I've always had a big soft spot for Dazzler, she had a unique feel to her and you have to love the disco influence. I feel the character is such a good fit for a retro toy form factor, especially in the original jumpsuit costume.

Mattel only wanted Marvel comic characters on shelves to take up shelf space next to MOTU and restrict the space competitors could take up. It’s such a bummer lady figures didn’t make it into the line and that we had to wait years for Toy Biz to put Storm and the Invisible Woman into their line to get Marvel women back on shelves post-Mego death.

I loved Dazzler. Yer gurl was a disco diva in kindergarden. Also they both could’ve shared the same buck & could’ve been reused for other ladies.

Yeah I'd love to have seen a prototype. All we've seen in art but there's no frame of reference of what they'd look like the way Wonder Woman would've been the mold for Super Powers.
