Pat Daniel Carter - Grew up in Miami, lived my days of the 1960's working for Sou Bell at 330 Bisc Blvd. Got married to a military man - left forever in 1970. This video blew me away. A transformation like nothing I could imagine. I loved to swim at South Beach. Swam in Venetian Pool, lived in a tiny apt in Coral Gables. Shopped at Burdines. At one time the old Biltmore Hotel was a Veterans Administration facility. Last time in Miami was 2002. Beautiful city now more beautiful than ever. Great video to enjoy ! Thanks~~

As a Miami resident for about 50 years now, I can personally tell you that anything that was showed here (other than Little Havana), you would have to be well off, very well off, or rich to afford any rentals or have a mortgage there. Even the surrounding cities of the metropolitan Miami area have caused rental and home prices (including my home) to go up substantially. And one more thing, living ANYWHERE near the coast or near water (lake, river, ocean) like in the downtown area, Miami Beach, etc, you are going to pay the price!

Thankfully CA doesnt have the inflation rate of Miami which is the highest in the country nor the huge frauds in the medical industry or the overall crisis of homeowners property insurance. If you want to see real greed you need to leave your entitled community of Naples.

(So Cal) was already huge but the place to be in the 60's/70's. Miami felt like a really small town in contrast. Nowadays, even Key West is too crowded.

When I visited Miami a couple of weeks ago in December of 2023, I have to say that I was very surprised. Beautiful, rich city, clean, warm and sunny even in the middle of winter. I'm so glad I brought my drone with me. Although my drone and camera video that I'm going to upload in a couple of days on my RU-vid channel is not as informative as this one, it is unique because it has more personal engagement. @@BillionDollarApp I've been to many countries around the world, visited Miami a couple of times and I liked it but it's not even in my top 30 most beautiful cities. Barcelona, Dubrovnik, Prague, Lisbon, Palma de Mallorca, Istanbul and many more, are far more beautiful and enjoyable than Miami, which is unwalkable and full superficial people, like most of US cities. Even San Diego is better with its mountains, parks and zoos

Well it has the first modern L train system since the last one was built in Philadelphia that opened in 1907 with turnouts before it goes into a tunnel in the center of the city from the 69th Street Terminal. My old hometown of NYC had the first one when a short one for several blocks had a demonstration run in 1867 with a wheel set with a seat in the middle with Charles Harvey pulling the cable that propelled the set for several blocks backwards and forwards. It operated from Rector Street to 29th Street and 9th Avenue terminal and was double tracked and extended into the Upper West Side in 1878.

Thank you for a nice vlog. 👍. Miami Downtown and also the whole area have changed a lot since my last visit. So.. It happened pretty long time ago. City looks nice and renewed. The prices of properties have exploded to heights. Outside the reach of most of us. But the city is still worth while visiting, as iconic tourist destination.

Check out cnbc on richest cities in the USA for 2024, Miami is 9th on the list just ahead of Austin TX. This article is misleading cities like Dallas, Seattle, Houston, Boston, NYC, Seattle, Los Angeles and San Francisco Bay Area are all higher than Miami in America’s richest cities!
