You can only imagine that the people who chose the music for the end scenes of Miami Vice had a personal music collection that was the best of the 80's B-Sides! My entire music collection is based off of what I heard on Vice!
Man this is badass! Edward James Olmos is such a smart and talented actor! Omg Lawrence Fishburne! Can’t get any better! Ron Pearlman! Omg this is fantastic! And the music! My god! Love the 80’s!
OMG!! I have watched this clip multiple times and never saw Ron Perlman until now! ha ha. I love Laurence....love Edward James Olmos....love Tubbs....love this clip in general
I'm rewatching all five seasons of Miami Vice presently after 30 years, and this was one of my favorite songs from the show. Well, I loved all the music so much that I purchased first the album, then two CDs by Jan Hammer. But what I really wanted to comment on was how brilliant Edward James Olmos portrayed his role in this scene. This is really the first time we see Castillo go completely off the rails as Lt. crimebuster and savior of a member of his dedicated team. I'm kinda partial to Edward in this role because my second husband could have been his twin in almost every way, from height, features, and even personality although my second husband smiled a bit more than Castillo but not much. Thanks for posting this video.
I remember the very first time I saw this episode and like many other Miami Vice episodes, it just blew me away. Beautifully made amazing use of music to tell a powerful story. Greatest TV show of all-time.
Don’t forget his appearance in The Color Purple. Those two men have been in everything. This show had guest stars that catapulted into stardom afterwards.
Salute to Miami Vice. One of the best shows of the 80's. I remember the NBC Friday primetime lineup. Sting Ray Miami Vice, then Crime Story. Not to mention one the best soundtracks and Castillo being a bad motor scooter.
I was a radio DJ in those days. I played this song a lot and totally loved it. I also loved "vice". When watching this episode and heard this song being used (so brilliantly) I just about wet my pants!
When planning for a surprise the least you want the criminals to know is you and the squads coming in. And you need at least some coverage, which is why they came in from a different direction than the vice cops did.
Did this for 16 years. Forst job out of college and we was supposed to inventory hallmark in south tower on 9/11/01 and ended up doing a financial hallmark that day in New Jersey.
Castillo’s 8 shot revolver. Where did he hide the extra amo. Switek and Zito always looked like they found their outfit from vacant houses. Favorite show, but this always made me laugh.
One of the best episodes ever, along with the one with Willie Nelson as a Texas Ranger. There is also the one where a strange dude was breaking into homes at night, throwing white flower all over the kitchen then raiding the refrigerator and eating raw steaks! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-JFcQUlzw7uc.html
@@TungstenLion Then you must also remember this one where strange dude was breaking into homes raiding kitchens and eating raw steaks ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-JFcQUlzw7uc.html
Excellent scene - one of my favs...but never understood why they didn't drive the SWAT guys all the way down that path. They just ran and ran and never made it there on time. lol
Assuming that was a six shot revolver.... Castillo was out of bullets yet fired seven 1) Kitchen door lock 2) Propane Tank, 3)By fence takes out guard (fires twice), 4) Fires Three times after he is shot at by guard 1+1+2+3=7
