This past Thursday I came home and smelled a terrible smell in my shed. When I opened it I noticed that our spare freezer had stopped working and the meat inside had defrosted and was rotting!! I managed to clean it out without being sick largely in part to thinking about you and how you would have loved it! I would pretend you were cheering me on. It really helped!! So, thank you for being my support even though you didn't know! Your cheerful attitude and love of cleaning is an inspiration.
Please don't say you are a loser because it's NOT TRUE! You cannot be expected, even by yourself, to know everything about appliances, cleaners, household objects, etc. from another country and culture. Shoot, most of us don't know too much about our own unless raised with the knowledge in our homes... So- you are a winner, doing exceptionally kind things for people in need and managing a sunny attitude at the same time. This is a marvelous gift and you are a generous and hard-working person. I appreciate you!-- Aside- the stove components are called drip-pans and heating units- at least, they were in my home in the 1960s. This style of stove is quite outdated now and means you are cleaning an older structure or a place where reconditioned appliances are common as this makes them cheaper. On most models, you can open the top- just hold on to a thickened part and lift up to make sure. Our stove was like that to promote cleaning and repairs...-- Enjoyed the video, as always. Bye!
Finally, a support system for the child living in these awful conditions! I am so happy to hear that the family was so supportive and helpful for the boy. I hope Melissa's sister can take the time needed to get well.
hello auri! i have depression & ADHD and my room is a disaster right now. not too much garbage or dirt, but piles of stuff everywhere. i’m also moving at the end of the month so i have to declutter and pack. it’s really hard for me… but instead of getting down on myself and overwhelmed, i’m putting on your videos and telling myself i’m you, helping someone with their house! thank you for the inspiration, you make me feel like it’s ok that i got to this point but that i can take care of it!
I have ADHD, too. I used to have a room like that. The best way that helped me clean it was to take one little section at a time. I started in one corner, then just kept going from there. It really helps when I can compartmentalize in my head what I’m going to work on and take it one section at a time. I wish you luck & good vibes!
I once helped my ADHD friend to clean her house. And from my understanding, people with ADHD, you are not incapable of doing it! You are just being overwhelmed by all of these little tasks everywhere and that freezes your mind! So glad you decide to do it anyway despite the difficulties!! That’s also the most important and most helpful factors I seen in these situations, you have to start somewhere, once you start, it becomes easier.
Midwest Magic Cleaning was just talking about all the people who reach out to him that need cleaning help, but aren't local! Maybe you can ask him about towns or states in America that seem to have a lot of houses that need help? I'm sure he'd have some good leads.
I already knew she was crazy about cleaning but when she said “I love cockroaches” I was SOLD - she’s not like the rest of us. 😅 Thank you for being here for those in need. The U.S. needed you Auri!
I knew that when she said she loved mold but friggin cockroaches lol. She has to be from another planet 😂. I love her and she is definitely an inspiration.
Just a note because I know Auri isn't used to cockroaches ... leaving fruit out on the counter is a cute decorating touch, but in an apartment infested with roaches, as soon as she leaves and the room goes dark the roaches will be all over the exposed food source. Decorate with something else.
Did you see the bugs (tiny bugs that weren't roaches) scatter from that bottom shelf 6:01 , they're pretty small I'm impressed the camera picked them up
A pest control company oughta hook up with Midwest magic, Barbie, Bonnie, and Auri to help eradicate any hidden nests after they clean. I mean if a company can get rid of the pests in these houses, that’s great press.
Ms. Auri may not know everything, but she sure is a heck of a good cleaner an amazing cleaner, and has an amazing big heart.💖 Best wishes to Ms. Auri always! 💓💖💓😍
I agree! The smells can get so bad. I had to help my mom clean her house when she was older. And it was ridiculous how dirty it got. This from the woman who yelled at me to clean my room! Sometimes I would go in equipped with brushes and ten different cleaners. And I'd attack the house. I wish I knew Auris tips back then!
Hi, Auri, I loooove your videos. I find myself talking like you when cleaning especially my kitchen and bathroom lol. I think 99% of us would like you to bombard us with more cleaning videos regardless of location. I love your content so so much
On the stove, you should be able to open the top. You see where there is an obvious crease or opening just under where the burners are? It just pops up and then you can clean the flat surface underneath. You may have to pry it with a butter knife or your scraper if there is a lot of grease buildup. But, every electric stove with the coil burners that I have had opens this way. I'm not sure about the glass top, flat top stoves, as I have never had one of those. But, with the coil burners stoves you have to be able to lift up and clean because sometimes food boils over and runs down underneath. As far as the walls, they do need to be cleaned good and get all the surface dirt and grease off before any painting is done, so the paint can adhere good and have a smooth finish in the end. Thank you for helping this lady. What an amazing difference you have made. Can't wait to see the rest. :)
I’m not sure if I’m the only one, but the Finland/Euro cleanings are more rewarding and enjoyable to watch for some reason. I just like the spraying down of the whole bathroom and the surfaces seem to clean better there and have a better result than the US. Call me crazy! 😜
I like that she is learning American houses. We naturally lift the stovetop to clean it. Go to Walmart for a new blind without thinking about it. I couldn’t have a drain hole in my bathroom like in Finland. I would 100% bust my butt every time.
I feel the same, Finnish houses seem to be built more efficiently. Also I think they are all in good shape under the dirt, maybe there are laws that landlords have to fix things and repaint the place before new tenants arrive?
PORTLAND, OREGON!!!! I was a home health nurse there for 5 years and I have never seen so many apartments that you would love!!! and the Pacific North West is a BEAUTIFUL area!!
You are amazing that home looks so clean let's hope that the family gets better health and returns to live in this home Your a angel helping and never judging people
I do the same to help me clean, but am personally tired of crime podcasts. I found I was listening to them because I like stories, but I don't like the content of those true crime stories (if that makes sense). So, I am trying to find other things to listen to. The world is too sad anyway to hear about crime anymore I feel.
Auri, You do such a good job! I can’t believe you don’t get overwhelmed by the dirtiness. You are such a light in peoples lives! Thank you! You have such an amazing attitude and so much energy! ❤❤❤
9:04 the top of the stove comes up. Just pull up and you can clean under it. There are little bars that hold it open. To close it push the bars backwards and it will close.
Yes they lift up. I clean in downtown Chicago, and it took me awhile to figure out that they lifted up so don't feel bad. I love to watch you clean if you ever come to Chicago or Indiana I'd love to clean with you. I've done quite a few places in really bad conditions, and it is soooo satisfying lol like you say. I once lived in a building where 4 hoarders were evicted all at once and boy was that something else. Unfortunately, after they were gone the entire building was overrun by roaches! such a nightmare! Keep up the great work and Bless you!
Wow! You always do such a good job! I love watching your videos, it gives me such satisfaction watching things go from messy and dirty to clean. Keep up the good work! It is very inspiring!
I absolutely love watching you change people's lives by cleaning their house. I live in America I'm in Rhode Island and you should probably go to New York City. There's so many people there and I bet you would find a lot of houses / Apartments to clean.
Oh, Auri, you are very smart, very hard working, and you have such a warm, loving heart ❤️, and how could you know American appliances and such when you aren't from here? You are amazing and are making such a positive difference in people's lives ❤️ Beautiful job! 😍
The metal pans with the center opening under the burners are called drip pans. Someone described how to open the top of stove. Once you pop it up there’s a metal wire that you can hold the top up with so it doesn’t keep falling down on you! When you’re done cleaning the top you just undo the wire support down and let the top just fall back down into place. Fantastic job as always!! I would say NYC or LAX would be good big cities to clean. 💕
Hey Auri, instead of bending down that might cause future back problems, I would suggest wearing cushioned knee pads when cleaning or picking stuff up from the floor. This has changed my life so much.
Auri has often said she cleans as much as she can in the time she has. This apartment is going to be repainted so the appliances will be removed and walls cleaned when that takes place.
I would definitely recommend having as next stop New York..there are amazingly dirty apartments, and you can meet in there with Clean with Barbie and have a wonderful cleaning collaboration ..she's a lovely person and cleaning warrior just like you ☺️
Your videos consistently make me cry. I can’t imagine what some of these people go through, mentally and emotionally. I’ve been in the midst of big messes bc of my depression and I would have been overjoyed to have such a nonjudgmental helper in my life. You do so much more than clean.
Look at the stove, above the oven door, there is a lip or long line crack, this is where you lift the stove top and you can clean what fell under the heating elements/coil. I'm also European and had no clue you have to lift it, and during inspection I got in big trouble because there were huge puddles of grime/coil and food stuff.
Excellent job again! The kitchen looks amazing. I hope this lady is getting counselling along with her son. I wish them both a happy and bright future.
Hi Aurikatariina. You are providing families with hope and the desire to crawl out of despair. Melissa's sister put "fear" into her son not to tell anybody how their home looked because in the USA - especially Florida - Child Protective Services will remove children from the home. The son living with grandparents was a really good decision. The mother's depression would be 10 times worse fighting Florida to regain custody of her son.
Yep, that child was told by someone not to say anything or invite anyone over. I really hope the little boy is thriving with therapy and living in a clean home with stable people.
Hi Auri, there are some cleaners in America who do the same thing you do, maybe you could ask them for help? I just know of Midwest Magic Cleaning and Clean With Barbie and A Beautiful Mess - personally, I think Clean With Barbie in New York would be a really great match for you, there are so many people in New York, there MUST be many dirty apartments!
( Midwest Magic Cleaning said I should check out your videos) I am impressed by the work you do for these familys. They must have been happy with the end result. Now they can move on with their lives. Keep up the good work.
Auri how about opening the windows during cleaning? I worried about your lung due to chlorine gas. Anyway it's wonderful and happy cleaning online experiences. I really super appreciate for your help and energetic positive energy Auri. I love you ❤❤
Wow, Auri. I have been watching your channel for a long time now, and even I said "oh my god" out loud at that after photo of the living room and kitchen. What a transformation. You really did make it beautiful again. You're a star, as usual!
You're a Saint! I had a huge clean up with my bipolar son. After junk eas hauled off my friend and I cleaned for hours. Luckily no kitchen there. Bath, living, bedroom and patio.
Auri, you are the best! Thank you for making these videos to share, but did I hear you correctly? You like the roaches in Miami? Goodness! I was shocked to hear that! BTW: I wouldn’t mind watching longer videos where you showed some of the “boring stuff,” actually, that would be nice. Also, the longer the video the better. Love the content & love your voiceover & I love to learn from you too. And, in my humble opinion, I really enjoy it when you show the before & after, but you need to take a few more seconds showing the after. It just goes by way too fast to be able to get the details & appreciate them. Also, I wanted to say that your English is getting so much better, so fast! I am very proud of you. Learning a new language after being a grown-up is no easy task…Lord bless you & yours dear Auri. The USA would love to have you here permanently, I am sure! Take care. 💚
Hey I am from India and love you so much...I got inspired for cleaning my own mess😂..earlier cleaning was always a sort of burden for me but now I just love it and ofcourse the credit goes to Auri❤
Do you get many of the products and tools in India. Or is it Vim, Harpic, Lisol and Scotch Brite. Wanted to look for some of the featured products. Considering that many of Indian meals are oil heavy
Hi Auri. while you were cleaning the fridge, I had a smear on the screen of my cellphone, and I was like ""there's no way Auri can't clean it" 😂😂😂 Edit:I thought it was a smear on the fridge ha ha ha
Auri, you’re a fantastic person and cleaner. There are so many things in Finland that we here in America don’t know because we don’t have them. Like the floor drains in the bathroom or the shower that is just in the corner of the bathroom. I just turned 60 and learned cleaning tips from you and I’ve been cleaning my house since I was 8 years old. There is always something new to learn and discover as we age!! Please don’t be hard on yourself when there’s something you didn’t already know. FYI not all stoves in America lift up on top. Most do but not all! I’m sure you could find a lot of homes in California to clean. But as someone else mentioned, talk to Mac from Midwest Magic Cleaning and he might be able to help you find a good area with lots of homes to clean!! ❤❤❤❤❤
Auri you are definitely not stupid! Look at the business and following you have, and you are a talented young lady! It must be quite an adventure to experience living and working in a different country, learning all about new places! I live in Texas, it gets quite hot here in the summer, but November it cools enough that you may like it! There are so many great states and sight to see, I’m sure that wherever you go it will be fun and amazing!❤
You Are the only person in the world i wouldnt be ashamed to let clean my flat 😂❤ i love to look at these videos for motivation for my own cleaning. Cuz of chronic pain And depression i let It go kinda bad
I had not seen any of your videos for a while. Recently had surgery that I am recovering from and here you are! The perfect pick-up. I love your incredible enthusiasm for DIRT!!! It helps me a lot... I live with a very messy husband and I have a hard time coping with it. You give a breezy attitude about it and when I am well enough I can get the cleaning done quickly now!
For stoves like that, the bottom is a drawer that pulls out, there's the normal oven opening, and then the top lifts like the front hood of a car, with a hinge at the back. I only learned that last one a few years ago and I grew up with an oven like that, so there's a lot of us that don't know that.
I LOVE your videos! You should try Texas next! We are a huge state so you’d never run out of houses to clean and there are so many memorials, amusement parks and events here to visit!
Come to western Canada!! You’d love it here! I am a professional cleaner out of the Southern Gulf Islands LOTS of messy hoarded homes because the general rule is once something comes to an island, it never leaves!
What a job! When I watch your videos I end up feeling a lot better about the state of my house. I feel like there is a lot of dust and grime, but I’ve never needed to shovel my floors or under my furniture, so it’s all relative. And if I can feel compassion for the folks in your videos, surely I can feel compassion for myself!
Hi Auri! I heard you refer to me when trying to open up this stove to clean it. I'm sorry that particular model didn't work in doing that for you. It's the older electric models, from 20 or so years ago, that were made to open up the whole top for easy under electric element cleaning. You did a fantastic job cleaning up all the thick sludgy grease on this stove just reaching in. I had to do that myself over the years when I boiled something over on the stove. You still might be able to do the lift up range top some where when you're here in the states, though. Awesome job as always! ♥
I hope the Mom is doing better and hope that she gets her Son back real soon I know she loves him very much as he loves her I also believe they both need each other in there lives
You’re not dumb sweetheart it’s all good 😊 The metal thing on the stove is called a burner (that’s what my family calls it) Some stoves the top part does lift up so you can clean under it. My stove is older and it takes a little elbow grease but lifts up. I hope this helps! Love you and the work you do!💜💜💜
Honestly, central Florida could definitely benefit from some Auri magic! There are a lot of people with mobility issues and disabilities, but their isolation makes it difficult for them to get help. If you want to stay in Orlando, there are also lots of fun things in the area, like springs, kayaking, and manatee tours, not to mention all the theme parks, so you can take a break and enjoy some fun you-time between cleanings! Anywhere you go, try looking for areas with older populations, and Churches can be a good place to advertise. Even if church members themselves don’t need assistance, they usually know of a friend or neighbor who is struggling. (This is especially true in central Florida, because a significant portion of the population is much older, and much more likely to suffer from things like mobility issues and diminishing support systems.)
7:27 sorry if it’s already been answered, but the stove things are called drip pans, the spiral part you plug in is called the element or burner. I think on most electric stoves you can just pull up on the cooktop and it’ll open right up, I don’t think there’s typically any button or knob to turn to release it. The hinge is designed to lock open once you pull it up and you can release it manually when you are ready to close it again, by pushing it back. I’m sure there’s a YT video somewhere explaining it. Hope that helps😊
Amazing transformation, that was a really dirty one! wow! I wish for the Mother and Son new beginnings and a much better life,😊💞You did a wonderful thing!!! 🌞🌞Stay safe and see you next week!!
