Today on the GDR, we recap ND's 28-3 win over Miami (OH) on Saturday inside Notre Dame Stadium and what our takeaways are from a sloppy victory. We also look around the CFB World for week 4.
This analysis fails to take into account the limits on the QB that a leaky offensive line (especially the left side) places on a QB dropping back to pass. You switch out for Angeli and you are going to see much bigger problems, including an increased # of sacks. Leonard obviously isn’t comfortable throwing to his left because of the line and his mobility is an expedient remedy to a bad offensive line. IOW, some of Leonard’s issues stem from a weak OL that is not conducive to long downfield throws.
