensive Tank" Build like i made in the past. If you're looking for something in that direction you might like it.👍
while it is true, that dragonheart gets deactivated by bloodblight it is mainly for second hits and when you tcs on fallen monsters. it is complementary, in my builds. it works really well in anomaly hunts because of quick sheathe plus power sheath focus and wirebug whisperer keeping me out of danger. quick sheathe literally saves me a lot. even though it is outdated. I will watch out for your tank builds. the logic of dragonheart also is if i am above 80 percent life. valstrax 300 laser will not oneshot me. if i am below 80 it cant kill me as well, also i have 10 more attack power. its just for highest possible hunts. i even run bloodrite 1 which counteracts it. I just try to look out for builds that do more damage than mine while maintaining the armor I already have. The other good thing about dragonheart is that you can find it in the recycling melding along with wirebug whisp 3. currently my talisman has 3-3. trying to get 2-2-2 which would drastically improve my build xD
@@paul1164 For sure ! Against Valstrax in general having Dragonheart active is awesome 👌🏽He's one of the few cases were I also run a more defensive Build than the ones in this Video. Most other 300 EX Monsters are fine. But some of the Elders & things like Flaming Espinas or Chaotic Gore can realy cause Problems at that Level😄
