Una de las historias que más conmueven dentro de la trama de MARIPOSA DE BARRIO gira al rededor de los capítulos 13 y 14, donde Rosie y sus sobrinas sufren de ABUSO INFANTIL, una situación que golpeo y transformó la vida de ellas y toda la FAMILIA RIVERA. Dada la importancia del tema, Rosie quiso ser transparente y compartir su historia en la SERIE, para ayudar a niños, niñas e incluso adultos que estén pasando por algo así. Ella y su esposo Abel comparten el significado de esas escenas; lo que sienten, lo que piensan y cómo se sobreponen como pareja.
El ABUSO INFANTIL sucede cuando un padre o encargado del cuidado, por acción u omisión, provoca lesiones, muerte, daño emocional o riesgo de daño serio a un niño. Hay muchas formas de maltrato infantil, incluyendo negligencia, abuso físico, abuso sexual, la explotación y el abuso emocional.

This series really triggered me so much 🥺 I identified myself so much with Rosies character. It all made sense to me why I was the way that I was my whole life. I didn’t finish the series it was to hard to watch. I’m sorry to anyone else who has been a victim 💔

I just finished watching mariposa de barrio this past weekend. When I watch the part of trino doing this to you and then seeing that he did it to his daughters at the age of 2 I couldn’t believe it and still to this day I ask myself what went through his head when he did this. I’ve talked to my husband about it too and he says people are just sick and don’t have a heart when doing this to a child he also doesn’t understand how a dad could do that to their child, I have a 2 year old daughter and idk what I’m do if I find or someone close to us would do this to her. You are a strong women and I admire you for that ❤️❤️

Cuando estaban pasando estos momentos i had to skip it. I couldn’t watch it, because it happened to me too. Idk if I’m not over it or I just wasn’t ready...It was my tíos cousin and I told my mom when I was 15, but we haven’t done anything about it. I am now 20 and I have a beautiful baby girl who I’m scared to leave with anyone that isn’t me, my mom or my sisters. I just want to send a virtual hug to anyone that needs it

I totally understand you i went through that when I was in middle school with an aunts son and it has followed me ever since and today I felt ready to go get help because I couldn’t anymore, you should too. I cried and couldn’t watch those episodes. I have a baby boy and I’m hoping my best to one day talk to him about it so he can know how to respect a woman.

Hey I was sexually abused by my own cousin and something that had really helped me is going to therapy. I recommend therapy!!! Also we have decided to speak about it and we have a case. It's not anything easy but it's the right thing to do. If you want to report do it, but if you don't want to don't do it.

i was abused by one of my dad's family member which was my uncle n when my parents would go to sleep i would fall asleep in my living room when i would be to tired to go to my bed and he would sneak into the living room and he would touch me and till this day im still traumitized and i never told my parents because i didnt want to cause problems with my family and im still scared to open up and when we go to mexico he would be at family parties and i would be scared to hug him cuz of everything he did to me

When watching series...there were times when I would feel anger towards Jenni because she kept going back to Trino! From I saw in series, a lot of times, she would pick men over spending time with her kids. Maybe she felt guilt later in life. May she RIP. Loved the series though on Netflix

I feel like Jenni did not take care of her kids if she was so much about having a good family why would you stay with a man who was not setting an example for your children on how a good family looks like I would never leave my kids with a man that acted like that towards me idc if it’s their own father if he’s abusive and speaks to me like that in front of the kids around the kids what’s to think he’s not capable of anything else ?

Yo pase por lo mismo me abuso mi padre a los 7 anos hasta los 12 despues d haber confesado pork notaba k veia a mis hermanitas igual y me dio miedo,le duro 6 dias a mi mama hablar la policia yo la odiaba por eso pero hoara d adulta lo comprendo era su proceso y luche en defenderme en la corte 4 anos y hoara que tengo mis ninos es a veces injusto sentir miedo d que mi marido podra hacer lo mismo aunque yo se que jamas lo haria porque sabe de mi trauma y igual el me tiene mucha pacencia es algo que nunca una victima podra estar Segura de que la historia no se repita mas cuando vi tu parte d abuso y cuando se dieron cuenta me llevo atras a cuando me pasaba a mi cuando yo tambien luche contra su familia porque no me creian te admiro por tener la seguridad y poder decirlo en piblico

Yo no vi la serie en Telemundo cuando la dieron por no tener cable, pero si la vi en Netflix y desde que empezó el primer capítulo me llene de Coraje, Tristeza y Anciedad hasta que llegó ese final que no quería ver porq ya sabía lo que venía, hasta pensé que todo era un sueño y que Jenni no estaba en ese Avión. Capítulo 37, fue muy fuerte para mi, no lo termenine de ver porque yo fui abusada también años 9 años asta 11 ańos, eso es muy fuerte porque tambien la persona que me maneso que iba a matar a mi mamá, lloré mucho porque mi family acted the same way when they found it the same was the Rivera’s 😢😢 it’s nice that I don’t want to hold any more secrets. Bc it feels amazing. It made me realize that I’m not alone and it wasn’t my fault.

Yo lloré demasiados literal no podía ni respirar....pero nose porque nose 🥺solo se que en mi niñez era muy alegre y después no quería ni que nadie me viera me daba asco...me tapaba en pleno verano usaba swetter para que no me vieran...Y tenía miedo a una persona literal me escondía cuando lo veía pero no entiendo porque! No entiendo porque no recuerdo nada. No entiendo porque ese miedo porque si no recuerdo nada.

Tanto que querer decirte y a la vez no saber que decir, pero me encantaron tus palabras. Veo la serie y digo de verdad Dios tenía/tiene un propósito en la familia Rivera. Que hermosa. Gracias a Dios existen personas con corazones puros. Siempre tenemos que enseñar a los hijos que nadie te debe tocar inapropiadamente. Desde chiquititos.
