The Jack Kearns spearfishing tournament was hosted by South Florida Freedivers with several sponsors including the SuperBowls "Ocean to Everglades" initiative.
Being in the primitive, polespear, division and in my first tournament, it was a lot of fun overall. Seeing those huge fish that the other categories brought in gets me really excited for the next tournament to come.
When the giant mackerel got away, it broke my heart. Hopefully i'll find it again and some grouper.
These Almaco Jacks I shot taste great, they're up to par with Hamachi Sashimi as well.
