Nice perspective, reminds me how the Police were when I was a kid. Interacting with us exactly like this video showed. When they patrolled our area they would call us by name and sometimes even bought us ice cream in the summer. Wish I could remember his name, I do know he retired. Cheers to the Miami Police!!

In fact, only around 2% or so interactions end in fatal or negative results. Dont quote me on any of these but its a good estimate.

Phenomenal community policing at its finest. The professionalism that OFC Gio and OFC Rodriduez demonstrated in this vlog is the exact reason why I want to be a police officer to this day. I can remember growing up when the police officers in my city would take time out of their day to talk to us and throw a football or even shoot a few hoops. The positive impact into the community building relationships between police officers, youth and adults is priceless. Keep up the amazing work at the City of Miami.

Awesome. Ofc. Rodriguez is a cool Officer. Fun personality. Always the best people to work with. I was in a police exploring program in high school and always enjoyed going on ride alongs with the female officers. Always had a lot of laughs. I believe the LAPD does have several social media sites. Remember, social media at the level it is today is new for police departments and they have to be very selective about what and how they do things.
