Interesting watching the demeanor of Dabo after the losses. I distinctly recall him almost laughing after the Duke loss. I have never seen him this defeated

I’m ok if you don’t use the portal. Honestly I don’t think we can afford the players in the portal. But if you’re not gonna use the portal you gotta develop the talent you brought on campus. The defense is still playoff caliber in my opinion. The offense however is Dabo hiring his kid from being Iowa. That being said the issue on offense is not OC Garrett Riley. Our offensive position coaches are unqualified for their jobs. Thomas Austin is the only coach to have previously college experience, and he had one year coaching OL at Furman. CJ Spiller’s previous coaching experience was girls track at Liberty HS. MAKE THE CHANGES DABO.

Kids go to college and transfer all the time 3:02 Kids want to go somewhere where they know their coach will put them in the best position to have success. Not using the portal and losing is a dinosaur mentality and will be used to our recruit players that Clemson wants. It's all interconnected. Stop the elitist mentality because it's not the OC. The OC can only work with the guys he has
People who think it is the portal don't know what is going on. Clemson has been in every game theyve played this year...even Duke. Self inflicted issues in every loss or you would have an undefeated clemson team. Klubnik has caused a majority of it from ball security issues. After fessing up that he dialed his own number on what was supposed to be a handoff it is starting to make sense why even Shipley is having issues with the ball. What Clemson needs isn't second grade transfer players, but rather coaches who are experts at their positions. Dabo needs to fire his former players/friends that are not qualified. Specifically the O-line.
True freshman quarterback, who was basically handcuffed by his Offensive Coordinators play calls for the first three quarters, and Clemson knew they were going to run basically every single play and the vaunted Clemson defense couldn’t stop them. It’s very rare that Clemson is beat on both sides of the line of scrimmage, but it happened tonight. If TVD had played, this could have been a rout. 😮
@@frankcristell692 that offense I saw tonight, very pathetic, poor play calling, ran up the middle the entire 4th qtr. ...Very predictable, even huddling up with a couple of minutes on the clock. Terrible clock management, not creative at all.
The media may have been a little intimidated because Dabo has been acting out ever since the media and the fanbase have had the gaul to expect some accountability in exchange for those $12.5 million a year. Preposterous!!
I dont think Cade is terrible. He just needed another year behind DJ, but Dabo sacrificed DJ's career to deflect his horrible coaching and recruiting. Dabo is a trash human.
@BuhHolWartz I think you're right. There might be something to be said about the hires of Streeter and Wes Goodwin from within at a discount instead of hiring top assistants. Personally, I think he sacrificed the 2022 team/season so he could lobby Neff for his $3 million dollar raise! Shame!!

@@BuhHolWartz the "facts" are that he wasn't developed at all last year by this staff and it carries over to this season. We had 30 yards rushing and Cade was under pressure all night and still managed to put up good yardage. That's not a QB issue, it's a coaching staff issue. He was statistically over 90% of the offensive production last night. But Clemson fans are too low IQ to understand this and they'll just resort to blaming all the problems on the QB...
Have Clemson fans ever thought how much his assistant coaches helped the team win? Now the good ones are gone… the losses keep adding up and team isn’t good anymore. Dabo not good coach
We are really young and inexperienced. Next year I expect to be in the running for 12 team playoff :). Hopefully we will get 1 or 2 OL from the portal.

What’s the only common denominator to those 2-3 seasons? I told Clemson fans that Lincoln’s brother fooled em. TCU was absolutely loaded in 22. Multiple all American type guys came back in 22 and the rest were seniors. TCU was gonna be good regardless of who the OC was…

@andrewroof8042 Well if he keeps saying things like that he might lose games to show "bandwagon" fans a lesson or keep throwing his 19yo true sophomore QB under the bus for things like pulling the ball and running it instead of handing it off like the play was called, he may lose the locker room or worse.

Doesn't make sense why you or anyone thinks this. Venables locked down the defense but had no control over the offense. Clemson issues right now are primarily offensive and it is mostly stimming from Youth. Venables just like DAbo had the benefit of back to back generational QB who didn't need development. Klubnik can be good but obviously needs time to adjust to college ball and college speed.
Also Nate almost cost us in regulation by running his mouth. That kinda stuff actually pisses me off. Like the qb on the other team is a true freshman making his first start, pipe down Wiggins.
We’ve fallen so quickly. It’s crazy that we were competing for championships just 2 years ago. It’s pretty concerning and I absolutely hate the trajectory of our program currently. If Dabo stays stubborn and doesn’t use the portal. Clemson is done. When you have players enter the portal and you don’t replenish, it’s going to hemorrhage your talent. And now, we’re losing and not competing for championships anymore. Which means less exposure. Which means recruiting is about to take a hit.
Damn that was 5 years ago now we just need to let go and go back to 2010 dabo and Clemson mentality cause that's obviously what's on our plate for ever it seems

This is not a recruiting issue this is not a transfer portal issue this is a coaching issue the fact that we had different offensive coordinators and we have a different quarterback from the past two seasons and our offense is still stuck in the mud is saying more about the coaching staff then it is about not using the transfer portal the mental stability for these guys is completely gone their fumbling they're not focused even the quarter even the coordinators is using the running backs the wrong way

Shipley should have been BENCHED after the fumble. Klubnick should be BENCHED for not following the coaches play calls. COACHES NEED TO MAKE TOUGH CHOICES. I’m sorry to be the one to say it but can we recruit guys from the hood/grew up rough that PLAY W PURPOSE instead of pastors son’s that are here to just have fun. We are too SOFT. And I think we have yet to see this as dabo’s fastest team like he said😐we lack speed big time. Does anyone think maybe it’s also time to recruit good linemen for a change, we got bullied tn just like alot of games. The offense line hasn’t ever been great but w how much we lack on offense I think good linemen would help. We don’t have to change too much, just a few tweaks and approaches to recruiting. It also doesn’t help that this is a VERY inexperienced coaching staff compared to many of our previous teams. Ps, there are guys in the hood that’d fit our culture as in talking about wanting to grow as a man, Dabo just might be afraid to dabble w them especially w nil now This is all just my opinion, I’d love to hear what everyone else is seeing and think would help

He spent the first 13 minutes 45 seconds blaming everybody and everything but himself, then at 13:46 “and I’m responsible”. Then right after that contradictory comment he goes right back to blaming his players again… tough times reveal a lot about people’s character
As a canes fan i can tell you,we want a good Clemson team not saying that they aren't good but, this isn't the Clemson team in the TL Etienne day's with that venebles defense. Still a great game played by both teams.

Disappointing game, costly turnovers and losing to a backup QB. Lack of depth in talent is one of the issues. Simple solution is available as many talented players are willing to transfer to Clemson but... We are going backwards.
You want your team to win every game they play and when they do(at least for a long time) you lose your minds win they have a bad year. Well coming from a Cane fan of 30 years. Gotta appreciate the journey and the time you spend on top. Just looks so silly seeing all the fire Dabo crap. Just root for your squad and enjoy the time at the top
Throw the ball deep to begin the game. Even if you don't connect you spread the defense out. Pass to you tight end. Miami was packed in tight at the end. No wonder the run did not work.
@@IAAP. Cade blaming himself is one thing. That’s a leadership quality that he portrays. I respected that about his answer. Very strong and team protecting type answer. However, The fact that Dabo put it on Cade showed me a lack of leadership qualities Dabo has. He should’ve said its on him and his coaching staff and he should’ve coached them to execute better.
Tigers are not very good. Talent is not there. Steve did the same thing before he jumped ship at Carolina. That would be quit recruiting top notch players. Hope I’m wrong
Cade plays like he's scared and rushed on every play!! Not good for a QB!! You've got to play calm and smooth, His game/play is jittery and jerky like he is never in control, even his runs and scrambles look weird.
I can understanding making statements about turnovers if they were just mistakes like fumbled snaps or something similar. Miami forced those turnovers. Just like Miami vs GT and that so called fumble' that cost Miami that game, the Ref's tried to help Clemson by saying their QB wasn't down in the endzone for a safety. Everyone knows he was. The reason Clemson lost has nothing to do with lack of ability or discipline. Miami's backup true freshman QB in his first start got better as the game went on, for obvious reasons, and both of Clemson's lines were getting beat for most of the game. Clemson averaged less than 1 yard per carry. Your lines got beat. There is no mystery here.
Maybe he should lower his INCOME EXPECTATION. If you coach like a $3 million/year coach, you should get paid like one. BTW, $3 million/year is a lot of frigging money.
The comments on the RPO, that's the worst. Cade is not Watson/Lawrence and shouldn't try to make those plays. probably should have just run an I form and powered it, shotgun on the one is always dumb to me.
Qb is dreaming of moments that will make him #1 pick. He needs to execute the play or bail out , you can't have a Heisman moment every play. OL is terrible
