I can't have this tune on in the car without asking how much time do we have. If my son is with me, I always get 25 minutes. Absolute classic TV and music!
The best scene of the show and one of the best in TV history of all times. More than 30 years ago and still better than anything today. Miss you, Sunny.
@@HardcoreMotors Oh, dear. Another fanboy. Offended over a near 40 year old show. So sweet (sorry, bitter). It didn’t set the standard for TV today. It evolved it. Try learning your history of broadcasting before lamenting a series that wasn’t a masterpiece.
@@AirwolfArchive Oh dear. A wannabe smart ass keyboard warrior. No other tv show was produced in the way miami vice was before it. Simple fact. Now go out of your mum's basement and catch some sunlight.
I didn't watch much Miami Vice when I was a kid, and never saw this scene until very recently; but even with that in mind, 40 years later, it still stands a beautiful and powerful scene. 'In the Air Tonight' is the perfect music to underpin the turmoil Crockett is going through
He’s lying , the music , films , fashion the freedom of it all far better than today look at how many films and tv shows adverts etc feature 80s songs or the decade that was simply the best ever
Really? I visited the Czech Republic in the early 90s, just a year or two after the "Velvet Divorce". They already had a ton of American TV, I'm surprised you got it just now. Anyway, welcome :)
@@chunkychuck Can someone please explain the quintessence of this scenario? Where do they go, why thy have 25 minutes and what is about the background of the phone call?? 😭 but please explain in easy English words because I don’t understand/speak English not so good
@@musicloverdumdidum You need to watch the show :) This is just a clip. But I will try. The guy in the passenger seat in the beginning is a bad cop and sold information to the mafia. It got Sonny's (the driver of the car) partner killed when the mafia set a bomb. But what Sunny gets from the bad cop is the location of the big drug deal the mafia is doing that night. So then Sunny and Crockett are going to arrest the mafia, but Sunny stops along the way to call his ex-wife (they still have enough time to do so, why he asks about how long they have). They are divorced. He wants to know if they really loved each other. She says yes. Hopefully that helps.
Oh at the end they take the boat so they can intercept the drug deal. It's out on a boat or something (I don't remember exactly.) But the TV show is in Miami so they always have boats in the show :)
I was half-expecting Crockett to reply to Scotty's justification ("I never expected anyone to get killed.") with a retort, something along the lines of: "But people DID get killed - Eddie Rivera, for a start!"
Big fan but lets be honest season 1 was flawless afterwards it has never has peaked like that but thats ok .. this is one of my favorite scenes love it when he calls his ex wife .
