Rematch vs one of my favorite monsters: Brachydios! This is in preparation for raging brachydios, which will come later in March.
Brachy has a bad enrage modifier. This means that when it's enraged, you're actually dealing less damage. With this new knowledge, I decided to skip the triple claw opener. Since I wasn't going to tenderize the head right away, I needed to make sure that I would crit without relying on agitator and weakness exploit (only 30% if a weak spot isn't softened). This is why I added 20% more affinity with crit eye.
Outside of that, make sure you bring blast resistance to this fight! It makes it so much better when you do not have to deal with the blast scourge. Here is another example of how the impact echo wave can be used for its amazing utility. Brachy's moveset is rather hard to deal with and it can be challenging to hit the head when the arms are getting in the way. You should prioritize the superpound and the right swing for hitting said head.
