Damn, you have one hell of patience unlike me. Im a CB user myself and whenever my phails are maxed out my thumbs are always on Traingle + Circle which usually gets me killed all the time.

It's less the difference between the playstyles and more the difference between what you're fighting I think. Notice how his namielle build has L3 coalesce but none on kirin, for example. Coalescence is easy to activate with namielle but a little more difficult against kirin. The next step is choosing elemental or impact damage type. Those skills will be completely different. You're pretty much going to stay consistent with L3 focus, artillery L3 (impact) or max element, weakness exploit L3, critical eye (30%-40%ish affinity), guard L1, critical boost L3 and capacity boost. Even on impact type, attack boost damage is barely noticeable. Crit boost does nothing for phial damage but adds a ton to your axe swings. If by AED you're referring to savage axe mode, the above stays the same. However, most people add 3 piece teo set bonus because those multihit axe swings tear up sharpness. Another way to offset the sharpness chew is to use a 4 piece silver rathalos bonus to get crits from the element attacks (not phial damage though). If you need more "comfort" for a fight and want to skim from mandatory skills, I'd say a level of crit boost or 2 can be sacrificed. Focus 2 feels real bad for me but I hear some people are comfortable with it. And, finally, if you absolutely know you wont be doing any SAED's at all in a fight, you could drop capacity boost. For me, this is a noticeable difference in charged shield/axe/sword uptimes but it's manageable.
I'm assuming you meant his phials? For that, after you go into the animation of the fully charged attack, press back on your control stick + triangle/Y and you will get the attack using only one phial.
Lokman Delzium well timed aed’s do the trick Saed is a total waste and savage axe is maybe 2-3 hits but elemental is meh . so kirin is exhaust it then aed to drop it
Your videos are great! Charge Blade has always been my favorite weapon to use, and the builds you make are very good! I'm also very impressed how well you can play each style, whereas I can only do SAED spam and even then my skills are no where near yours!
God that Glavenus charge blade is GORGEOUS. Also fantastic run by the way. I've been following you and raiiny for a long time. I learned a lot from you both, you guys are amazing charge blade hunters! Good work!
@G. Abrar he uses silver rathalos in the beginning then switches to glavenus against namielle. So yeah that is rathalos but I was talking about the glavenus charge blade.
When he fights the Kirin, idk how when it looks like he’s SAEDing. He does the axe swing instead of the full animation. What button input do you have to do for that move?
Tsanshi Fujishrio that’s...Thats it? Wow. Thank you. I’m dumb lol. What’s the difference in dmg btw? Like does it hit less for shorter animation commitment?
@@TheChaosofra Yeah it gets pulled off quicker and has less recovery frames. Dmg wise its a bit less but for kirin due to its small body size you'll prob get more hits with it than the full SAED
not a best for all. Some monsters require different gameplay styles. Like in this video I want to show that Even if using the same fire But cannot play in the same styles.
@@Tiieleven Yeah I find Kirin (and Rajang) a hard match up to fight with CB even using AED style. I'm guess I was more asking why you chose Rath for Kirin and Glav for namielle? And why master's touch over true crit element or namielle set? Aren't those options both more damaging?
As soon as i saw the vid comming up at my RU-vid.. The fucking firdt what i was thinkin of IF you would charge your blade. After I saw you've been charged your blade just once against Kirin made me happy. Thanks.
Jordan Phillips yeah dude, Kirin is fast and small, so it’s hard to get a hit on him if your weapon is slow but powerful. After hundreds of hours playing this game, I still struggle with Kirin. A LOT.
Found your channel last night, pretty dope. Inspiring me to relearn chargeblade(used to love it, then I figured out how to properly use greatswords shoulderbash). Good vid mate
yes,now teo set (Master's Touch) + Coalescense is better than namielle set (fire CB) because when both skill is activate can up fire atk to 720 (Max) but this set have a crit boost LV3 +18 Raw atk and Teo skill set Master's Touch ^^
Vonix I disagree and I’ve heard of good players like Rainy using it on occasion. Works well for savage axe style gameplay. With 4pc silver los and Garuga legs you can quite comfortably get max crit eye, wex and element attack up + crit boost/handicraft depending on decos. I think it’s better for high element CBs like Vaal and Beo.
Attack boost helps for savage axe and aed styles where you hit the monster physically whereas it doesn't help for saed style which depends purely on phial damage which is only affected by elemental attack(or artillery and felyne bombardier for impact phials)
Depends on the monster you're fighting. If you're fighting something small or slender like kirin, where you can't hit all your phials or just use savage axe style, I'd say Silverlos. Everything else Glavenus
ShingChi Yip the rathalos charge blade has better axe damage and high natural affinity making it very nice for running elemental crit and masters touch on savage axe mode, the glavenus cb on the other hand just has a lot of fire attack, so it’s axe hits are a lot weaker but it’s phail hits are more powerful, it’s more suited to SAED spammy play Savage axe mode works good on small monsters with specific weakspots and SAED works good on large monsters
Very well played, I'm a CB main also, but wow. I gotta get more practice in haha. Your jumps where on point! I usually block, my jumps aren't the best haha.
Because kirin is better with AED playstyle (less animation commitment, more precise so you don't hit his ass, and you can't land SAED reliably on kirin anyway), while namiele is better with SAED playstyle (wider hitbox so your phials can actually hit, gigantic elemental weakness when wet, peepeepoopoo raw hitzones when wet). SRath CB is better for AED since it has higher raw and natural affinity, but Glavenus is better for AED since it has higher element value.
it also messes with specific scripts one would aim for as you now have to account for clutch stagger on top of normal staggers, downs, and dunks. as well as light weapons not having a good way to soften weakpoints at least in TA. you need to claw 3 times and weapon attack to soften with light weapons and you have to re-up on it before it wears off to not lose all your damage and be forced to claw 3 times and weapon attack again.
@idantfearbro silver rath has higher raw sonit benefits more from AED and Savage Axe mode which is doing more dmg from the actual axe hits than phial dmg, where as the Glav CB has less raw but higher elemental, Power Element Phials (PEPs) do phial dmg purely based on the Elemental stat. The higher your element on a PEPs CB the higher the SAED dmg (artillery also doesnt boost dmg on PEPs CB only impact phial)
