Wow man! I lived near Overtown as it was undergoing "gentrification". When you said that at one point Black people were allowed to work but not live there, I thought about Palestine. The ironies are ugly, but thanks to the people, Miami is a vibrant and exceedingly costly place that I had to move from. I love how you share so many aspects of your travels. Vive la vida amigo!
The Palestine point is a great comparison…. Miami relative to the wages made isn’t affordable at all… Something has to change family… The more I travel is the more similarities I see across the board… with differences for sure though! Thank you so much for watching! And supporting graciassss famila!!!
@@KeenanLambert198 I appreciate it @Keenan Lambert. I used to travel for work before getting sick. I saw way too many similarities I used to think only pertained to the U.S. Sadly it's worse than any virus or plague. Please keep up the informative content.
Thank you for coming through to support Coco, I'm honored to have you as a subscriber. I first found out about the saltwater railroad from a teacher in high school. I did some further research years later.... They're some undeniable culinary links between the American South and the Bahamas.... One day I will have to go to Nassau, Freeport and beyond to dig underneath the surface. One love RU-vid family!
I didn't know Red Rooster was also in Miami. There's a Red Rooster on Lenox and 125 in Harlem. Is it owned by the same person? I never heard of that Netflix show.
@@CocoBates thank you for that info!!! I landed back at LGA that night and tried to touch the Harlem Red Rooster but it was closed 😭… I went across the street to Corner Social instead 😅.
